Student loan borrowers across the country could soon see up to $20,000 of their student loan debt forgiven in the massive handout announced by President Biden – but it still may come at a cost. State tax may be charged on student loan handout funds. The tax laws vary from state to state. Former Mississippi State college student Dee Stegall said he recently found out he qualified to have $20,000 of his student loans forgiven. "I was very relieved to hear that that relief was coming from the federal government," Stegall said. But, he said that relief didn’t last. Paying the tax on $20K is still better than paying back the $20K.

I love it. I hope employers will begin to look into the student loans of prospective employees. Any student who took out a loan and didn’t pay it back is a very poor choice for any company. Who would want an employee who refuses to honor his debt?

Relief does not come from the federal gov't. But from actual taxpayers. Every time I see gov't handouts I think hardworking Americans paying taxes to a bloated behemoth that has grown exponentially to encompass every aspect of our lives and never for the better.

This is cool because they can acquire a criminal record and spend time in prison for not paying taxes where not repaying a loan has little consequence.

The Political Party That’s Built On Lies 8 replies

For decades the political left has called those on the political right fascists. Doing so is particularly de rigueur these days, with Joe Biden saying that Donald Trump supporters are semi-fascists, and then devoting an entire speech to trying to convince the nation that those who disagree with him and his party are threats to our republic. But it’s nothing more than another lie told to sustain the Democratic Party’s campaign to occupy America. Democrats have been calling their political opponents fascists since at least 1948, when Harry Truman said a Republican election win would pose a fascistic threat to America, and be even more dangerous than communism.

Bitter divisions over politics and the pandemic have seeped into churches and led to increasing rates of job burnout among pastors, multiple clergy members and those who counsel them told Fox News Digital. "Our faith does not exempt us from anxiety, depression, temptation or COVID, so that's to be expected," said David Ferguson, executive director of the Great Commandment Network, which provides counseling initiatives to help pastors. "But in addition to that, we obviously are in a real divided, polarized, politicized world, where sadly at times pastors feel the pressure to take positions on every imaginable topic."

“We can join forces, stop the shouting and lower the temperature. For without unity there is no peace, only bitterness and fury. No progress, only exhausting outrage. No nation, only a state of chaos. This is our historic moment of crisis and challenge, and unity is the path forward.” That was President Biden during his Inauguration Speech in January 2021. Nice words. Hard to argue against. After all, America has always been at its best when unified. During World War II and after 9/11. Division has never served us well. Fast forward to September 2022. President Biden is averaging around 42 percent approval, still the lowest of any first-term president in

Hosts Brianna Keilar and Jeff Zeleny were just a few of the people upset at the commander-in-chief using Marines to back him during his speech — sparking demands for their axing and an outright boycott of the left-wing network. “You are clearly a shill for the RNC,” one person whose Twitter bio includes a #BidenHarris2020 hashtag tweeted Zeleny just for saying that using the Marine Band was “a break with White House traditions.”

Where’s the outrage? Bob Dole asked in the middle of the scandal-plagued presidency of Bill Clinton scandals. Voters, it turned out, cared more about prosperity. But as U.S. politics has descended into tribal warfare, that blinding emotion has become the default position of both major political parties. Each sees the other side as more than outrageous – as threats to self-government itself. Democrats are trumpeting the upcoming midterms as a battle for democracy against their “semi-fascist” enemies; Republicans are largely running on the promise to investigate and punish the Biden administration. Lost in this Revenge Play politics is thoughtful discussion about how to address our nation’s pressing problems.

President Joe Biden thinks millions of Americans are part fascist and borderline terrorists. It would be laughable if it weren't so disturbing. Having worn out the label of 'racist,' which Biden and his political allies have applied to just about any political opponent, the dotard president has moved on to new baseless and dangerous insults. Last week, while campaigning amid stunningly negative poll ratings, Biden remarked in Maryland: 'It's not just [Donald] Trump, it's the entire philosophy that underpins the — I'm going to say something — it's like semi-fascism.' That's quite the rebuke of the tens of millions of Americans who voted for Trump in 2016 and 2020

Trash talk is common in sports. Whether it’s lighthearted or nasty, the purpose is the same: to intimidate your opponent and make them lose focus and feel less confident in their ability to win. Democrats and their friends in the media are engaging in their own form of trash talk when it comes to the midterm elections. They wave around some meaningless poll or quote an “expert” who would have us believe that Republican Senate candidates are weak, President Joe Biden has had some great successes, the Democrats’ fundraising numbers give them a huge advantage, and Republicans can’t possibly win back the Senate. None of this is true.

President Joe Biden has enjoyed a summer revival of sorts, meaning a rise in his public job approval number from a grotesquely low 36.8% in the RealClearPolitics average to a still lamentable 42%. In parallel, his disapproval fell from 57.4% to 54.7%. This is enough for Democratic congressional candidates to rethink shunning the president on the campaign trail but is hardly a ringing endorsement. Biden’s small but significant rebound is widely attributed to legislative “wins” such as the passage of the CHIPS Act, trumpeted as helping American computer chip makers compete with China, and the misnamed Inflation Reduction Act — three-quarters of a trillion dollars' worth of warmed up leftovers from my

Language is important and words do matter. Through language we learn, we communicate our intentions, we develop plans, and we express our feelings. Through language we convey our affections and transmit our displeasures. It is language that binds a family, a community, a region, or a culture together. Today, however, this fundamental cultural glue is purposefully being watered down and dissolved in order to break the bonds of our nation. Wokeism in its purest forms breaks down clarity, and replaces truth with new grievance norms that masquerade as justice. Wokeists try to negate centuries of tradition, culture and science (!) by socially shaming opposing views and using coercive tactics

Dear Steve, You ask why doctors are silent. The electronic medical records (EMRs) are a ball and chain to physicians. We are tracked through them. When I wrote a prescription for Ivermectin for a patient, with informed consent (she was vaccinated), I received 5 letters threatening my medical license, my hospital privileges, and my insurance contracts. I would not have received 5 letters if I killed someone in negligence or malpractice. If I have my license pulled, I will no longer be able to help my patients. I speak to patients on a one-on-one basis, but speaking out would destroy my family.

NEW YORK — Payment processor Visa Inc. said Saturday that it plans to start separately categorizing sales at gun shops, a major win for gun control advocates who say it will help better track suspicious surges of gun sales that could be a prelude to a mass shooting. But the decision by Visa, the world’s largest payment processor, will likely provoke the ire of gun rights advocates and gun lobbyists, who have argued that categorizing gun sales would unfairly flag an industry when most sales do not lead to mass shootings. It joins Mastercard and American Express, which also said they plan to move forward with categorizing gun shop sales.

CBS News has a big scoop this afternoon. The industry group that sets international standards for credit card companies has decided to create a new code for the purchase of guns and ammo that, while not identifying the exact purchases, will separate those items from the more generic category they had been lumped in with previously. Merchant category codes are made up of four digits and are used across all sorts of industries as a means to classify retailers, while not revealing individual product purchases. Credit card companies currently lump firearm retailers in with other outlets, classifying them as either “5999: Miscellaneous retail stores” or “5941: Sporting Goods Stores.”

In between, he provoked a civil war and erased the notion of an all-powerful monarchy—or indeed, of any monarchy at all for the 11 years after his beheading outside Banqueting House in London.
