This just ain’t fare. The MTA’s communications team selectively edited a video to make it look like a “latte-sipping” middle-aged woman was scamming a ride by sneaking under a subway turnstile in a bid to claim that well-heeled New Yorkers and not just violent vagrants are fare evaders. But according to a full clip of the incident obtained by The Post, the customer made at least one attempt to swipe her MetroCard before being forced to crawl under the turnstile when it apparently failed to register. “We have countless images of people in designer clothes, carrying $7 lattes, waltzing through emergency gates at Wall Street

The Biden administration has refused to send warplanes to Ukraine but is now planning to equip Kyiv with some of the most modern and deadly long-range drones, according to people familiar with discussions. The plan would involve selling four MQ-1C Gray Eagle drones—a more powerful version of the unmanned Predator aircraft and capable of carrying eight Hellfire missiles—for battlefield use against Russian forces. The sale of the General Atomics-made drones could still be blocked by Congress, according to sources who said the plan has been discussed at the Pentagon for weeks.(Snip)Training on the UAV system made by General Atomics usually takes months,

President Joe Biden’s Department of State, as well as other federal agencies, marked the first day of “Pride Month” on Wednesday with an image of the “Progress Pride Flag,” which supposedly calls for more inclusion by including stripes for trans and minority communities.
“On June 25, the Department flew the Progress flag for the first time over Washington, DC headquarters. @DeputySecState: ‘The United States is firmly committed to fighting for LGBTQI+ people at home and everywhere.’ #PrideMonth,” the department said in a tweet posted Wednesday morning:(Snip)It followed up with another social media post, writing, “June is #Pride Month! The Black Lives Matters national group has a new executive to deal with its financial scandal: a woman who’s bungled her own finances.
Cicley Gay, 44, a non-profit advisor and flack named chair of Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation in April, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2005, 2013 and 2016, federal court records show.
Her most recent filing, from August 2016, showed Gay had more than $120,000 in debts, including owing $55,000 in student loans—from her time studying at Liberty University in Virginia and the University of Kansas—and more than $18,000 for leasing a Lincoln MKZ sedan.
She also claimed to have $7,000 in medical expenses

As Americans across the US struggle to find infant formula, President Biden claimed Wednesday he was unaware of the problem until early April—months after the closure of a Michigan factory triggered the crisis. Biden made the stunning admission following a virtual meeting with major formula manufacturers on the same day the Wall Street Journal, citing research firm IRI, reported that 23% of powdered baby formula was out of stock during the week ending May 22, compared with a 21% out-of-stock rate during the previous week. The normal out-of-stock range prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the outlet, was between 5% and 7%.

The U.S. has added more than 2 million immigrants to its population since President Biden took office in 2021, the vast majority of them here illegally, according to a new report Wednesday that says most of the newcomers are arriving illegally. The surge is so overwhelming that it’s pushed up the projected point at which the U.S. will have its largest-ever share of immigrants, according to the Center for Immigration Studies. At the current pace of growth, 14.9% of residents will be immigrants as of sometime next year, topping the record set around the turn of the 20th century. That’s half a decade earlier than the Census Bureau’s last calculation,

A teacher did not, as previously stated, leave a door propped open with a rock during the massacre at Robb elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, last week, but closed it before the attacks began–only for the door to not automatically lock, Texas state investigators said. The gunman used the door to get inside, where he killed 19 students and two teachers.
The finding, released by Texas department of public safety on Tuesday, contradicts an earlier account in which they said a teacher had propped the door open shortly before Salvador Ramos, 18, entered the building.(Snip)“We did verify she closed the door. The door did not lock.

President Joe Biden celebrated the beginning of “Pride Month” on Wednesday, adding a new initial to the Pride acronym in recognition of “Intersex” as an additional gender identity. “We reaffirm that LGBTQI+ rights are human rights,” Biden wrote in a statement on Twitter. “And we recommit to delivering protections, safety, and equality so everyone can realize the full promise of America.” The president’s statement included an additional “I” to the Pride acronym to represent “Intersex,” even though the White House only celebrated LGBTQ+ the previous year.(Snip)Biden reaffirmed his support for not just lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer rights, but also intersex and “+,” a symbol designed to refer

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen says she made a mistake last year in predicting that inflation would be minimal or manageable. “I think I was wrong then about the path that inflation would take,” Ms. Yellen told CNN on Tuesday. A once-promising fight against COVID-19 took a downward turn in mid-2021 as variants surged and producers struggled to shake off the pandemic and meet the demand for products. People who saved money or received federal payments continued to spend on goods instead of services, trips, conferences and other events, exacerbating the problem. Republicans say President Biden overheated the economy by authorizing new stimulus funding alongside the vaccine-driven
