Repugnant: St. Joan of Arc is rewritten

Is nothing sacred to the left? Suddenly, St. Joan of Arc has been rewritten into a transgender icon, according to wokester elites in the arts, who've decided to culturally expropriate the Catholic saint and national patroness of France for the god of transgenderism on multiple fronts. They've even expropriated from the title of Robert Graves's most famous book, I, Claudius. Instead of being the Maid of Orleans, the Liberator of France, and a great symbol of feminine chastity, beauty, innocence and courage, she's now some creature whose bravery consists of contemplating her genitals and displaying her wokeness in the trendy new definition of heroism.

Comments:

Gross. Hearing voices is no longer about hearing the voices of saints, it's about hearing the voice inside your head commanding you to alter your genitals.

This idiocy has finally hacked off a lot of people, especially the French. It’s also being staged in the iconic Globe Theater which is doubly insulting. These people are just like children seeing how far they can go and what they can get away with.

Transgenderism, LGTBQ+, binarary…whatever are concepts born of a wealthy culture with too much time on its hands and no real challenges in life. In the 1400s, the French had little time for anything else but survival. The English Burgundians were ruthless. I have read several biographies of Joan of Arc, including one in her own words of the account of her trial. Believe me, she had more pressing issues to contemplate than her sexual proclivities. She was a virgin, for crying out loud. Her short hair and soldier’s dress were for practical reasons. The depravity of the left needs to conquer not only their current time in history, but that of the past and the future, as well. It is an endless, psychopathic drive.

Joan of Arc wore her hair short and dressed in male clothing because she was leading men including some who were not chivalrous. One of the men in her company was Gilles de Rais who turned out to be a serial killer. She was not trans, she didn't know the concept. She was a woman, she was a virgin and she was a heroine. Woke ruins everything they touch.

#3 identifies the objective; the destruction of womanhood. The old-time feminists are nowhere to be seen because they were the first assault wave and are safely ensconced in their veterans homes. They brought us acceptance of abortion, no-fault divorce, then got mothers out of the home and into the workforce. Their granddaughters now howl in the street with blood on their crotches while dashing baby dolls against the pavement. Their grandsons dress up in ball gowns with outlandish make-up and teach little boys how to be drag queens. The reason womanhood is attacked by the hedonist Left is because women give life and are to be the spiritual and moral center of the family. We also know the immoral foundation of Marxist thought is Satanic, and Lucifer's first victim was the woman for that very reason. Of course the Marxists, being the Satanists that they truly are, couldn't resist targeting a great virgin saint such at Joan of Arc; a young girl who wore a soldier's outfit/armor. St. Joan is my Baptismal saint, my middle name. I must have read every biography of her. I love Mark Twain's the best. I have prayed to her for guidance and been proud to bear her name, since I learned of her importance in my life when I made my First Holy Communion. The year before the terrible fire at Notre Dame, my sister was in Paris. She emailed one morning that she had lit an all-day candle for my intentions at St. Joan's side altar. She told me its located directly across the nave from the main altar and Tabernacle! With the time difference I spent the whole day in a special closeness with St. Joan. Fellow Catholics will know what I mean. And so, although I am disgusted by this theatrical "production", there is no sacrilege of pagans that can sully the magnificence of any member of the magnificent Communion of Saints. AMDG

Timber Queen has it right. I chose Joan of Arc as my confirmation name and wear a Cross of Lorraine in her memory every time I serve as lector at mass. She's a big deal to me, my guiding saint. This disgusting bid to rewrite Joan as a transgender freak listening to transgender voices in her head, rather than the saint she was hearing external voices of actual saints sounds like the work of the devil to me. Twain was an atheist, but he knew something went down in his research of Joan. He was in love with her, as anyone who knows her story is.

#15 - Thank you my sister Joan and sister lector. From what I remember of St. Joan's trial transcripts, the modern woke literati of the London Globe are just visually presenting the descriptions their English ancestors used while accusing St. Joan of dressing and acting as a man. I've had a little fun today imagining St. Joan in Heaven shaking her head and saying, "Hear we go again. Those English sure are slow learners!" Of one thing we are certain. God is in Heaven and we win.

Many Tijuana residents took shelter Friday evening after burning vehicles appeared throughout the city in what is suspected to be a coordinated act of organized crime. At least 19 vehicles, including both privately-owned and public transport, were ignited in different cities in the state of Baja California, according to local authorities, and in some cases blocked the roadways. Similar vehicle fires were used earlier in the week in the states of Jalisco and Guanajuato to send a cartel message to the Mexican government after the detention of several cartel members in an operation by the Mexican military. It is not clear whether the acts of violence in Tijuana are related.

To understand how deep the corruption is at the Department of Justice, and not just at the top, all one needs to do is compare the treatment of former Clinton National Security Advisor Sandy Berger and former President Donald Trump. Whatever concoction the DOJ serves up to frame Trump, it will not match what Berger actually confessed to doing. In April 2002, former President Bill Clinton designated Berger as his representative to review intelligence documents in advance of the various hearings on 9/11. As a 2007 report by the House Committee on Government Oversight and Reform made clear, Berger did not exactly welcome this assignment.

Is nothing too gross for Trump-hating Democrats? The latest stunt comes from Russian-hoax-writing Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times reporter, Maggie Haberman, according to Axios biggie Mike Allen: Remember our toilet scoop in Axios AM earlier this year? Maggie Haberman's forthcoming book about former President Trump will report that White House residence staff periodically found wads of paper clogging a toilet — and believed the former president, a notorious destroyer of Oval Office documents, was the flusher. Why it matters: Destroying records that should be preserved is potentially illegal. Trump denied it and called Haberman, whose New York Times coverage he follows compulsively, a "maggot."

Democrats got a twofer with the cave-in of Democrat Sen. Kyrsten Sinema on their badly misnamed "Inflation Reduction Act" of 2022, paving the way for the $700 billion bill's passage in Congress -- the joy of taxing, and the joy of spending. Now they are hailing this as some kind of achievement, something that could save their bacon come the November midterms, or else trash the economy enough as Republicans take over to make voters cry out for the Democrats' return. The crowing for this disastrous bill, badly misnamed as the "Inflation Reduction Act," is incredible.

For President Trump, this morning's got to be sweet. His endorsed candidates, one after another, won over other GOP candidates, in Tuesday's primaries. Those coveted endorsements went for congressional seats in Arizona, Michigan, and sort-of Missouri, where it appeared that President Trump endorsed both candidates with the first name 'Eric.' The counting is still on in places like Washington, so it may not have been a full sweep, but it came very, very close. Many of the candidates Trump endorsed were political upstarts, not incumbents, which are harder to win, so the primary victories were all the more impressive.
