Vice President Kamala Harris suggested during an interview in Wisconsin that people do not have to "change" their faith or abandon "deeply held beliefs" to "agree the government should not be telling a woman what to do with her body." WISN 12's Jared Jordan asked Harris about Wisconsin's role in the upcoming midterm elections. "Wisconsin will help decide the future of our country and that is what Wisconsin does," Harris said. "When we look at a woman's right to make decisions about her own body, we need two additional seats in the Senate, one of which will be Mandela Barnes to say, listen, let's stop playing politics with women's bodies.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) this week sharply dismissed establishment media attempts to politicize Hurricane Ian as they seem to salivate over the possibility of the DeSantis administration botching the response.
A reporter asked the governor about supposed concerns over Florida lacking response to the storm thus far, and DeSantis immediately questioned the validity of the inquiry.

The Senate advanced on Tuesday a stop-gap spending bill that allocates $12 billion in aid to Ukraine and $3 billion for Afghan resettlement.
The Senate voted to invoke cloture on the legislative vehicle for the continuing resolution (CR), a stop-gap spending bill that would continue to fund the federal government until December 16.
