The nine members of The Late Show staff arrested for 'unlawfully' entering the Capitol last month will not be prosecuted, the Department of Justice has ruled. The Capitol Police released a statement Monday night in an update on the incident involving members associated with Stephen Colbert's talk show on June 16. The U.S. Attorney's office then confirmed they would not be moving forward with the case because they 'wouldn't have been able to secure convictions', according to a statement obtained by Axios.

Comments:

Anyone surprised? If there's no prosecution for running amok among Capitol Building offices instead of remaining with staff escort - I'm next!

They know they can’t get convictions for the J6 “insurrectionists,” so they’re kept in confinement until further notice. If the Colbert gang were given equal treatment, they also would be in confinement the same way.

They could get convictions if they put the full force of the US government behind it, starting with threatening to destroy the individuals’ livelihoods and families. Send 100 armed men to arrest the individuals’ wives at 5:00 am, for example.

" ... will not be prosecuted. " Nothing new here ... for the people who looted, murdered, burned down cities' businesses, pulled down statues, and demonstrated in front of SCOTUS residences (breaking the law). WHY? That's simple, peon, the LAWS are for THEE but not for ME. How many Americans could be SHOT if PATRIOTS with torches and pitchforks marched on DC? Pelosi would order the DC police into action to "protect Democracy." Schiff would command yet another faux investigation, shifting the blame for ANY protest onto TRUMP! Maybe they'll even get Epps back into action! For now, the Commies are still in charge ... if they remain in charge after November, kiss America goodbye.

The people most responsible for this are the cross the aisles RINO's like Susan Collins, John McCain, Mitch McConnel, Mitt Romney types. They fritter away any advantages and play nice. Well the Dems don't play nice and just beat the poop out of them. Well we have the RINO's we deserve, by all that is holy, who are the morons that vote for those people. God Bless Donald Trump. One thing I know for sure, if those folks can hold out until after the midterms happen, the smart thing for the GOP to do would be to immediately order the release of those people. Then pay them big time, because if they do not, I am hoping a civil suit of epic proportions hits the Swamp hard enough to leave a mark.

I'm hearing lots of commercials for Dick Morris's new book in which he claims that Trump has a secret plan to clean all this up. I sure hope that's true, but then again - as the 2022 election loomed and there was almost certainty that it would be fraudulent, I had hoped at that time also, that Trump had a plan to deal with it --- but Nope. My Christianity tells me not to put trust in man, but to trust in God. Guilty as charged.
