FROMBERG — As Fromberg residents worked to clear the muck and river water from their homes Thursday, a FEMA spokesperson said people should manage their expectations about federal aid. “If you’re waiting for the federal government or somebody else to help you that help may or may not come, and I’m not sure when it will come,” FEMA spokesperson Leo Skinner said Thursday in Stillwater County. “So I always tell people, this is a tough line to tell people, ‘Take responsibility for your own disaster recovery.’” On Thursday, Gov. Greg Gianforte requested President Joe Biden activate the FEMA Individual Assistance

A conservative state, populated mostly by white folks.....gets the middle finger from FEMA. Meanwhile, in other, leftist and not-so-white states, things are very different.

They have no problem throwing money at Puerto Rico where they pay no Federal taxes but they don't have money for tax paying state siders, This is just great. Montana go on a tax strike.

Montana not a hot destination for minority illegals or state could claim aid needed for them. Dang FEMA has plenty of money to pour into the trash from all over the world pouring across the TX and AZ border with MX. Taxpayers paying nonstop for all their health care too.

a Thousand headlines calling it a once in 1000year disaster...FEMA sez..."uhm, not so fast".
Note as well...much of the damage was from outflow from Federal lands, carrying thousands of downed trees, causing worse flooding, tearing out bridges, wiping out fences, while Federal Regulatory agencies had stopped any local residents, govts and citizens from streambank improvements, impoundments, flood control projects

Biden just pledged 200 billion to build "vaccine" plants----for the world. Biden, we will take responsibility for our own health.

Watch what happens the next California mess or the northeast. Nothing against those people as individuals, but the feds sure do seem to be willing to help.

They are a Red State, no wonder!
But when the rare hurricane floods the NYC subways, as it did a couple of years ago, FEMA is on the spot with their checkbook open.

Sorry to say but us folks on the gulf coast are reminded of FEMA's total incompetence each and every hurricane season. They learn nothing from previous events, usually are the last to arrive and bring the most red rape. Doesn't matter who's president - FEMA never changes.

My experience with FEMA, after being hit by a hurricane in Florida in August 2004, is that if you have insurance, the only thing FEMA wants is your information for their records, I guess. I do, however, wonder why it is the taxpayers' responsibility to cover damages in most disasters. Really, that is why you have homeowner's insurance. So we really don't need FEMA.

Biden: "Any of those Montanians vote for me?"
FEMA: "Not many."
Biden: "Screw them. ."I told them to stop drilling and they ignored me."

Well, since fema’s primary existence is for disaster relief then we should just get rid of them. They are wasting money by not doing their job. We could get rid of the department of education too. Quality education in this country has been going down hill since the doe was created in the early 70s. Note: I use lower case on purpose.

FEMA's maps say there are not in a flood zone so flood insurance would not be needed. So FEMA won't provide even 2 ¢ of assistance.
