Elon Musk’s private jet flew from San Jose to San Francisco — a 35-mile flight that lasted a total of nine minutes, according to Twitter users who track the tech mogul’s movements.
The super-short flight across San Francisco Bay took place on May 6, but Twitter users widely shared the satellite map showing the plane’s flight path over the weekend, with many expressing outrage over the carbon footprint left behind by the head of an electric car company.

Carbon schmarbon. Who cares? It is his jet, his money, and his life. Get over it. We live in a carbon-based world. The world will not come to an end until God brings it to an end, and trust me, the fire and brimstone he will rain down will have a massive carbon footprint.

While I absolutely decry the hypocrisy of the elites, I am inclined to believe the guy who said it was probably “plane repositioning.” There are 3 airports in the SF Bay Area within close proximity of each other (SF, San Jose and Oakland) and the SF airport is by far the busiest of the 3. I can seeing storing planes at another nearby airport.
Oh - I take exception to the “40 minute drive” between SF and San Jose airports. Ha - only on a quiet, middle of the day. 101 is an intense drive at the best of times - add commute hours (that now last until 10 or 11 am in the morning and begin about 2 pm in the afternoon) and that drive takes 1 1/2 hours. Or more. I hate Bay Area traffic.

I echo #5. Traffic was much worse before the Wuflu. It is about up to 3/4 of what it was before and that's pretty bad! Elon can have his plane wherever he wants it as long as the fascist tyrants stay out of his way.

He's no different from all of the other fat cats who scream about global warming and those bad fossil fuels. Hunter Biden flew from CA to DC to go on vacation with Traitor Joe and then flew back again to CA while Dr. Jill took a separate jet from SC to DC after their SC vacation. JLow and Ben flew from Paris to GA for their second wedding and then flew to Italy all on private jets. They all do it and tell us not to drive to work in our gas guzzling cars. They are all hypocrites!!!!!

How much carbon footprint would he have left sitting in traffic on the 405?

I suspect all those thousands and thousands of electric cars his company produced cancels out a little nine minute flight.

Yeah, aircraft re-positioning makes sense. But in Elon's case, personal safety is probably a priority. Avoiding middle of the day road traffic would be wise.

I am "outraged" that the schools in our area have put litter boxes in the bathroom for e kids who think they are ca and dogs.
Lunchtime for them should be on the floor with cat or dog food-THAT may wake up these idiot kids. You want the janitors to empty litter boxes then really BE the animal and act like one too (ALWAYS).
Actually this is all a game and they are an animal when it suits them. How dumb are we to let them do this?

Zzzzzz…
First off, words matter. We have let liberals control labels on things, and “carbon footprint“ should be eliminated. We are carbon based life. Carbon is not a poison. Carbon dioxide is not a poison, plants need it to live, and then plants release oxygen which we need to breathe. Airplanes, cars, trucks, trains, buses, do not leave a “carbon footprint.” The world is not ending, we are not making the world uninhabitable for human life.

"Organic" is a favorite word for the left of center. Organic is good, says the left. Organic compounds contain carbon and hydrogen, like oil, gas, and jet fuel, all hydrocarbons. Organic compounds essential for human life include carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and nucleotides, all hydrocarbons, like oil, gas, and jet fuel. Musk was contributing the propagation of human life. Follow the science.

Yet the same outraged clowns have zero problem for our presidential Jotard taking AFI to Delaware every other weekend. The latest him going on vacation to SC and now the beforementioned DE again. Musk has more money than Bezos, Gates, Buffett and Zuckerberg. I'm sure he can afford it instead of sucking off of the taxpayers.

Musk should have done a number of low passes over Twitter headquarters just to spread the carbon emissions around these wieners.

40 minute drive at 2am. Maybe. It's close but likely longer. During the day? Any day? Not a chance.

Didn’t hear any outrage over the flights of Spielberg, Gore, Kerry, and other elitists. What’s the big deal - Biden has gone to Delaware & camp David how many times using our money not his. Elon can do what he wants. Stick it!
