Today Russia announced a bunch of new problems it was allegedly having with the Germany-made machines that pump natural gas through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline.
Delivery of a Nord Stream 1 gas turbine to Germany from Canada after maintenance was not in line with the contract, Gazprom’s senior manager said on Friday, stepping up criticism of manufacturer Siemens Energy.
Vitaly Markelov, Gazprom’s deputy chief executive, also said Russia had complained repeatedly to Siemens Energy about problems with other turbines.
“We have repeatedly applied to the Russian representative office of Siemens about this, sent 10 letters.

Well, Ms. Merkel I guess payback is a butch. President Trump should hire a plane to pull a banner that reads " I told you so, DJT" in both English and German.

The day the Germans decided to shut their nuclear power plants down was the day they declared that the French were better engineers. The French get 78% of their electricity from nuclear power.

This is ridiculous. Everyone knows that energy from the wind and sun are abundant and free for the taking.

Except when they aren't, which is a lot of the time. And they aren't being stored.

How does the government turn down someone's thermostat? I hope a lot of them have fireplaces and I've learned, after moving to cold OK in the winter, that tea candles can take the chill out of a room. Not a big room but they have worked great here. So I've stocked up on them. Hope they have them in Germany.

Reality is a b-word. I cannot believe seemingly intelligent people can be bamboozled by this green lie. I thought Germans were smarter than this and we’re common sense, no nonsense types. Anyone who honestly thinks about the bull hockey the elites are trying to shove down our throats realizes that their plan just will not work as promised. Why would you buy into a such an obvious boondoggle? Is there no voice of reason in these countries that are so eager to hamstring their country to the point of freezing their people to death? This is insane. These globalist elites are abject fools. It doesn’t take an Einstein to understand that the world runs on fossil fuels. We should be taking advantage of that reality until such time as the green alternatives are able to actually produce the energy we need. There are some very sick and disturbed people in this world who are willing to accept the deaths of millions of people in order to embrace these unreliable energy sources. Remember the story of the Emperor’s New Clothes? It’s been updated, the proponents of this green agenda have no apparatus to deliver sufficient energy. The green energy agenda the elites all worship is a lie. It is a failure of mammoth proportions and innocent people are going to suffer and die because of it.

I grew up for a while in Germany, post war and for a couple years into the 70's. They are a very resilient people. We used to give our landlady our combustible trash, which she would burn for heat to save on oil. They then collected the ashes and put them under car tires in the winter for traction. The older houses still had fireplaces. They will do this for a while, and then elect another fuhrer who will promise to fix it.

Shutting breweries... something only a Muslim would love.
When i was last in Germany a couple of years ago, it was completely unrecognizable from decades earlier. The number of Turkish and African inhabitants, as well as other nationalities, have gotten so bad that the German culture is all but gone. The Germans were far better off from the Cold War than after, so who really won?

I forgot to add to my previous post that the number of wind turbines dotting the horizon from Frankfurt to Hamburg were hideous and were a blight upon their once beautiful landscape. I was shocked that Germans would agree to erecting those Leviathans of the Land... and THEY DON'T HELP!

Well Fritz you can die freezing in the dark knowing you did your part saving the planet for no one to live on.
Germany followed the advice of 'science expert' Greta now what do you do.
The easiest and cheapest energy to move is natural gas why is this complicate. I was in charge of selling gas to the energy company all you do is dry the gas, boost it with a compressor for pipeline pressure (1,000#) and send it along so what's the problem? Acting like this is some secret complicated disaster in the transmission this is all 'hoodo' scare tactics Putin is teasing Europe with. They made the deal with the devil here's the results.

And once again President Trump was right...he told Merkel that she shouldn't attach her country to the pipeline...and she didn't listen...now...did she do it on purpose to bring Germany to it's knees...or was she just that stupid....what "special pay out from the Russian 'big guy' did she get"...she screwed up immigration with all the Middle East refugees to Germany and now WE see the damage she's done to her people with winter looming around the corner...guess Russia has a bargaining tool...wonder what they want...

Let's hear a cheer for our team! Rah! RAH!!
The Germans are heroically taking one for the NATO team and Ukrainian "freedom". At least they're not clearing rubble from the streets. But, what about all those windmills and other sources of sustainable energy that the government there has been pushing since the 1980s? Remember the stickers from back then: "Steinheit? Nein Danke!!"? Well, they're inching closer. Send them a few shiploads of Milwaukee's Best to tide them over.

Wherever you look across the globe, POLITICIANS are mostly to blame for our problems … Remember Venezuela? … and some politicians are lawyers. These greedy promise-breakers cause more trouble than they solve. But the People NEVER LEARN because these clowns often offer the people “something for nothing.”
