So here we are again. An armed suspect runs from the police only to be pursued, subdued, disarmed, and arrested. In a sane world, the officers would be lauded for their efforts. Alas, the world is far from sane, and few portions of it are farther from sanity than Chicago and its surrounding communities. So, instead of being praised for removing an armed criminal from the streets, the officers find themselves villainized for using what the uninformed or willfully blind perceive as excessive force. The incident was captured on police and bystander cameras, and when the footage hit social media and the television news, it inspired indignation among

A Russian named Aleksandr Viktorovich Ionov has been charged with “orchestrating a years-long foreign malign influence campaign that used various U.S. political groups to sow discord, spread pro-Russian propaganda, and interfere in elections within the United States.” According to a DOJ press release, Ionov was directed by FSB and gained influence with three separate groups in Florida, Georgia and California.
None of those groups were named in the indictment but the identity of the Florida group was revealed after the group’s headquarters was searched by the FBI. The group in question is part of something called the Uhuru Movement which is run by the African People’s Socialist Party.

In what is being hailed as a victory for free speech in Britain, train conductor Simon Isherwood has won a suit for being wrongfully fired from his job over remarks questioning so-called “white privilege”.
Mr Isherwood, who was supported in his case against the West Midlands Trains (WMT) by the Free Speech Union (FSU), had been fired in 2020 for questioning left-wing ideology after being required to take an online diversity course on “white privilege”.
Forgetting to turn off his microphone after completing the course, Isherwood turned to his wife and said:“I couldn’t be arsed because I thought, ‘You know what, I’ll

A poll conducted by University of Chicago’s Institute of Politics shows nearly one-third of American voters believe they may have to take up arms against the United States government.
The poll of 1,000 registered voters was conducted from “May 19 to May 23 among 1,000 registered voters. The margin of error is plus or minus 3.53 percentage points,” The Hill reports.
“Republican pollster Neil Newhouse and Democratic pollster Joel Benenson with input from students at the [Institute of Politics]” conducted the survey.
On July 24, the Hill reported the pollsters found that “twenty-eight percent of all voters, including 37 percent of gun owners, agreed ‘it may be necessary at some point soon

In an interview Monday on The HillTV's Rising, Dr. Anthony Fauci claimed that he "didn't recommend locking anything down" through the course of the COVID-19 pandemic. Fauci is, of course, free to claim what he wants and spin history however he pleases, but he's not entitled to his own facts.
“First of all, I didn’t recommend locking anything down.”

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is calling for the end of private car ownership in the name of saving the world from climate change by reducing the need for green tech resources.
“We need a clean energy revolution, and we need it now,” the WEF begins its article.
According to the WEF, critical metals, such as cobalt, lithium, and nickel — all of which are used in “clean energy technologies” — are in short supply. And while the WEF says recycling old tech that uses these metals could lessen the impact of shortages, it’s simply not enough.
“The complication is that we do not currently have enough metals in in circulation

A Fox News Digital analysis of child sex crime data in school districts around the nation has found a minimum of 181 K-12 educators have been arrested on child-related sex crimes in the first half of 2022.
Among those educators arrested were four principals, 153 teachers, 12 substitute teachers, and 12 teachers’ aides. The crimes ranged from child pornography to rape of students.
“Arrests that weren’t publicized were not counted in the analysis, meaning the true number may well be higher,” Fox News Digital reported.
According to the analysis, at least 77 percent, or 140 of the arrests, constituted alleged crimes against students.

Happy Friday, dear Kruiser Morning Briefing friends. Even the hardest of hearts were moved by Garrett’s touching interpretation of “No Diggity” on the accordion. The buzz around conservative circles for weeks has been about just when and how the Democrats would start ramping up the COVID panic porn in order to lay the groundwork for a sequel to 2020’s election “irregularities.” Who knew that the guy at the top would kick things into high gear? In this era of casual conspiracy theories, it’s not difficult to imagine that the Democrats have been doing everything but making Biden lick doorknobs and kiss hobos to get some pre-election Bat Flu.CORRECTION*

When Mary Kay Letourneau was arrested in1997 for rape, it became a national sensation. Not only did she rape her student, she became pregnant and later had the child. Vili Fualaau, the underage father, was 12. The trial resulted in her conviction and she went to prison for seven-and-a-half years.Sure, the fact that she became pregnant was a big part of the story, but in 1997, teachers getting busted for raping/molesting students was unusual news. In 2022, it no longer hits legacy news; because it happens so often, it no longer titillates. But there is another reason; it impacts the left’s insistence that teachers foisting their their sexual predilection

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) is warning conservatives, constitutionalists, and Second Amendment advocates that Democrats are coming for our gun rights and they will do it unconstitutionally.
“Now, this is just it. They want you to get used to having less. The left also wants you to feel less safe while doing so,” Fox News host Laura Ingraham said.
“Now, what do I mean? Well, the same week we got that new bodycam footage revealing Uvalde cops to be total incompetent cowards… in the same week a good guy with a gun saved untold lives in Indiana, House Judiciary Democrats are actually beginning a markup on a new assault

A crew member working for “Law & Order: Organized Crime’’ was fatally gunned down at the TV show’s Brooklyn set early Tuesday — in a shooting that could have been pulled straight out of the script, authorities said.
The victim, a 31-year-old married dad of three, was sitting in the driver’s seat of a vehicle on N Henry Street near Norman Avenue in Greenpoint around 5:15 a.m. when another man suddenly opened the driver’s side door and blasted him, officials said.
“It was crazy,’’ said a distraught colleague of the victim, who worked for NBC parking vehicles at the show’s sets in the wee hours

Pulse-pounding video shows the moment a trio of Florida home invaders frantically reverse course after a resident blasts at them with a gun.
The footage from the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office shows the men gathering and chatting in front of the residence on July 7 before one of them opens the door and shoves the homeowner inside.
Two of the suspects barge in while a third can be seen standing guard outside with what appears to be a firearm.
Deputies said the homeowner dropped a gun he was holding while trying to fend off the attack and that the pistol was picked up by one of the intruders.
