Trump corrects record, says he hasn't
endorsed McCarthy for speaker

Former President Donald Trump made it clear that he has not endorsed anyone, including Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), for speaker of the House. Toward the end of a recent interview, Trump interjected to correct conservative talk show host Wayne Allyn Root after he said Trump endorsed McCarthy for speaker. "No, I haven't," Trump said. "No, no, no. I haven't," he added through some cross-talk. "No, I endorsed him in his race. But I haven't endorsed anybody for speaker." Indeed, Trump endorsed McCarthy in his reelection bid in California's 20th Congressional District just two weeks ago.

That’s an improvement and it on the record. Probably no one else that could win in that CA district.

I like the idea of Trump as speaker. Just consider a vibrant Trump meeting the MSM with articulate observations and a conservative dynamism lacking in many house RINOs. Two years and off to the presidency with Di Santis as vice president. Could such a heaven-on-earth happen. Lets all dream.

Hmmm. Who do I want to be in charge of the Capitol police? Originating any budgeting bills? Initiating any impeachment votes? Sitting behind FJB during the State of the Union Speech? third in line to be potus? Passive aggressively orchestrating a 'squad' meltdown? Challenging the weak McConnell? Swatting down any bill that doesn't comply with the 10th Amendment? Overseeing the federal budget and eliminating useless people.

I will guarantee you, if Kevin McCarthy is speaker, he will take the house down in flames the same as Paul Ryan and John Boehner. As for Mitch, he had his time as Majority, now is the time for him to go. Rand Paul is a good choice for Majority, but I see Rick Scott (FL) is trying for Mitch's seat. I do not recommend him. He did nothing about the voter crap that was going on in FL, it was DeSantis that did the firing and got it running well. As for the House, I would LOVE to see Trump as Speaker; Jim Jordan as the Republican House Whip.

I agree with #4. Jim Jordan and Rand Paul would be a great team. Kevin McCarthy would be a weak, cowardly duplicitous doofus who would be afraid of his own shadow. Mumm-Ra Pelosi would still run things through him. Addison McConnell has also proven to be a duplicitous backstabbing jerk. The day Adam Schiff was named to the “Jan. 6” committee is the day we knew the investigation was going to be a frivolous partisan sideshow. As a political strategy, placing an inveterate fabulist like Schiff on the committee only ensured that it wouldn’t have credibility with Republicans—presumably the people Democrats want to convince. With dwindling national interest in the proceedings, Schiff went on TV this weekend and announced that the Jan. 6 Committee was in possession of evidence that Donald Trump had hatched a “fake elector plot” (another scheme that had absolutely no chance of working. A local fisherman in Cambodia has captured a true river monster that scientists believe is the world's largest freshwater fish. Moul Thun, 42, hooked a massive stingray that weighs 661 pounds and measures 13-feet-long, breaking the previous record of a catfish, discovered in Thailand in 2005, which clocked in at 646 pounds. The stingray, nicknamed 'Boramy' or 'full moon' in the Khmer language, was snagged in the Mekong River that is famous for hosting various species of large fish. A team of scientists from the Wonders of Mekong research project helped tag, measure and weigh the ray before it was released back into the river.

The U.S. plummeted into a recession in March 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, with a swiftness not seen since the Great Depression, the Congressional Research Service later found. Since then, restrictions imposed as a result of the pandemic have continued to loosen — allowing Americans to head back to jobs they essentially already have.
