Today Russia announced a bunch of new problems it was allegedly having with the Germany-made machines that pump natural gas through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline. Delivery of a Nord Stream 1 gas turbine to Germany from Canada after maintenance was not in line with the contract, Gazprom’s senior manager said on Friday, stepping up criticism of manufacturer Siemens Energy. Vitaly Markelov, Gazprom’s deputy chief executive, also said Russia had complained repeatedly to Siemens Energy about problems with other turbines. “We have repeatedly applied to the Russian representative office of Siemens about this, sent 10 letters.

How does the government turn down someone's thermostat? I hope a lot of them have fireplaces and I've learned, after moving to cold OK in the winter, that tea candles can take the chill out of a room. Not a big room but they have worked great here. So I've stocked up on them. Hope they have them in Germany.

Reality is a b-word. I cannot believe seemingly intelligent people can be bamboozled by this green lie. I thought Germans were smarter than this and we’re common sense, no nonsense types. Anyone who honestly thinks about the bull hockey the elites are trying to shove down our throats realizes that their plan just will not work as promised. Why would you buy into a such an obvious boondoggle? Is there no voice of reason in these countries that are so eager to hamstring their country to the point of freezing their people to death? This is insane. These globalist elites are abject fools. It doesn’t take an Einstein to understand that the world runs on fossil fuels. We should be taking advantage of that reality until such time as the green alternatives are able to actually produce the energy we need. There are some very sick and disturbed people in this world who are willing to accept the deaths of millions of people in order to embrace these unreliable energy sources. Remember the story of the Emperor’s New Clothes? It’s been updated, the proponents of this green agenda have no apparatus to deliver sufficient energy. The green energy agenda the elites all worship is a lie. It is a failure of mammoth proportions and innocent people are going to suffer and die because of it.

I grew up for a while in Germany, post war and for a couple years into the 70's. They are a very resilient people. We used to give our landlady our combustible trash, which she would burn for heat to save on oil. They then collected the ashes and put them under car tires in the winter for traction. The older houses still had fireplaces. They will do this for a while, and then elect another fuhrer who will promise to fix it.

The easiest and cheapest energy to move is natural gas why is this complicate. I was in charge of selling gas to the energy company all you do is dry the gas, boost it with a compressor for pipeline pressure (1,000#) and send it along so what's the problem? Acting like this is some secret complicated disaster in the transmission this is all 'hoodo' scare tactics Putin is teasing Europe with. They made the deal with the devil here's the results.

You might have noticed in the last couple of weeks that there’s been a concerted effort to portray the political landscape in the best possible light for Democrats. Things really aren’t that bad. Or are they? It’s a mirage, as Washington Examiner’s David Drucker tweeted last week. It’s little more than wishful thinking to say that Democrats’ chances of staving off disaster in November are improving — except among the political class. There, it’s becoming the gospel. Gas prices are falling! Abortion! Abortion! GOP Senate candidates are weak and/or in trouble! Democrats are outraising Republicans by a wide margin! And don’t forget the January 6 hearings! This presents a challenge for Democrats, who are hoping abortion will be a winning issue for them going into midterms, according to The Washington Post. Speaking to the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington D.C., the former top bureaucrat at the Ministry of Defence argued that the West “face[s] a much broader range of strategic risks and pathways to escalation” than during the Cold War, not least because, during that long-simmering conflict, the Soviet Union and its satellites reached something of a “shared understanding of doctrine” which made the threat of nuclear conflict more manageable — some notable flirtations with destruction notwithstanding.

A group of Leftists activists are calling on Justice Clarence Thomas to resign or be impeached from the Supreme Court. [Tweet] MoveOn along with Demand Justice, both Leftist activist organizations, started a petition and called on Thomas to either resign or be impeached because after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade they fear that SCOTUS will next overturn “gay rights and contraception rights,” according to MoveOn. MoveOn also stated on its site that “Thomas voted against a Supreme Court decision to compel the release of Donald Trump’s records regarding the January 6 insurrection and attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election,”

Hershey Co (HSY.N)said on Thursday it would fall short of meeting demand for the all-important Halloween and Christmas holiday seasons this year, blaming a scarcity of raw ingredients and difficulties in securing suppliers. Pandemic-induced global supply chain disruptions and the Russia-Ukraine war have crunched supplies of cocoa, edible oil and other food ingredients, pinching production lines of packaged food companies around the world. Hershey Chief Executive Officer Michele Buck said those issues, along with the company's focus on meeting demand during non-holiday periods, would lead to a likely shortage during Halloween, but added that sales will still top last year.

With mail-in ballots becoming a feature of all future elections, the United States government, specifically the United States Postal Service (USPS) is now creating a permanent division inside USPS to control the delivery and return of the election ballots. Do you know the political affiliation of your mail courier? As often said, it’s not the vote that matters, it’s the counting….or in this instance, the collection of the votes that really matters.(Snip)Keep in mind the union representing 300,000 U.S. postal workers previously endorsed Democrat Joe Biden for president. The National Association of Letter Carriers, is a fully compromised left-wing division of the USPS.

The U.S. government has reached a new deal with Moderna for 65 million additional COVID-19 vaccine doses, the Biden administration announced on July 29. The deal is valued at $1.7 billion. Moderna will sell doses of its vaccine that target Omicron subvariants, according to the agencies that announced the agreement. The actual contract has not yet been made public. Moderna and other vaccine makers have been updating their COVID-19 vaccine formulations because the vaccines are based on the Wuhan strain, which has not been prevalent since 2020. The vaccines have proven increasingly worse at protecting recipients as newer variants emerge.

MSNBC contributor Donny Deutsch said Friday on MSNBC’s  “Deadline” that to win the majorities in November, Democrats have to “scare the hell out of people” by saying Republicans are “crazy fascists.” Anchor Nicolle Wallace said, “There’s a direct line between the ideology and the current Homeland Security issued warning of an uptick in threats of domestic violent extremism. It’s around the grievances over the election, and I think in Pennsylvania, you’ve seen some of the extremist groups marching openly in broad daylight on the streets. I don’t know that anybody, except the militia groups themselves, wants to live in that country. How do you, in your view,

The nationwide baby formula shortage has worsened with 70 percent of all brands reported out-of-stock, despite President Joe Biden's efforts to make infant milk more accessible. Families in Rhode Island and Vermont have been hardest hit by the shortage with out-of-stock rates at 79 percent and 78 percent, respectively. Biden and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have made it easier for foreign manufacturers to get shipments into the country, and appealed to companies such as Nestle and Reckitt to step up production. French consumer goods company Danone on Wednesday said it had shipped more than 750,000 cans of its flagship Aptamil baby formula to the U.S. from Europe,
