In this episode of “You Can’t Make This Stuff up Because Left-Wing Loons Already Did”...
Given the left’s hellbent drive to label virtually everything in — and about —America as “racist,” this nutjob story should come as no surprise to anyone. Lemme rephrase that: This nutjob story comes as zero surprise to anyone who hasn’t had their head in the (white) sand since the reign of Barack Obama.
Even “better,” today’s left-wing radicals make Obama look like a piker in the race-hustling industry.
Case in point, my fellow Americans: some of the names we give our dogs are racist. Who knew?

Yeah, wouldn't name my dog "De'Ronte", let alone a child. But some folks do.

I met one black dog named “you-know-what” in my fifties childhood. If there’s a clear case of racist dog naming, there you go!

I read somewhere that you should name your dog with a one syllable name...easier for them to understand...that rules out...er....you know........

Our first bird was named 'Bingbird', our second ' Jellybean' - When folks visit us, J.B. flies right to them for kisses, no matter what their skin color is.

When I was a very young child, in the 50s, we had rural relatives with a shepherd mix named "n....r". While visiting them, some were taking a train to a wedding and I wanted to go too. But an elderly relative said I shouldn't because there were "n.....s" on the train and all I could imagine were a bunch of dogs sitting in the seats. I grew up in Chicago but had no other reference for the "hated" term other than the dog. Ah, the innocence of youth.

Since I live in a condo, cats are the preferred pets. (Dogs can be a problem in this setting.) In my forty years of living in Florida I've had four cats, a tabby and three black cats. Names were Mongo (brown tiger tabby, 1981-1995)), Leo (black MaineCoon, 1995-2005), Nemo (domestic shorthair, black (2005-2019) and Nemo's identical brother Nitro (born 2005, sleeping beside me now).
To the headcases on the political Left, everything is racist now, to the point where the word is meaningless. When I was growing up, we damn well knew what racism was, and it was not acceptable to decent, moral people. Racism is ugly. What's uglier is accusing people who aren't racists of being that. Obsession with race is racist itself. I never regarded myself as "white." Only as human. God looks at the inside, not the covering. That's how we should be, too.

We had a pit/boxer mix who was the sweetest dog we’ve ever had. Her name was Mocha because she was the color of a mocha latte. No doubt, naming a dog based on its color is racist. Shame on us.

I have never named a dog LaShawn or Desidarius and have never wanted to but in 1967 I named a black puppy Blackie and have been remorseful ever since. Please forgive me, I was just a child.

#13's reply reminded me that when growing up in suburban Nashville, I also had a beloved black dog named Blackie. I think I named my dog Blackie (when I was about 6) because he was black. He was a good dog. Was there anything wrong with that?

My next door neighbor who's a white man is a retired Navy Master Chief Machinist Mate (MMCM) has a Blood Hound named Rufus. I have a black cat named Ebony. I guess to all of the racist idiot Biden supporting left all of those names are racist? Give me a break.

Knew someone with a dog named Duke. Today they would be accused of being pro-KKK.

I was shocked when a new neighbor called to his dog and it was my late husband's name - Walter. I've gotten used to it. Walter is a big pointer type dog who will come over and touch noses with my little Chihuahua Sofie. He's a real sweetheart just like my Walter was.

No lying. In my youth, a white trash family down the street from me had a little black dog named "Ni&&@r". Now, that is racist.
