Governor Ron DeSantis Endorses Senate
Candidate Joe O’Dea, Who Vows to Campaign
Against Donald Trump

Original Article

Posted By: jdr, 10/24/2022 1:15:11 AM

A week ago, Colorado senate republican candidate Joe O’Dea said on CNN, “I don’t think Donald Trump should run again.” He quickly added, ” I’m going to actively campaign against Donald Trump and make sure that we have got four or five really great Republicans right now; Ron DeSantis, Nikki Haley and Tim Scott.” President Trump blasted O’Dea the following day. Today, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis picked Joe O’Dea as his only 2022 endorsed senate candidate, recording a robocall for O’Dea that says, “Hello this is Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. America needs strong leadership and desperately. That’s why I’m endorsing Joe O’Dea for U.S. Senate. Colorado, please vote for Joe O’Dea.”

For certain, Haley is no good, and I don't much trust Scott. This O'Dea sounds like Deep State.....so, this throws some real shade on DeSantis, IMO.

Uh oh, this does not sound good. What the Republican Party does not need is a fight between the two big dogs. After reading the article, especially the list of actions taken by DeSantis, I am afraid that is where we are heading. It’s a real shame too because I thought DeSantis really was one of us but his actions and sources of support tell me otherwise. I just do not understand how anyone could fall in with the establishment after everything we have seen them do. I trust Sundance and do not believe he would put false information out there. What a waste of talent when ultimately it is used to protect the status quo.

Mitch McConnell and friends have low expectations. He wants just enough to have a majority. 51 is good enough for him and he will settle for 49 or 50. Others would like enough to override vetoes. This endorsement is for the Republican in the general election. This is NOT a primary.

Sundance speaks Truth since we met him from Chicago years ago regarding Zero back then. He is articulate, sharp and trustworthy. Donald Trump never had to get involved in politics, but he did because as a wise, astute, articulate, honest and intelligent international businessman, he recognized the coming downfall of America which he truly loves by the evil Soros’ and money-hungry Dems and Rinos of our world. DJT has lost thankfully only some of his personal wealth in his fight to Make America Great Again. No One in history except our Founding Fathers loves and works harder for The American People than Donald John Trump. Watch his rallies and his coat-tails already these last few months. Sadly, Desantis IMHO has joined the McCarthy-McConnell team. Not good! TBIYTC

I'm not ready to judge, yet. I will say we don't need 'yes' men. Healthy opposition is good for the party. You must have eyes open in this business. If Trump runs in 2024, I will vote for him. My only beef is he did not vet his cabinet choices. He was too naive. Whoever is the next president must say, "you're connected to DC establishment, aren't you? NEXT!..."

The country’s Republicans are not united on Trump’s appeal for 2024. Maybe DeSantis is saying less about Trump and more about needing some new blood. After all, much as Trump was a superb POTUS policy wise, he is a little old about now and in 2024, he’ll be a good bit older. I suggest we don’t jump ugly on DeSantis until we see this story shake down a bit more.

DeSantis is being controlled by the GOPe, and they are in cahoots with the Left. That's why it's called the Uniparty. Trump wants to fix the problems in this country. The GOPe just wants to retain their control. I will NEVER choose DeSantis over Trump.

The people backing DeSantis for POTUS are the same folks that funded Shrub Bush. DeSantis is a good governor but he is not MAGA. He has one foot in the swamp and if he runs he will be obligated to maintain the status quo. The money train in DC must not be interrupted. DeSantis is smart enough to know that running against Trump will end badly for him. President Trump has a nickname already picked out for RD.

Can't DeSantis support who he wants to? Like some posters have said, there are choices that Donald Trump made that didn't make sense. I am not lockstep with Donald Trump in everything he does. And that pretty much sums up government for me, too and most of that has to do with government thinking they are a substitute for God.

What a way to start the week! We need BOTH Trump and DeSantis in our Corner. I live in Florida and I will tell you DeSantis is a Great Governor and would be a Great President. I have been behind Trump from Day One and I don't want DeSantis to run against him! Nobody says he will and we shouldn't start bashing DeSantis because IF Trump does Not run, DeSantis WILL most likely run and he WILL win! Articles like this will simply tear apart our Party! Soon we will see Articles stating Trump is too old, too deep in Troubles from all sides regarding his Businesses and the FBI. We could go on and on bashing Trump for constantly whining about the 2020 Election being stolen (we all know it was), or for constantly bragging about great he is. You get what I'm saying? We should NOT be bashing EITHER of our potential Candidates for 2024 because when the time comes to begin campaigning, BOTH of our Candidates will be battered and it will be hard to put Either of them up against a Democrat. Not a good move on our part! Trump has a right to win and finish what he started, but DeSantis is the Young Face of the Republican Party. Lets not Bash Either of them! If they do happen to Both Run, against each other, I guess we will see what the Voters want to do! We want a Win, not a Democrat walking into the Oval Office, smiling, because we killed our Own!

Not sure why DeSantis is weighing in on a Senate race in Colorado. Governor - I can see. As for posters here who say the GOP shouldn't rotate around Trump, well, what about the Dems rotating and rotating around Obama and Hillary? But if the GOP rotated around someone like Larry Hogan of Maryland - you would be happy. I like Desantis. In many ways, he is superior to Trump - he knows how to attack his critics with style and none of the bluster and spittle (figuratively). And on the other hand, not sure why O'Dea made it a priority to say he is campaigning against Trump. O'Dea should first focus on getting elected to the Senate before he starts weighing ion on Republican politics at the national level.

Let's see, DeSantis is supporting a Republican in a general election against a Democrat. Trump gets upset because he doesn't like the Republican and doesn't want him to win. Ergo, Trump would rather see a Democrat win a Senate seat than a Republican. By extension Trump is helping Chuck Shumer's efforts to maintain control of the Senate. I've supported Trump in the past, but I'm tired of his ego trips and his vendettas against Republicans.

That’s an awful lot of vitriol to pour out over a single Robocall support ad. Whether we like him or not, there is exactly one Republican running in that Senate race. Would you seriously rather a Democrat held that seat? Party purity purges communists and fascist do. DeSantis’ move is smart for the Party and the Nation. Or would you rather have a few more own-goals like osoff and warnock? How’s that working out? I supported PJT twice. I support him now. But the GOP pre-dated him, it will exist long after he is gone, and it is much more than him. Trump has done great things, but his ego is an Achilles heel in national politics. Defeating whoever is pulling Joe Biden’s puppet strings must be our very top priority.. Even if the imperfect instruments doing so offend Trump, Sundance, you, or me.

When DeSantis was in Congress he voted "yes" to fast-track TPP. That is all we need to know. China had already been invited to become part of the TPP, and all member countries would be required to conform their internal laws to the regulations put in place by the Trans Pacific Commission. That would have been the end of American sovereignty, and DeSantis voted FOR it. Trump took us out of TPP soon after he was elected Presiodent. Trump 2024

Thank you, #24 You saved me a lot of typing. I'm also a Floridian. I have no trouble supporting both Trump and DeSantis right now, and when I read sundance describe DeSantis as a "generally good governor," I think sundance has taken leave of his senses. Temporarily I hope. Recall, please, that DeSantis squeaked into office over Gillum, but now looks to be leading a landslide against the vainglorious Crist. He has faced nasty headwinds and has grown tougher. Jeb shrank, looking back. Purists like to chew up impure candidates. Progressives do it, and it looks like sundance would do it, too. I don't know the Colorado race, but it looks like O'Dea is losing, and I don't see a Trump purist in the race. I do see a Democrat, though, and if DeSantis's endorsement helps, God bless him. I agree with #2. We do not need any circular firing squads in the Republican ranks. Both Trump and DeSantis are competent leaders. But, unlike Trump, DeSantis doesn’t feel he has to counter attack every time someone says something he doesn’t like. In this regard, Trump is his own worst enemy, because this gave the MSM plenty of ammunition to paint him as “orange man bad” while, at the same time, the MSM suppressed all the scandal about the Bidens. I have come to believe that the MSM’s chicanery had a more profound effect on the results of the last presidential election than any tampering with ballots.

First, we must take Schumer’s and Pelosi’s majorities away. Then we can sideline the RINOs. Our primaries will always result in a few less-than-optimal choices out there somewhere, but until we have solid veto-proof supermajorities in both chambers, we still have to vote for every Republican, up and down the ballot. To do otherwise is effectively a vote for the Democrat. And principles or no, voting for Democrats is voting against the USA. O’Dea is preferable to Bennet. You know it, I know it, and Sundance knows it. And unfortunately, like it or not, various ill-advised internet proclamations like this latest are a large factor in the Democrats’ ability in 2020 to capitalize on their strategic margin of overwhelming fraud that outnumbered the Republicans’ margin of sitting it out. Don’t be part of the sequel in 2022 or ever; go vote for O’Dea (vote against Schumer’s retaining the majority) even if you have to hold your nose.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, has signed two bills into law that will limit who is eligible to become a peace officer, even as many cities across the Golden State struggle with police shortages. Critics say the new laws will create an “ideological purity test,” preventing some conservatives and Christians from joining already-strapped police forces. Newsom on Sept. 30 signed AB 655, which bars Californians who previously had been members of a “hate group” or involved in “hate group activity” (in the past seven years) from police service. It remains unclear when the law will go into effect.

U.S. leaders have amassed a long track record of deception about Washington’s international objectives and the nature of U.S. foreign clients. Modest or even minor threats and disruptions became supposed existential threats to America’s security, as well as threats to regional or world order, in Washington’s overwrought propaganda narratives. In addition, multiple administrations routinely whitewashed the record of authoritarian foreign clients. Thus, autocrats such as Nicaragua’s Anastasio Somoza Debayle, Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak, and ugly extremists, such as Syria’s Sunni Jihadists, all became honorary members of the “Free World.”

Republican Congressman Tom Emmer has ambitions of being the third-highest GOP member if they win a majority in the midterms. Did his ambition make him commit a tactical error by attacking Tucker Carlson’s son, a staffer for Emmer’s biggest competitor? Tucker seems to think so and lashed out at Emmer in leaked conversations. According to Axios: An irate Tucker Carlson phoned Rep. Tom Emmer (R-Minn.), chairman of the House Republican campaign committee, with an ultimatum on Friday.

The 2022 midterm elections have brought some specific races into the spotlight, and one of them is in my home state of Georgia, where football great Herschel Walker is running a tight race against incumbent Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.). One of the biggest complaints that the left (and some on the right) has leveled against Walker is that he’s dumb, but that’s simply not true. He may not have the silver tongue of some candidates — including Warnock, who uses his oratorical skills to advocate for policies that fly in the face of his pastoral duties — but Walker isn’t unintelligent.

The ruling class has failed immensely. The last two years are proof, but with each passing day, one wonders: Are America’s elites plunging into madness? That’s a dead serious question. With their madness may go our lives. That’s dead serious, too. Joe Biden spoke the other day about the possibility of nuclear “Armageddon.” With cataclysm in mind, Biden’s Department of Health and Human Services spent $290 million on anti-radiation drugs. Uncle Sam makes plenty of wasteful expenditures, but is this one?

In the heated debate between his Republican candidate, Ryan was confronted and asked to explain his comments earlier in the year when he told MSNBC’s Morning Joe that the “exhausted majority” needed to “kill and confront” the extremist Republican movement.

President Donald Trump focused on the drug cartels and human traffickers pouring across the southern border in a fiery speech in Mesa, Arizona, on Sunday night. “The cartels and human traffickers have seen their income skyrocket,” Trump told the crowd. Trump told supporters attending the Save America rally that there was a “2500 percent” increase in the criminals’ income since he had left the White House. “We had the safest border in the history of our country,” Trump said. “…If you want to stop the destruction of the country and save the American Dream – the good old American Dream…then you have to vote Republicans up and down the line,” Trump said.

Gas prices are starting to creep up again. Despite Joe Biden going hat in hand to Saudi Arabia to beg for more oil production, OPEC gave him the finger and announced that they would be cutting production by two million barrels a day. Joe’s response? He’s going to continue to empty the Strategic Petroleum Reserve by 10 million barrels when it’s already at dangerously low levels and pretend like that’s doing something besides robbing our security for the future. He’s also canceling sanctions on the dictatorial state of Venezuela (who cares about human rights?) so that they can pump more and give some to us.

Democrat Senate candidates in battleground states will have a difficult time overcoming President Joe Biden’s underwater approval rating. Biden’s average approval rating in seven of the top Senate swing states is underwater by an average of 15 points, a key midterm election bellwether metric Democrats fear come November 8. According to Civiqs, Biden has a negative approval rating in the following swing states: Arizona (-18), Georgia (-20), Nevada (-17), New Hampshire (-1), Ohio (-24), Pennsylvania (-13), and Wisconsin (-13). Not included in the calculation are Biden’s approval ratings in Florida (-15), Colorado (-8), or Alaska (-21).

On Thursday, the United Nations' human rights council voted on an American-led motion to hold a debate about human rights abuses committed by communist China against Uyghurs in the nation's western region of Xinjiang. Of the council's 47 nation state members, 36 voted: 19 against and 17 for the motion. The result, said to be an "abdication of responsibility and a betrayal of Uyghur victims" by Human Rights Watch's China director, Sophie Richardson, is regarded as a win for the communist regime.

Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) won reelection Tuesday, fending off a spirited challenge from Republican Herschel Walker while helping Democrats grow their thin Senate majority in the midterm elections after a bruising four-week runoff campaign. Warnock was leading Walker 50.4% to 49.6% when the race was called, earning the senator his first, full six-year term after ousting an appointed Republican incumbent in a special election runoff nearly two years ago. Walker’s defeat was a major blow to the Republicans. They capped a disappointing midterm election season with yet another loss that effectively surrendered a Senate seat to the Democrats, who saw their majority grow from 50 to 51.

Impeaching DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for failing to secure the southern border does not appear to have the support of the some Republican senators. As border patrol has encountered more than 2.3 million illegal aliens at the border, with over 230,000 migrant encounters in October, establishment Sens. Mitt Romney (R-UT) and Susan Collins (R-ME) appear averse to holding Mayorkas accountable for the southern border invasion. “Someone has to commit a high crime or misdemeanor for that to be a valid inquiry,” Romney told Politico about impeachment standards. “I haven’t seen any accusation of that nature whatsoever.”

Some New York lawmakers are renewing the push for a state law that would lay the groundwork to pay reparations to black residents whose ancestors were enslaved. Proponents gained steam after a task force in California last week recommended that the Golden State shell out $569 billion in reparations to slaves’ descendents there, or $223,200 apiece, because of lingering housing discrimination practices. A previously proposed New York measure called for creating a commission to study the impact of slavery and providing reparations but failed to pass the legislature. It is now being revised, backers said.

Herschel Walker’s 100,000-vote loss in Georgia puts the exclamation point on the “Donald Trump is electoral poison” narrative. If the former president had deliberately attempted to sabotage the Republicans' chances ever since November 2020, he could not have been more destructive than he actually was. In the Senate, the Trump effect meant Republicans lost chances at a whopping 10 seats (one of them two times!) they either should have won or in which they might have been competitive. In the House, Trump’s harm was more diffused, but almost equally baleful.

Reports surfaced two weeks ago that Florida Republicans are considering changing the state’s “resign-to-run” law so Governor Ron DeSantis could throw his hat in the ring for the 2024 presidential nomination without losing his governorship. It is one sign among many that DeSantis, or those close to him, are thinking about taking on Donald Trump in the primary. A word of warning and wisdom to DeSantis: Don’t do it. DeSantis is a promising politician with a real future on the national scene. He should want to be president. But not yet. DeSantis needs to understand his true self-interest. Running for president in 2024 isn’t it.

Bolton wants to goad other Republicans into fighting Trump now over his remarks about “terminating” the Constitution, while at the same time misrepresenting what’s actually happening among GOP elected officials:
