Kinzinger: Pastors Failing, Christians
Equating Trump to Jesus

Original Article

Posted By: Imright, 8/17/2022 12:29:32 PM

Representative Adam Kinzinger (R-IL) said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Alex Wagner Tonight” that he believed pastors in America are failing their congregations because many Christians are equating former President Donald Trump to Jesus. Kinzinger said, “I’ve come to believe over the last year that people, more than even fearing death, we’re such a tribalistic people that they fear being kicked out of their tribe. So, you accept anything because now Republicanism, conservatism, Trumpism becomes your identity, and so, you’re going to stay.” He continued, “I’m going to say this as a Christian myself, the pastors, many pastors in this country are failing their congregations.

Conservatives form tribes only to do battle with tribal liberalism, for some tribalism is ingrained. Conservatives are much freer thinkers and less constrained to 'group think'. Just witness the wholesale 'group think' that has done the following to the liberal mind... Men can be women and women can be men Marriage is between any two moving objects Guns just up and kill people Hunter Biden's videos of crack smoking, whore banging escapades are OK Donald Trump's use of the 'p' word should bring capital punishment Joe Biden is mentally fit and sharp as a tack Kamala Harris... The comparison is in the fact that Jesus went after the Swamp in the Temple when the Money Changers were taking advantage of the poor. And When Jesus protested, not once but twice, The Swamp, aka Money Changers had him tortured and killed. The Washington Swamp is attempting to do the same thing with Donald Trump.

What an evil little vermin boy!!!!!!! Heck, nobody, and I do men nobody, that supports Donald Trump thinks of him as anywhere near Jesus!!!! He is a deeply flawed man, and he can be incredibly vindictive against anyone who stabs him in the back. But he is a strong leader that loves our country. His policies stand for the traditional American values that made this the greatest country on Earth (before the lie-berals started tearing it down at record pace). He respects hard work, and doesn't buy into the PC garbage "woke" dystopian world the lie-berals are trying to create. Even though he is a sinner (as are we all), he does believe in God -- which is about 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 times better than all the Demon-Rats who claim to be "devout Christians" but then force the infanticide of abortion on us and force taxpayers to pay for it!!!!! Kinzinger is getting desperate. He hates President Trump, and knows the January 6th committee doesn't have a damn thing to take Trump down. The more desperate and depressed he gets, the more absurd and hate-filled things come from his mouth. It must be hard to be such a pathetic loser!!!!! If I ever found myself as insane and evil as he has devolved into, I would immediately go throw myself in front of a bus!!!!

Whether scurrilous lie or pathetic ignorance this is far beyond the bounds of morality and good judgment. No true Christian would ever put any mortal being on equal footing with Jesus Christ, much less above Him. Speaking of flawed humans - it’s interesting that we are inundated constantly with lists of Donald Trump’s supposed flaws, especially by those with such glaringly obvious flaws that they make Trump look very saintly by comparison. Worse, we have to endure the incessant attempts of people who champion every unscriptural, ungodly concept to present themselves and their ideas as morally superior to the very word of God. Trump supporters don’t view him as an equal to Christ. Most of them just recognize that he has demonstrated his willingness to stand strong for many more of the scriptural principles than his opposition, and they appreciate him for it. The truer comparison of Trump, among humans in scripture, might possibly be King David. He was flawed & he made some mistakes, but it didn’t stop him from trying to do right. Most Americans want a POTUS who is willing to honor their oath of office - "I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States." Donald John Trump has shown that ability beyond any who have served in living memory, and in a shorter period of time under much harsher circumstances regarding help from those who should have been his allies. That is why he is so revered among his supporters, imho.

I'm pretty sure that Jesus was crucified so that those who believe in him shall have everlasting life. As a living God, he didn't have to be crucified; he chose to take on the sins of mankind although he knew that he, in his human body, had to suffer greatly for doing so.

Thank you #25. I was concerned with #16's remark "he can be incredibly vindictive against anyone who stabs him in the back" because I don't see it that way. I wasn't on Trump's train initially in the 2016 campaign. I thought Scott Walker would stay in the game but he wimped out. I liked Ben Carson but that didn't work out either. When it involved Trump's character, he defended himself. As anyone would. That is how I see it. As for Adam Kinzinger, he is probably another one of those individuals who does not read the Bible. Beginning to end. A lot of people who don't read the Bible think of themselves as an authority on the God's Book but really know very little. He truly reveals his ignorance.

Bakderdash! I don't know anyone equating him to Jesus, except keftoids like Kinzinger. Trump is a flawed man like all of us. He doesn't hide his flaws like Libs and Other hypocrites do. But Trump is inspired - as Rush Limbaugh used to say, by God. We dream of America, not as founded, but as is aspired too.

The more that Adam and Liz speak the more you can see how unhinged and desperate they are. They sound like hysterical progressives. I don't consider Trump a "moral" force. He is a force for supporting America as originally conceived and not the progressive, perverted idea of America. The more that people like Kinzinger fight Trump the more you see how they have NO moral grounding. All that matters is THEM. It's nice that most of THEM are being swept out of politics.

The concept of “Trump Derangement Syndrom” may have started as a joke to describe the over-reaction of hatred toward Trump, but after years of people upending good sense and their own principles in order to get at this man, I’m pretty convinced it’s real and that scientists need to study this in the future. I see it every single day and as we drift closer and closer to the 2024 presidential election, I have a feeling we’re going to see it even more and in big ways. Right now, the most popular example of it comes from Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney, who just lost her reelection campaign by 37 points.

A federal judge on Thursday told the Justice Department to prepare a redacted version of the affidavit that undergirded the FBI's raid on Mar-a-Lago – opening the door to more public information on the probe that preceded the move. US Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart, who signed off on search warrant for the August 8 raid, put off a final decision on whether to put out the document, which media outlets and allies of President Donald Trump were seeking following the extraordinary raid. He told the government to come back with proposed redactions,

Two months ago Thursday, President Joe Biden fell off his bicycle, spurring plenty of rude derision online. Isn’t it funny how the folks telling us not to criticize the FBI because it will cause violence have no problem using the same type of heated rhetoric against conservatives? It might be a bit funny – but it is not surprising. This is politics, after all, and progressives are feeling particularly hypocritical at the moment. Enter Edward Luce, associate editor at the Financial Times, who posted a rather braindead tweet about the GOP. He wrote: I’ve covered extremism and violent ideologies around the world over my career. Have never come across a political force more nihilistic, dangerous & contemptible than today’s Republicans. Nothing close.

Abe Lincoln, the country lawyer, was well known in his younger days for defending the criminally accused. He said that every defendant, no matter the circumstances, deserved a defense. Not so much with Liz Cheney. During the over-produced J6 hearings (that had everything save for an ominous soundtrack), there was one glaring and obvious omission. Only one side presented a case. I assure you, I would have won every trial I tried if I was the only person presenting evidence (those are called default hearings). During the J6 hearings, Cheney went whole hog for one side. Mike Pence is currently in New Hampshire entertaining his delusions of grandeur. The former vice president is convinced that he can run as “another way” in 2024, defeating Trump and ushering in a new era of establishment rule. While giving a speech in the Granite State, he lambasted conservatives for daring to criticize the FBI following its raid of Mar-a-Lago, proclaiming the sanctity of the bureau and its rank-and-file members. As my reaction piece noted, it was the surest sign yet that Pence is a man who simply doesn’t know what time it is. Tucker Carlson had the same assessment while speaking to Laura Ingraham on Wednesday evening.

Former President Donald Trump is considering releasing the footage he has of the FBI raiding his home, according to reports. CNN cited anonymous Trump “allies” and people “close to Trump” who encouraged the president to release the footage. Speculation about what Trump will do with the footage of the FBI continues to build. The former president confirmed on social media the FBI demanded all of the security cameras be turned off during the raid, but they did not stay off. “What is that all about?” He asked. “We said no!” The form president’s son Eric Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity on Monday that they would release the footage, “At the right time.”

Democratic consultant and political commentator James Carville said in an interview with The Hill TV that the “majority” of Republican voters are “stupid” and “evil.” Discussing the brand of the Democratic Party, Carville said, “So much of what has happened to my party is we tend to get defined by some over-educated, totally doofus coastal elites that are out trying to write dictionaries or something unrelated to anybody’s life. And that kind of stuff has a tendency to be very sticky, to stick with people. It is not who the party is. They are a very small part of the Democratic Party.” He continued, “These people have the ability to irritate.

It’s abundantly clear that former Vice President Mike Pence is going to run for president in 2024. He’s been putting in the leg work lately, with a scheduled trip to New Hampshire coming up. He’s also positioned himself as a Trump foil in the mid-term GOP primaries, taking a contrary position to the former president in several states, most recently in Arizona. For my part, I think Pence’s pursuit is delusional. There is exactly one person in the GOP who would be palatable to Trump voters if Trump himself weren’t the nominee, and his name is Ron DeSantis.

Today CDC Director Rochelle Walensky released a video to the agency’s 11,000 employees that was sharply critical of CDC’s covid performance: Dr. Rochelle P. Walensky, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, on Wednesday delivered a sweeping rebuke of her agency’s handling of the coronavirus pandemic, saying it had failed to respond quickly enough and needed to be overhauled. “To be frank, we are responsible for some pretty dramatic, pretty public mistakes, from testing to data to communications,” she said in a video distributed to the agency’s roughly 11,000 employees. Dr. Walensky said the C.D.C.’s future depended on whether it could absorb the lessons of the last few years,

Since the outset of the global monkeypox outbreak in May, public health and infectious disease experts have told the public that the virus is largely transmitting through skin-to-skin contact, in particular during sex between men. Now, however, an expanding cadre of experts has come to believe that sex between men itself — both anal as well as oral intercourse — is likely the main driver of global monkeypox transmission. The skin contact that comes with sex, these experts say, is probably much less of a risk factor.
