They really, REALLY don't want to talk about repealing the Second Amendment... they really don't.

Gee...MILLIONS of these same guns in "civilian hands" in Texas alone and amazingly they don't go out and do this every single day(NONE of these are in military hands, there isn't a single military in the entire world that uses them) Maybeeee...if police reports were filed after multiple domestic violence calls to his home, where he lived with his drug addict Mom, who also never seemed to get "Intervened with", the kid would have been ordered to counseling about wearing make up, dresses, self harming...cutting...and not in some hidden area HIS FACE....perhaps he could have been flagged so that he did NOT pass the mandatory background check he did.A black clad psycho that is willing to kill his own family, then head out to slaughter children is NOT the RNC/NRA/Republican average Joe. He was loose in the community because teachers/councilors/social workers "Oh you poor dear'd" him enough to remain there...likely ALL of whom are sensitive Democrats and now blaming others for THEM not catching the obvious signs. Even his "Close friends" now admit he was off the deep end, driving around shooting people with bb guns, dressing like the Columbine shooters.

It takes a person with a GUN to stop a Shooter! If the Principal of that School had a gun, he could have stopped this Killer way before he was able to shoot that many kids. You can't always wait until the Police get there. By then, it's all over and the Dead are everywhere!

A handful of teachers and administrators at each school should have a lockbox containing a high-powered, loaded rifle and identifying vest with a lock-band. They should be trained and ready to go after a shooter at a moment's notice.

I am coming to the conclusion that I don’t want to have anything to do with democrats. I don’t want to hear their nonsense. I don’t want to have to see their smug faces. I don’t want to have to acknowledge their presence. In fact, I don’t want them anywhere near me. Does anyone believe we can actually have a conversation with these people? What do we have in common? Our philosophy of life is totally different so how are we supposed to live among them. They reject everything we hold dear. The rifles that the Democrats claim that are “military assault rifles” are not really so, in essence those rifles are really just semi automatic rifles that are civilian models derived from the real military assault rifles that are fully automatic rifles. As some semi automatic rifles look similar to the legitimate military fully automatic assault rifles that similarity has given the leftist gun control supporting Democrats the opportunity to falsely conflate the two distinct types of rifles into all being military assault rifles. When the trigger is squeezed on a military assault type automatic rifle that rifle with fire a burst or number of rounds (shots) depending upon how the adjustable firing mechanism is pre set, while with a civilian semi automatic rifle the rifle will fire one round or shot each time the trigger is squeezed. Automatic rifles are classed in federal firearms laws as being machine guns and cannot be legally purchased through civilian gun dealers since before the Second World War, unless the purchaser has a special federal firearms license. If civilian semi automatic rifles are banned as Biden and the leftist Democrats want to happen, and after that school shootings continued to occur which they will, with deranged shooters instead using semi automatic handguns, you can safely bet that Biden and like politicians would be out there claiming that all semi automatic handguns should be also banned, thus leaving law abiding Americans with almost no modern era firearms with which to defend themselves. Can you imagine the area between Uvalde and the borderline if law abiding Americans were not allowed to keep and bare modern firearms, thus leaving the highly armed Mexican criminal and drug cartels the ability to raid those areas and terrorize the then unarmed US citizen population that resides along the USA side of the borderline and further into the interior of the USA? Instead the politicians of both political parties should be concentrating on effectively physically securing school buildings so that deranged intending shooters cannot gain entry to school buildings, in that respect it is now being reported that the Uvalde elementary school had such security doors, but that one door leading from outside the school into a kitchen area had been left open and completely insecure allowing the shooter to walk inside the school. Also the politicians also address the out of control mental health situation across the country where on an almost daily basis, dangerous mentally ill individuals are turned out on the streets thus able to frequently assault and murder innocent people. The leftist Democrats should recognize those facts, as the last time that Biden and the leftist Democrats attempted to impose gun bans, that the Democrats lost control of the Congress for about a decade.

If banning certain firearms was a good idea there's no practical way to do it. There are millions of AR-15 and variants out there. If the government demanded that citizens give up semiautomatic weapons most wouldn't. And no criminals would. I'd like to know how an 18 year old loser with no job got $ 4k for ordance and a truck. Don't agree with the author that without semis we would be defenseless. My 357 Magnum revolvers provide me with all the self defense I need.

My first comment is about the mom of the shooter. "I didn't know" is not an excuse. My next comment is about Democrats, liberals, and RINO's. The disconnect that I see has to do with their insistence on taking God out of society. Along with the Ten Commandments is the Greatest Commandment: "Love God with all your heart, mind, and soul" plus "Love your neighbor as yourself". Can it get any simpler? Not for the Democrats. They have so many mixed messages that a person cannot keep up with them. Democrats believe in the right to choose but get upset when someone mass murders. Yet, Nancy Pelosi still wants communion. The Catholic churches also have mixed messages so one bishop may give communion and another may not. My final comment is about Alex Lasry, the Democrat running against Ron Johnson. He sits there with his wife and baby/toddler. Talk about mixed messages. He states he believes in pro-choice freedoms. Doesn't he realize what happens to a baby when it is aborted? That ad speaks volumes of the mixed messages coming from the Democrat party. By the way, if he thinks that ad is charming and cute for his wife and baby, it is a turnoff for me. . . turn off the tv.

Assume there is one sworn officer for every square mile, distributed evenly. Currently, there are not than many in the whole country and they are concentrated in high population areas. That means if you are confronted by someone with a weapon, the best case is the officer is next to you. The worst case is the officer is 1.4 miles away (hypotenuse). Let’s say 1.25 miles for simplicity. If the best case, the officer will probably be able to defend you. In the worst case, the officer cannot get to you in time because even if the officer is traveling more than 80 MPH, the officer is still more than a minute from you. So, your choice is to stay out of the square miles in which there is crime or arm yourself.

This whole playbook by the Dems has become so hackneyed it isn't even amusing anymore. It's against the law to kill someone in every state and Texas even has the death penalty ... so did those facts stop this nut job? If he couldn't get a rifle, he'd use a pistol. Or a knife or a baseball bat! Hundreds of laws on the books so let's try enforcing a few. Note the Demo-rats will not approve mandatory sentencing for a crime with a gun nor will they ban violent computer games for kids under 18. Someone in every school should be certified as a gun user and post a sign saying so outside. I guarantee this nut would have gone elsewhere if he knew someone in the school was armed and ready to shoot back!
