Memo to Republicans: It’s time to dump
The Donald and run with The Ronald

President Donald Trump recently issued his fourth official statement about me since our controversial interview two months ago. At the risk of further incurring his wrath, if anyone is drawing flies right now, it’s Donald Trump. If you were scripting a perfect Republican presidential candidate, the list of preferred requirements would read something like DeSantis’s resume.

Comments:

The Piers - Donald feud continues. Why did Trump give Piers Morgan an interview? He should have known better.

Like a stopped clock: Piers and the RINOs are accidentally correct on this one, IMO. While I can wholeheartedly support a DJT run, I'd rather see him put his efforts into a new MAGA party, run a Ron DeSantis/Marjorie Taylor Greene ticket in 2024, and let both wings of the Uni-Party pound sand. My reasoning is threefold: 1. DJT's age. Even the 'Energizer Bunny' eventually runs down. 2. The Lib's obsession to be rid of DJT by any means, including that taboo word with back to back 'donkeys' in it. 3. DJT's well-deserved 'retirement' as a revered and respected senior mentor and national hero. Let him enjoy the rest of his years with that status.

We don't have to "dump" President Trump, but my hope is that he will put 2020 behind him and support our candidates to 2022 and 2024 victory. He exerts a lot of influence in the party and it would be terrific if he uses it wisely.

We've seen Republicans run as Conservatives at the state level and RINOs at the national level. We need to know more about DeSantis. Let's see who runs before deciding who to vote for. The injustice of the stealing of Trump's second term will never be reconciled until he is returned to office, period. This is the only message that matters to the traitors that conspired to rob him of his legitimate term in office. I doubt that Piers Morgan really doubts that the election was stolen, he is just pushing the "Big Lie" narrative because he would be dropped from the airwaves if he didn't just like the anchors on Fox.

I'm torn on this one. If Trump wins for the 3rd time, the communists, deep staters and rinos will pull out all the stops to destroy him like they did last time. He will very likely appoint more traitors to his cabinet because thats all there is to choose from. He will continue to make me cringe because thats what he does. I will vote for him if he is the candidate, but DeSantis is sure worth a look. He's done very well so far. As for Mr Anti Gun Piers Morgan, if he is right about anything its a fluke. Former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson’s Tuesday testimony ought to ring the death knell for former President Donald Trump’s political career. Trump is unfit to be anywhere near power ever again. Hutchinson’s resume alone should establish her credibility. The 25-year-old had already worked at the highest levels of conservative Republican politics, including in the offices of Sen. Ted Cruz (TX) and House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (LA), before becoming a top aide for former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows.

Based on a casual reading of the polls, Donald Trump looks to have smooth sailing to the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 and the chance to erase the stink of losing to Joe Biden that he so covets. But if that’s the case, why does Trump seem so panicky these days? Simple: Trump is in trouble, and — when you dig into the numbers — his grip on the GOP nomination is getting more tenuous. It is Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) who has all the momentum.

MIAMI -- Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis ripped into President Joe Biden Thursday morning during a South Florida stop when asked about inflation and high gas prices. "So, the question is about gas prices and inflation, you know what I could do, if you could give me a time machine to go back to January 2021, we would just do the opposite of what Biden has done, and we'd be in a better spot," said DeSantis. "Now. I mean, I really think it's, he's got a lot of chutzpah to attack energy producers, when he campaigned saying he was going to shut down energy production in the United States."

WASHINGTON (AP) — Nearly a year since its inception, the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol will go public with its findings starting this week as lawmakers hope to show the American public how democracy came to the brink of disaster. The series of hearings that will take place over the next several weeks begin with a prime-time session Thursday night in which the nine-member panel plans to give an overview of its 11-month investigation. More than 1,000 people have been interviewed by the panel, and only snippets of that testimony have been revealed to the public, mostly through court filings.
