Iranian Women Cast Off Their Hijabs

Original Article

Posted By: Hazymac, 9/27/2022 11:46:20 AM

The death in police custody of Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old Iranian Kurdish woman, has ignited nationwide protests across Iran. Amini was beaten to death by the mullahs’ morality police after she was detained in Tehran on 13 September, after failing to comply with the regime’s strict hijab (headscarf) rules. Women in Iran have been treated as second-class citizens by the mullahs for more than four decades. The misogynist lunacy of the clerical regime has even extended to a demand by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei that cartoon character women must wear the hijab. Now, in Iran, even animated female characters in cartoons cannot reveal their hair!

This must have happened in Tehran because I just watched a video of an Iranian city full of young people out at night and none of the young women were wearing anything on their heads. In fact, if someone didn't know this video was shot in Iran, they would think it was shot in any European city.

I’d shave my head! No need to wear a scarf! I always chuckle at how the women have to cover themselves with a long hot robe and cover their hair because another man might look at them. It’s the MAN who is at fault. Tell the morality police to put blinders on the guy. But the women are to blame!

Folks in Florida have been coping with the bad conditions from Hurricane Ian. We posted about some of the wild conditions that the people were going through down there. Gov. Ron DeSantis seems to be doing a round-the-clock effort to make sure that things are getting done to help people in his state, and he’s been working hand and glove with FEMA to facilitate their actions for his people. One of the people who has been handling a lot of the announcements regarding the hurricane has been FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell. On Thursday, Joe Biden went to FEMA headquarters to meet with her and DHS

In New York City, world leaders dodged traffic, deranged panhandlers and the city’s unique fall funk, to lecture the planet about their views at the United Nations General Assembly. Their theme was the threat that “misinformation” or “disinformation” poses to their power. “Hate speech, misinformation and abuse — targeted especially at women and vulnerable groups — are proliferating,” UN Secretary-General Guterres claimed. Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov blamed his country’s PR problems on, “disinformation, crude staging, and provocations”. “Today I have listened to further instalments of Russia’s catalogues of distortions, dishonesty, and disinformation,” UK Foreign Secretary James Cleverly retorted. Catherine Colonna, minister for Europe, countered that, “Where Russia employs disinformation and propaganda,

The media and the Democrats in office want you to think that Hurricane Ian, currently barreling down on Florida, is the fault of climate change. They’ve been pushing it all day, resulting in some seriously embarrassing moments, especially for CNN’s Don Lemon. One thing’s for sure; they think you’re stupid. Democrats want to convince you that they can somehow control the weather and that all we need to do to prevent natural disasters is give them power. That’s either unmitigated hubris coming from Democrats or malicious lies. Maybe both? Either way, let’s check out some of the examples

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — The morning after Hurricane Ian made landfall in Florida brought with it grim news. “We have fatalities in the hundreds,” said Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno on “Good Morning America,” according to Fox News. GMA reported that Marceno does not yet have an exact number. Florida Emergency Management has not yet issued a formal announcement on injuries or lives lost during the storm. “This is a life-changing event for all of us. We tracked that storm up the coast of Florida. It was very unpredictable,” Marceno said, according to GMA. Ian made landfall near Cayo Costa, Florida, an island that is part of Lee County,

This isn’t just Meta, it’s also meta. Chinese operatives playing lefties accusing Republicans of working for Russia. This is why international espionage makes for very strange bedfellows. Meta, the parent company of Facebook and Instagram, said on Tuesday that it had discovered and taken down what it described as the first targeted Chinese campaign to interfere in U.S. politics ahead of the midterm elections in November. The Chinese appeared to be borrowing the Russian playbook, cosplaying as liberals and conservatives, and claiming to care about abortion and guns. In China, the government controls all the guns and the abortions are mandatory. But the interesting thing about the Chinese campaign is the seeming

In their attempts to secure political power, leftist elitists are doing more to sow the seeds of fascism than extinguish it. The left's current prophecy of doom is that the "MAGA" movement is a grave threat to democracy, propelling the nation into fascism. Their knee-jerk reaction is intended to attack and destroy Donald Trump, leader of the insurrection. The latest ploy, initiated by the New York attorney general, is to sue the Trump organization for fraudulent loan procurement practices, a suit apparently not raised by any of the principals involved, but by her. Eliminating Trump will eliminate the specter of fascism. Did killing Lincoln restore the Confederacy?

Three of the migrants who were flown in by Gov. DeSantis to Martha’s Vineyard filed a lawsuit against the Florida governor claiming that they were somehow lured to the sanctuary island. The lawsuit is completely baseless since the “false promises and false representations” that the migrants would get “employment, housing, educational opportunities” were actually copied by Florida from a brochure put out by the Massachusetts Office for Refugees and Immigrants. A hallmark of banana republics is that those who lose power are apt to wind up in prison, or on the wrong end of a firing squad. Even more advanced countries, like Israel, sometimes have a regrettable tendency to prosecute former political leaders. It is hard to think of anything more destructive to a democracy, and yet the Democrats are going down that path. It seems clear that they intend to bring criminal charges against President Trump over his keeping some White House documents at Mar-a-Lago–a trivial offense, as far as anyone knows. Since my foray into politics, I have come to understand that our system comprises insiders and outsiders and that Donald Trump was the consummate outsider. He was opposed by the system on both sides of the political aisle. Admittedly, I counted myself amongst the opposition.
