Defeated Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney confirmed Wednesday that she is “thinking about” running for the White House to keep her nemesis, former President Donald Trump, “out of the Oval Office.”
“It is something that I am thinking about and I’ll make a decision in the coming months,” the 56-year-old daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney told NBC News’ “Today” show.
“I will be doing whatever it takes to keep Donald Trump out of the Oval Office.”
Cheney insisted the Republican party “has really become a cult of personality” under Trump — who “continues to pose a very grave threat and risk to our republic.”
“I think it’s certainly the most important

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's (D-NY) district saw a 57% increase in major crime under her tenure, a new study found.
The district suffered massive increases in what the New York Police Department considers the seven "major" crimes of murder, rape, robbery, felonious assault, burglary, grand larceny, and grand larceny auto, a study by former NYPD inspector Paul Mauro found. Shootings went up by 47.05%, the study said.
"Let’s just say, with those numbers: Were she a precinct commander, she’d better have some answers for the chief of department," Mauro wrote in an opinion piece. The former inspector dismissed anticipated criticism that the end of coronavirus lockdowns was the culprit for the increase

President Biden on Thursday again urged Congress to pass the $739 billion reconciliation package, vowing that it will "lower" the record-high inflation Americans are facing and cut the deficit as the U.S. grapples with a recession.
"My message to Congress is this: Listen to the American people," Biden said. "This is the strongest bill you can pass to lower inflation, continue to cut the deficit, reduce health care costs, tackle a climate crisis and promote America’s energy security and reduce the burdens facing working-class and middle-class families.
"Pass it. Get it to my desk. Pass it for the American people.

So here we are again. An armed suspect runs from the police only to be pursued, subdued, disarmed, and arrested. In a sane world, the officers would be lauded for their efforts. Alas, the world is far from sane, and few portions of it are farther from sanity than Chicago and its surrounding communities. So, instead of being praised for removing an armed criminal from the streets, the officers find themselves villainized for using what the uninformed or willfully blind perceive as excessive force. The incident was captured on police and bystander cameras, and when the footage hit social media and the television news, it inspired indignation among

A Russian named Aleksandr Viktorovich Ionov has been charged with “orchestrating a years-long foreign malign influence campaign that used various U.S. political groups to sow discord, spread pro-Russian propaganda, and interfere in elections within the United States.” According to a DOJ press release, Ionov was directed by FSB and gained influence with three separate groups in Florida, Georgia and California.
None of those groups were named in the indictment but the identity of the Florida group was revealed after the group’s headquarters was searched by the FBI. The group in question is part of something called the Uhuru Movement which is run by the African People’s Socialist Party.

In what is being hailed as a victory for free speech in Britain, train conductor Simon Isherwood has won a suit for being wrongfully fired from his job over remarks questioning so-called “white privilege”.
Mr Isherwood, who was supported in his case against the West Midlands Trains (WMT) by the Free Speech Union (FSU), had been fired in 2020 for questioning left-wing ideology after being required to take an online diversity course on “white privilege”.
Forgetting to turn off his microphone after completing the course, Isherwood turned to his wife and said:“I couldn’t be arsed because I thought, ‘You know what, I’ll

A poll conducted by University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics shows nearly one-third of American voters believe they may have to take up arms against the United States government.
The poll of 1,000 registered voters was conducted from “May 19 to May 23 among 1,000 registered voters. The margin of error is plus or minus 3.53 percentage points,” The Hill reports.
“Republican pollster Neil Newhouse and Democratic pollster Joel Benenson with input from students at the [Institute of Politics]” conducted the survey.
On July 24, the Hill reported the pollsters found that “twenty-eight percent of all voters, including 37 percent of gun owners, agreed ‘it may be necessary at some point soon

In an interview Monday on The HillTV's Rising, Dr. Anthony Fauci claimed that he "didn't recommend locking anything down" through the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. Fauci is, of course, free to claim what he wants and spin history however he pleases, but he's not entitled to his own facts.
“First of all, I didn’t recommend locking anything down.”

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is calling for the end of private car ownership in the name of saving the world from climate change by reducing the need for green tech resources.
“We need a clean energy revolution, and we need it now,” the WEF begins its article.
According to the WEF, critical metals, such as cobalt, lithium, and nickel — all of which are used in “clean energy technologies” — are in short supply. And while the WEF says recycling old tech that uses these metals could lessen the impact of shortages, it’s simply not enough.
“The complication is that we do not currently have enough metals in in circulation

A Fox News Digital analysis of child sex crime data in school districts around the nation has found a minimum of 181 K-12 educators have been arrested on child-related sex crimes in the first half of 2022.
Among those educators arrested were four principals, 153 teachers, 12 substitute teachers, and 12 teachers’ aides. The crimes ranged from child pornography to rape of students.
“Arrests that weren’t publicized were not counted in the analysis, meaning the true number may well be higher,” Fox News Digital reported.
According to the analysis, at least 77 percent, or 140 of the arrests, constituted alleged crimes against students.
