Demonstrating a tone-deafness of Olympian proportions, Pence had harsh words for the Republicans who are appalled at how the FBI has become a tool of the partisan vendetta of Old Joe Biden and Merrick Garland against Donald Trump. In Pence’s world, the stout-hearted G-Men are still of unquestionable integrity, square-jawed, patriotic, non-partisan, and ever-vigilant for truth, justice, and the American way.

A new group called Climate Intelligence (Clintel for short) has been founded in the Netherlands with the express purpose of combatting the extremism of the climate change campaigners. New CNN chairman and CEO Chris Licht is not to be envied. He has taken over a cable news network that is bleeding profits and viewers with little prospect of improvement anytime soon.
Licht discovered, to his horror, that the network was massively dependent on Donald Trump for ratings. Without Trump to headline CNN’s news coverage, no one was very much interested in the biased commentary and left-wing slant to the news that became CNN’s hallmark.
CNN’s profits are expected to fall below $1 billion for the first time in many years. And its prime-time coverage is drawing less than 700,000 viewers a night. Clearly, Licht had to do something.

California is set to roll out its long-awaited ban on new gasoline cars on Thursday, which is part of its rule to have all new cars sold by 2035 to be electric only in an effort to fight climate change.
