If Dems Were Serious, Adam Schiff Wouldn’t

The day Adam Schiff was named to the “Jan. 6” committee is the day we knew the investigation was going to be a frivolous partisan sideshow. As a political strategy, placing an inveterate fabulist like Schiff on the committee only ensured that it wouldn’t have credibility with Republicans—presumably the people Democrats want to convince. With dwindling national interest in the proceedings, Schiff went on TV this weekend and announced that the Jan. 6 Committee was in possession of evidence that Donald Trump had hatched a “fake elector plot” (another scheme that had absolutely no chance of working. The more we see the evidence,

He’s their useful idiot from a district where they will never lose, so why not let him be the bad cop on every democrat communist ploy. He’s gotten away with this role since 2017 and no end in sight! He must be investigated and if convicted charged with some criminal act in January 2023.

Barack and Michelle Obama's multiyear deal with Amazon's podcast platform Audible is worth at least $20million, experts have claimed. The couple will have to contribute two shows and appear in up to eight episodes each, the industry insiders said. The move will give the former first lady the scope to make less personal appearances than what was wanted under their former partnership with Spotify, the sources said. Audible said the pair plan to use their new platform to 'tell stories that elevate diverse voices and and experiences'. The Obamas cut ties with Spotify after reportedly clashing with the streaming giant over exclusivity and how much they were expected to appear in episodes.

Less than ten percent of Americans are following the January 6 committee’s hearings “very closely,” according to a new ABC News poll. ABC News, in conjunction with Ipsos, found that just nine percent of Americans are following the January 6 committee’s televised hearings “very closely.” The ABC News poll comes after the committee finished its first full week of televised hearings. The committee has held three public hearings, with four more on June’s congressional calendar. So far, the committee’s efforts have only made a six percent difference in the amount of Americans who believe former President Donald Trump should be held criminally liable for the January 6 Capitol riot.

Republican gubernatorial hopeful Rep. Unfortunately, he’s going to flip and flop,” Giuliani said

A bipartisan working group of U.S. Senators — 10 Democrats and 10 Republicans — finally unveiled the result of their work on federal firearm legislation spurred by the tragic shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, one that increasingly looks to have been worsened by a failure in local authorities' response. The text's release was delayed this week by some last-minute negotiations over a ban on any healthcare-related funds in the bill being used to pay for abortions, but that hurdle was cleared by Tuesday afternoon when the final text was released. Totaling 80 pages, the bill text can be viewed below:

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — Katie Britt won the Republican nomination for Senate in Alabama with a landslide runoff victory over Rep. Mo Brooks, capping a come-from-behind campaign that saw her first spurned but then endorsed by former President Donald Trump. Few believed Britt, 40, was viable last June upon entering the campaign against Brooks, one of the first Republican Senate contenders of the 2022 election cycle to receive a coveted Trump endorsement. But the former chief of staff to retiring Sen. Richard Shelby (R-AL) shrugged off Trump’s early criticism that she was an unqualified, establishment lackey — leapfrogging Brooks in the polls, finishing first

A bipartisan group of Senate negotiators released the text of their bill to combat gun violence following a string of recent mass shootings, including one at a Uvalde, Texas, elementary school. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said he expects to pass the bill this week. The bill would grant funding for states to implement red flag laws or other crisis prevention measures, enhance some background checks, and close the so-called boyfriend loophole: a gap in federal law barring spouses, but not dating partners, convicted of domestic abuse from gun ownership. The bill would also provide funding for some mental health resources and school safety measures.

Climate change is causing more frequent and intense droughts, storm, heat waves, rising sea levels and melting glaciers and to stop this destruction, MIT researchers proposes 'Space Bubbles' to shield Earth from the sun's rays to combat the devastation. This geoengineering idea would feature inflatable bubbles, organized in a circular shape the size of Brazil, which would sit between the Earth and the sun, blocking radiation from hitting our planet. 'We believe that inflating thin-film spheres directly in space from a homogeneous molten material–such as silicon can provide the variation in thickness that refracts a broader wave spectrum and allows us to

Their model, calculated in May when just 728 cases were confirmed or suspected globally, suggests the outbreak will largely affect the men who have sex with men community, while a surge in cases among other groups is 'unlikely'.
