Postmates, Burger King, Dr Pepper and other brands have released commercials with “top” and “bottom” gay sex references as part of Pride Month advertising campaigns that are worrying some LGBTQ advocates. The sexualized advertising is a startling pivot for a month when commercials traditionally have emphasized rainbows and same-sex couples embracing each other, Matt Lavietes reported Monday for NBC News.(Snip)“Sexualizing any marketing campaign in this way is a risk,” Mr. Witeck said. “But doing so to target LGBTQ consumers has greater risk because it overly sexualizes same-sex attraction in ways that we’ve been trying to normalize in many ways.”

Well, in reference to Dr. Pepper...seems like their "L'il Sweet" ad campaign has been wink and nod to homosexuals for years.

Just when you thought the USA had hit rock bottom; didn't even see this part, FTA. "One year later, a Cottonelle ad for flushable wipes featured an image of an “eggplant” emoji, often used in the gay community to symbolize a penis, with the message: “Happy Pride. Our Flushable Wipes will give you that just-showered feeling so you can keep the love going.”"

We can thank Walmart for bringing most of the China products into the country. Walmart just dropped My Pillow Mike Lindell after 20 years I guess the Chinese told Walmart what to do or they would lose their Chinese discounts on imports.

well, it looks like a Whopper and an Original Chicken Sandwich is no longer one of my favorites - never drink Dr. Pepper and don't rely on, what's Postmate???
do the ads take place in a steam bath where there's a lot of moaning and groaning due to the ahem, heated steam and perspiration???

I don't buy any of these products let the weirdos support them. When you turn on the real purchasing group like this you better be prepared to lose profit. Shoot low and miss really big. Haven't walked into a junk food place like BK in a decade or more after a bout with food poisoning, haven't drank a Dr. Pepper since high school in the early sixties and I don't know about the other product. Supporting such perverted losers, I don't understand.

Businesses have always jumped on whatever is stylish to sell their junk. What we are learning here is that there are no limits to the debauchery they will endorse to make a sale. The minute decency becomes stylish, all this perversion will get dumped like a radioactive basketball. They really dont endorse anything but money.

Yes, we are desperately trying to "normalize" the abnormal.

I am quite certain this is a result of the S in ESG. Even large corporations need to borrow money. The big banks are scoring companies based on Environment, Social and Government standards and compliance. Don't do what they expect? Sorry, no loan.
Ergo these companies toe the Social line to borrow the money they require to remain solvent.

Are these companies trying to sell food and beverage..... or is it "something else"? When I am hungry or thirsty, I am not looking for "something else."

My preferred fast food is Burger King with a Dr. Pepper.
I just sat out when BK had their Chicken King sandwich profits went to BLM. But this is twice in a year.
I'll just go a little out of my way for Hardee's (Carl Jr) (Only because there isn't an In and Out around) .
As for Dr Pepper this is strike 2. First was forcing the Dublin bunch to shut down the production of OLD Dr Pepper. This move is t. Generic root beer is fine.

There is a commercial for an aids prevention medication that has a gay gang bang reference. And they mention it in an approving way. Is their no limit to what has to be openly accepted, approved, and praised?

Sadly, it is not us that they are trying to influence. To them we are simply breeders. Our children and grandchildren will see the Rainbow culture as normal. PRIDE is on the top of the list for the seven deadly sins and PRIDE cometh before destruction. Teach your children well.

The "problematic" part of these ads is that they make clear, in graphic detail, exactly what they're proud of. So are they proud or not? It's in our face for a full month, 24/7, no escape. Many parents seem to be OK with it, and in two weeks we'll wave our US flags (made in China) and set off fireworks (also made in China) and grill on grills made in China and sit in lawn chairs made in China, wearing clothes made in China, and pretend that everything is normal. Maybe we'll even do the YOU-Ess AY! chant a few times; that's always a crowd-pleaser.
