Failure to ensure the rule of law results in lawlessness, and soft-on-crime, leftist policies yield skyrocketing violent crime rates. On the West Coast, San Francisco may be leading the league in this phenomenon, but other cities such as Los Angeles, Seattle, and Portland aren’t far behind. In the Midwest, Chicago is the undisputed champion, though St. Louis and Milwaukee appear hellbent on giving them a run for their money. But what about the East Coast?
New York’s new mayor Eric Adams has done his best to continue with predecessor Bill DeBlasio’s horrendous policies, as crime continues to surge in the Big Apple.

I saw these tips over the weekend.
Situational awareness
He’s standing on the wrong side of the hose, cutting off his exit to the store
Passenger side door should be locked
Should have keys in his pocket
Maybe it’s come to always having a gun in your hand while pumping gas. This is a suburb of Philly and more safe, from what I read, than the actual city. We are no longer a civilized society.

I am careful, as is my wife, when we are pumping gas alone, to do a visual sweep of the area while exiting the car. Then start the pump, get the fuel flowing, while head keeps moving, and then step back a few feet and casually look around. Prevent them from pinning you to the car, and ......
Be armed and trained.
When forced to get fuel on the road in a less than ideal area, my wife will pump, and I will move back to about 15 yds away, for 'armed overwatch', checking all directions, too. If you are seen as situationally aware, I think these thugs will pass you by, although us old folks (me included) are an attractive target, they think we can be easily overcome....which is unfortunately, often the case. Don't be easily overcome, be armed and trained.

Governor Kemp just signed Constitutional Carry here in Georgia, so we will have a lot more armed citizens protecting themselves. I don't know what the gun laws are in Philly, but if I had to guess, I would bet that it's difficult for a law-abiding citizen to get a permit.

Anyone who grabs me at a pump is going to get hosed down with gas.

Noted in the article is that these thugs are actually "goons". It's about time they were called what they really are: Black Thugs.

Thugs can spot beta males who have never been in a fight. The victim was clueless.

Remember: Just because three men in dark trousers and dark hoodies with the hoods up, on a hot shorts-wearing day, beats up a man who is pumping gas and then steals his car, does NOT mean all groups of men in dark trousers and dark hoodies with the hoods up, on a hot shorts-wearing day, will beat you up as you pump gas and then steal your car.
Do not engage in profiling! Profiling is a hate crime, people. The guy pumping gas deserved to be beaten and have his car stolen. He is a male member of the majority who is purchasing a fossil fuel product with money he earned. That is a crime against the environment and communists everywhere.

Another thing you could do is stand with your back to the car and if a Barack comes up on you, pull the nozzle and spray 10 bucks worth in his face.

A.B.P. Keep alert, we no longer live in a civil society. Adjust to the new normal: selective anarchy, all complements of The Democrat Party.

Try that here in Texas, other than in Austin, and find out the meaning of DRT.

Re #3, you guess wrong. Pennsylvania has had a very good 'shall issue' permit system and the permits are valid statewide, even though Philly has tried repeatedly to block them, no success. In Pennsylvania, you can get a permit without much effort. Some expense, yes, paperwork, etc. but not like the 8 states which essentially just block them to any average person.

My husband and I pump gas together in broad daylight at a big, busy station in our pretty decent neighborhood. I lock all of the car doors and help him with the keypad and the credit card, then he pumps the gas. The only attention we’ve ever drawn was from a motorist at the pump behind us. She honked, I motioned “what’s wrong?” and she came back with “you two look so cute!"

If that victim had his wits about him and had situational awareness of the danger coming towards him, once those perpetrators violently moved into his personal space he should’ve doused them with streams of gasoline, stepped back, and then lit a cigarette!

We all have the luxury of criticizing the victim after the fact. Most of us are not used to conducting our lives as if we lived in Beirut. (Maybe safer). Yes, be aware and keep one hand in your pocket on the 9 mm. Make sure it 'prints' through the fabric too.

It was about 5AM when I was pumping gas, at a very small gas station in Atlanta.when I watched my black cocker spaniel going from one side window to the next. When all of a sudden a black man, dressed in all black, jumped into the driver's side. Before he could close the door, my dog met him face to face. To this day, I don't know if the man was bit, but I have never seen a man ran as fast as he did to get away from my dog.
I always carry now and always lock all the doors.
I thanked God for keeping me safe that morning and for my dog, Joker.

If the pistol is in a holster on your hip, then it isn't concealed. You don't need a permit or any paperwork at all, (though a pocket copy of the US Constitution might be handy), and you can stroll into Philly and get gas without risking attack. When the predators are picking the weakest Metrosexual to attack, they tend to pass over the people who have a pistol on their hip.
