The Never-Ending Persecution Of Jack Phillips

Original Article

Posted By: Hazymac, 10/6/2022 7:19:46 PM

By the time I visited Masterpiece Cakeshop in 2016, Jack Phillips, the man who had famously refused to bake a specialty cake celebrating the wedding of a gay couple, had been the victim of a four-year campaign of harassment by the authoritarians at the Colorado Civil Rights Commission intent on punishing him for a thought crime. Now Phillips is back in the news, as his lawyers attempt to get new charges against him dismissed on appeal from a Colorado judge’s decision last year. For the past decade, the media and lawyers and judges and leftists have misrepresented Phillips’ position. No, the baker never turned a gay couple away from his shop.

Phillips should bake a cake for that queer couple once and for all but load up the cake batter with a buttload of Ex-lax.

This is wrong on so many levels. Nobody should have to serve anyone if they dont want to. Its his shop and his financial risk. The government has absolutely no constitutional authority to force him to work for anyone, regardless of their "special sub group" status. We have been under the thumb of tyrants for far too long.

I've been to Jack Phillips' shop many times. It is tucked into a corner of a strip mall and isn't visible from the road. I'd read about it, and actually stumbled on it when I took a shortcut through the strip mall parking lot. He's the nicest man and doesn't deserve the harassment he's gotten and continues to get. The people who are harassing him are evil. I drive an hour each way to buy cakes, cookies and pastries from his shop. apparently others do as well, because his shop is always full when I go there. He has an atlas where he keeps track of where the people who visit him are from. The last time I was there, a couple from Tennessee was in the shop.

Too much is being made on making a cake. Good grief, if the man don't want to make you a cake, go somewhere else, or make it yourself.

#6 - It is not about a cake. The cake is their weapon to compel compliance with the New Group Think. The old ways must be stamped out. The old religions, especially Christianity, must be stamped out. God is dead. Man is Supreme. Reality is fluid. People better keep up with the changes, or they will be cancelled!

A jury has recommended that Nikolas Cruz be sentenced to life in prison without parole in the massacre of 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, in 2018. The 12-person jury’s verdict was read in a packed courtroom Thursday before visibly distraught family members and the shooter, who remained blank-faced throughout. The jury reached its decision after over a day of deliberations in the trial that kicked off July 18. The trial was to decide whether to sentence him to life in prison or the death penalty. Prosecutors had sought the death penalty, while the defense had asked for life in prison.

We live in an age of horrific wonders, signs, portents, and a news cycle of Lovecraftian dimensions. Nothing is off the table these days. For example, Mexico is suing five gun retailers in Arizona. The Mexican government issued a press release on Monday announcing that it is filing suit against Diamondback Shooting Sports, Inc., SNG Tactical, LLC, and Loan Prairie, LLC, known as The Hub Target Sports, all in Tucson, as well as Ammo A-Z, LLC in Phoenix and Sprague’s Sports, Inc. in Yuma. The suit claims that these companies have illicitly sold military-style weapons to straw purchasers to be trafficked to “criminal organizations.” The suit was filed in

Good heavens, the CDC better check the water supply at the New York Times. First, as noted here over the weekend, the Times discovered the farce of California’s high speed rail. Biden, Storyteller in Chief, Spins Yarns That Often Unravel The exaggerated biography that Mr. Biden tells includes having been a fierce civil rights activist who was repeatedly arrested. "Policymakers have decided that law-abiding citizens are secondary and that those who commit crimes are afforded protections that embolden more crime," Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro

Today is the anniversary of the birth of John Lennon. Murdered at the age of 40, he should be here to celebrate his 82nd birthday today. What a loss. His work has always struck a chord with me. Now that so much of the Beatles’ work is available on YouTube, I thought I would take the occasion to adapt comments I have made previously and note some of his less famous songs. I am a Lennonist at heart; I identify with his idealistic streak and his cynicism. In the jaunty rockabilly number “I’ll Cry Instead” he let on, “I’ve got a chip on my shoulder that’s bigger than my feet."

Democrats are reportedly running dozens of “quasi-local” news sites across multiple swing states, producing pro-Democrat and anti-Republican content under a veneer of non-partisanship. At least 51 of these “local” news sites across 10 swing states are being run by Local Report Inc., founded last year in Florida, Axios reported. Six writers from “progressive” Washington-based The American Independent have also contributed to most or even all of the websites, according to Axios. Many of their articles appear exclusively on the news sites, although the sites aggregate content from other sources as well. The outlets have non-partisan-sounding names, such as Milwaukee Metro Times,

Southfield police notified the FBI which refused to comment on the case. After 18 attacks directly claimed by Jane’s Revenge over a period of six months, the FBI has made zero arrests. How does the Hunter Biden probe end? That question is stirring now that anonymous people connected to the case are leaking to the Washington Post — leaks of investigative information and prosecutorial deliberations that are about as surprising as the fact that the Washington Post somehow manages to make its report as much about Donald Trump as about the story’s putative subject, the incumbent president’s ne’er-do-well son. It’s not a new question because it’s not a new story. Indeed, the reporting is only “new” in the sense that people supposedly in the know are talking about things that have been known for years — certainly known to readers

The Hunter Biden case is not the Hunter Biden case. It’s the Joe Biden case. All the rest is the saga of a corrupt and degraded reprobate. Yesterday someone somewhere leaked to the Washington Post that the years-long investigation of Hunter may warrant a prosecution on tax and gun charges. He may even have to pay a fine. It is impossible to be too cynical about the Post story. Reading between the lines, one can only see the coverup of the Biden family corruption at work. In his New York Post column on the leaked story Andrew McCarthy musters the high level of cynicism to read it correctly.
