During a campaign event on May 21, Texas Democrat gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke expressed his belief that Americans who own AR-15s should not be able to keep them. On May 31, FOX News highlighted the comments as part O’Rourke’s ongoing effort against the guns. In the comments, O’Rourke stressed his position that no one should be able “to purchase an AR-15 or AK-47,” and added, “I don’t think that the people who have them right now in civilian use should be able to keep them.”

How can this mental midget believe that he can get half of Texas to agree with him? I’m getting really tired of hearing about this nitwit.

He knows SCOTUS has already spoken and will again if necessary. This is all posturing for the base, most of whom are clueless and vote on emotion.

"Beto announces that he does NOT want to be Texas Governor", will look at running in Conn, Maryland, Mass. instead.
(or...just use this as a fundraising tool from those states, then keep the cash)

There are over 20,000,000 AR-15s (.223) in private hands. It's by far the most popular rifle sold today in America. Criminals really, really don't want to face it when they do their home invasions. Some die trying. The Founders would approve of ARs. AKs , too. Beta's unconstitutional opinion doesn't.matter. He's a dictator wannabe. Come. Take.

No confiscation without compensation. I think he missed that part (not that anyone is going to be turning in their rifle for $).

I agree, come and take them if you dare, Beto baby. You can legislate and regulate all you want. We will NOT disarm. We will resist, vigorously.

Banning semi-automatic rifles would just be the start, as the leftist Democrats would then work their way through banning semi-automatic handguns, and then move on to banning all modern firearms. Biden made that pretty clear yesterday outside the White House when he said that nobody needs high powered firearms.

I saw a movie where Germans marched into a French village. After settling in, the Nazis ordered all the villagers to turn in their pistols and hunting/bird rifles. The next scene shows the people lined up at the tables to dutifully turn in their arms. Beta would love to emulate fascists like the Germans in that movie.

Adopting this platform in Texas like it’s an idea voters will embrace makes everyone laugh out loud. He needs to stop embarrassing himself. It’s uncomfortable to watch.

I don't own a single AR-15 (.223). Too wimpy a load. Got several 7.62x39 and 7.62x54r semi-auto rifles, though. And a whole lot of ammo for each, and a bunch of other calibers. None of them will be taken from me while I am alive.

How will they know who has one? Oh yeah. The NICS database and whatever other databases the purchases have been entered in, more than likely gun store sales records.

big mouthed fools like this punk will always be around. Unfortunately we live in a time where they have power in too many key places. It isn't the idiots like him that are the real issue, the big question is who will follow their orders? '

Why don't you run down to Texas, slip into your rainbow clothes, knock on doors and demand people hand you their guns.
Good luck.
