Joe Biden Is Too Old to Be President

Original Article

On the menu today: As President Biden continues to misstate his own policies, it is a painful sign that the next president must be someone who has enough youth and energy to handle the pressures of the job.(Snip)The next president should not be in his seventies . . . or his eighties. I realize that is age-ist, but the presidency is one of the hardest jobs in the world, and executing the duties of the presidency well requires someone who is in good physical and mental health, ideally with a lot of vigor and an ability to handle off-the-charts stress and a relentless workload.

Being "old" is not a criteria that would eliminat a person from being President. Next one will states that being bald is a critiera too. Whether or not the bum is incapable of handling the job is an individaul matter. Moses was elderly too.

National Review is simply trying to convince the country that Donald Trump will be too old in 2024. Nice try National Review, no one cares what you think any more. And by the way, Biden was unfit and not capable of the job of president 40 years ago. His age has nothing to do with it.

I do think there is a point around 75-80 where literally everyone should be disqualified for ALL political offices. I have had many relations that were completely lucid and lived on their own well into their 80's but I wouldn't want them as president simply because of the risk. But with Joe it isn't age, it's his dementia, the physical indicators are obvious to those of us who know. The mental/social indicators are obvious to everyone with 2 brains cells to rub together. My dad had Alzheimer's. He had it for 12 years before he died. After about 4 years, he was no longer able to drive, pay the bills, or remember if he had taken his meds or eaten, basic stuff. Daddy got lost easily and would wander like a child. He shuffle stepped, his posture dropped, he stared off into the distance vacantly, lost his depth perception so stairs were impossible, lost his fine motor skills and could no longer write, he asked the same question repeatedly but could make little other conversation and eventually stopped talking almost entirely. If Joe didn't have a legion of tax payer funded staff and wasn't hopped up on who knows what kind of experimental meds, he would be in memory care now.

Disingenuous Never Trumper trying to set up a straw dog argument to reject Trump out of hand. Biden's problems are that he is a liberal, he has dementia, and he has always been a moron. His dementia isn't making him this dumb, it is simply exposing the truth of Biden. He is an idiot.

Bragg’s Case against Trump Has a U.S.Constitution Problem 10 replies

According to press reports, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is close to indicting Donald Trump, or at least wrestling with the decision. While Trump has predicted “death and destruction” if he is arrested, his defenders should focus instead on the prosecution’s legal flaws. In fact, at the heart of the case rests a critical — but so far unexplored — defect that should bring down Bragg’s house of cards.

There seems little doubt that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s indictment of Donald Trump is imminent.(Snip)All that said, though, reports that Trump will be arrested on Tuesday are premature and probably inaccurate. They appear to have been generated by the former president himself and apparently are not based on discussions between the Trump camp and the DA’s office.

One of the funnier quirks of the Trump era is how closely the former president and his critics in the press mirror one another. From indulging in absolute gutter rhetoric to embracing rank illiberalism to promoting unhinged conspiracy theories, Trump and his press critics tend to have more in common than not. And right now, Trump and his media counterparts agree (albeit for slightly different reasons): Ron DeSantis is the worst.

Federal government interference has massively distorted American health care costs for decades. In his State of the Union address on Tuesday, President Joe Biden touted how the misnamed Inflation Adjustment Act (IRA) will further warp medical care costs by "finally giving Medicare the power to negotiate drug prices." The result is essentially putting price controls on prescription drugs. And price controls will do for prescription drugs what they do for all other products upon which they are imposed: create shortages, queues, black markets, and rationing.

Way back in the mid-1980s, communist Yugoslavia exported the Yugo, a compact car that sold for around $4,000. It was so poorly made that bumping into a pole at 5 mph could total it. Fast forward to today, and a new class of cars has a similar problem. A minor accident can cause a total loss, even if the car’s been driven only a few miles. The only difference is that these cars aren’t cheap imports from some godforsaken socialist state. These are state-of-art electric vehicles that come with an average sticker price of $55,000.
