Two men were killed and three others were wounded when a gunman opened fire in Chicago’s Loop early Friday, police said.
The group of five men had left a downtown business and were in an argument with the unknown gunman when he pulled out a handgun and began firing shots, according to an online notification from the Chicago Police Department.
Police said the shooting happened at 1:44 a.m. The Cook County medical examiner’s office listed the location of the shooting that left the two men dead as 425 S. Wells St.

A teenage girl lost her leg after being attacked by a shark while she was scalloping in five-foot deep water and was saved by a family member who jumped in and beat the animal off her.
The 15-year-old, whose has not been identified, was attacked near Grassy Island, off Keaton Beach in Taylor County.
Her injuries were so severe she had to be airlifted to a hospital in Tallahassee, about 80 miles northwest of Keaton Beach, the sheriff's office said.
She had surgery and is expected to survive, Taylor County Sheriff Wayne Padgett told CBS News.

A Trump aide testified that the president tried to grab the steering wheel of the presidential limo so he could go to the Capitol on January 6, 2021. After the aide’s testimony, Representative Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) embraced her, as though expressing solidarity with someone who has just been through a tremendous ordeal. You could say that Washington and Hollywood have finally converged, turning into a single giant Oscars ceremony that no one is watching.

A group of pro-abortion protesters gathered outside conservative Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett’s Virginia home Thursday evening, chanting expletives and waving signs reading “Liar.”
Roughly 20 people were seen marching outside the judge’s Falls Church home, crying “F— you, Barrett.”
The angry crowd also clutched signs reading, “Keep your rosaries off my ovaries,” “Reproductive Rights are Human Rights,” “Impeach Expand Codify,” and “Liar” with a photo of Barrett printed underneath.
