Trump weighs delaying 2024 decision as
political and legal troubles grow

Donald Trump is considering waiting until after the November midterms to launch a third presidential campaign as he navigates a widening array of legal troubles and mounting concerns that some of his hand-picked Senate candidates may be weaker than he once thought, sources familiar with his thinking tell CNN. After months of eyeing Labor Day weekend as the target launch date for a 2024 campaign, Trump has spent the past few weeks backing away from that timeline following the FBI search of his Mar-a-Lago estate and an increased panic among Republicans that the party may not be in for the red wave it has long anticipated this November. While his timeline

So what? The election is not for two years. Shut up, CNN, and sweep around your own front door. We get it. Your marching orders are to declare that the country loves democrats and want more destruction and poverty. The dems are going to win (cheat their way to) in landslides. Americans have a love affair with becoming a poophole nation. We get it!

They are doing everything they can to stop him from running. We are in trouble folks. The Swamp is very close to totally controlling our country. Back to paper ballots everywhere and not mail in. If for over 200 years people could get themselves to the polls and vote in ONE DAY, they can do the same here. Most states also have early voting at the pools so no excuses.

Yeah, if Trump had run for congress this November, he could have been made Speaker of the house. Then, after Biden and Harris were impeached and kicked out for being lying, cheating creeps, he would have become President instead of Pelosi. But that would have required that the Republican party not be dominated by devious, deep state snakes like McKarthy and McConnell .

Like millions of others, I scratched my head over what the Democrats were trying to achieve with their Nuremberg-themed show last night. But then I realized it is not a coincidence that observers labeled Biden’s speech “dark” or that the stage was literally dark. Last night’s speech was a continuation of the “Dark Brandon” campaign that I wrote about in Dork Brandon. The Democrats have tried to claim the “Brandon” joke as their own. The White House literally has dubbed Joe Biden “Dark Brandon” and put out images of Biden as a superhero (or maybe super dictator). In that campaign, like last night, there were echoes of the German Political

Facebook just keeps finding new ways to be awful. The latest stunt is to jump into the comments section of your posts to insert some approved agitprop that stays near the top of your feed. This particular “fact” check concerns an estimate from a car dealership showing that a customer would be charged nearly $30,000 for an EV battery for his Chevy Volt. A Facebook page called Car Coach Reports, which focuses on auto news, posted a picture of the invoice on August 29. Two days later, PolitiFact waded into the comments section to add their take on the story—namely that the battery in question was for a 10-year-old vehicle

Vladimir Putin last night sparked a fresh energy war with the West as he kept Europe's gas pipeline closed after the G7 agreed an oil price cap to choke his war chest. Moscow blamed 'oil leaks' in a turbine after announcing the Nord Stream 1 pipeline, which runs to Germany under the Baltic Sea, would not reopen today as planned after three days of maintenance. Sparking fears of fuel prices rising yet further, state energy firm Gazprom said the facility would remain closed indefinitely until the leaks were fixed. The announcement came hours after Chancellor Nadhim Zahawi agreed with the world's richest democracies to try and slash the Kremlin's

I’m pretty surprised to see this today. Just a few days ago I was very critical of the Washington Post for becoming the “goth teen of national newspapers” for its fixation on the death of democracy and today the editorial board has published something criticizing the tone and content of Joe Biden’s speech last night. They editorial opens by saying they agree with the idea democracy is under assault but quickly pivot to why Biden’s speech did a terrible job of addressing those concerns. The difficult, perhaps insurmountable, challenge that Mr. Biden confronted — just eight weeks before midterm elections that will determine the future course of his presidency

The National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) scores for 2022 were released Thursday. The news is devastating. The decline in reading and math scores will not be corrected for years. School closures during the coronavirus pandemic that caused students to stay home and learn online is to blame. During a White House press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre blamed Republicans for school closures. Sadly, I’ve come to expect very little in intelligent discourse coming from the press secretary but this was particularly bad. The pandemic began when a Republican president was in the White House but she blamed Republicans for school closures because none voted for

We now wait to see if any of the fact-checking and social media authorities call out CNN for altering news footage. Here in the aftermath of Joe Biden’s bold, forceful, authoritative, badgering, hectoring, screeching, off-the-rails unPresidential speech on Thursday evening, there are a number of ways to see how poorly received this was. On content alone, this was quite the disturbing delivery, as we watched our president devolve into a hysteric, carping and complaining about Republicans and leveling accusatory hyperbole like we have not seen from the White House prior.

Whenever political leaders lose all political capital due to their misgovernance and have no real issues to base their campaign on, they often resort to focusing on the symbolic — usually referring to "the soul of the nation." This happened before in the U.S., it happened in India, it happened in the U.K. and it happened again in the U.S. This is most typical of the left. Instead of being humble and conceding their mistakes, they attack voters for thinking of voting against them while overlooking the myriad catastrophes they presided over. They often blame their opponents for what they are guilty of — bigotry, violence — and then end with the "soul" plea.

When candidate Joe Biden promised that if elected president he would unite the country, did he think he could do it alienating roughly half the population? Or did he mean he would unite the Democrats and independents against the “MAGA Republicans”? Thursday’s speech clearly indicates what he had in mind was the latter. President Joe Biden’s Thursday evening speech targeting supporters of former President Donald Trump was mocked on social media, with many users poking fun at the stage. The speech, held in Philadelphia, marked continued attacks on supporters of Trump, reiterating earlier attacks in which he claimed Republicans embraced “semi-fascism” at an Aug. 25 fundraiser for the Democratic National Committee in Maryland, and also attacked “MAGA Republicans” during a Tuesday speech in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Biden called “MAGA Republicans” a threat to democracy and doubled down on his rhetoric calling supporters of former President Donald trump “extremists.” WMAL talk show host Larry O’Connor threw the epithet Biden directed at Republicans back at the president.

Back in the 90s, at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal, the establishment media hammered home the proposition that the individual character of a chief executive didn’t matter. He could be a cheerful rogue and serial philanderer like Bill Clinton, but the Left insisted that was a private matter and that the only thing Americans should care about was that he was a competent and capable president (which he wasn’t, but that’s another story). These assertions have become the conventional wisdom since then, but Old Joe Biden is now putting them to the test. On Tuesday, Fox News’ Lisa Boothe enunciated a simple truth that shows

In particular, the message focused on issues with the secure handling of sources and apparent errors made by CIA case officers that had led to the compromise of their sources. If true, this news ought to alarm every American, and drastic, corrective action ought to be taken immediately. CIA is taking a lot of hits these days. It should. Its leadership has gone dangerously astray and gotten involved in domestic political matters which should never be the province of a foreign intelligence organization.
