"Twitter deal temporarily on hold pending details supporting calculation that spam/fake accounts do indeed represent less than 5% of users," Musk tweeted.
The price of shares in the social media company dipped double digits in premarket trading after the Tesla and SpaceX CEO's tweet.
In his tweet announcing the snag in the deal, Musk shared an news article from earlier this month about a Twitter disclosure

As bad as Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg are, the idea of Hillary Clinton joining this foolish gaggle is similar to Revenge of the Sith when Emperor Palpatine sends Darth Vader to join the trade federation folks on Mustafar.
Yes, the Trade Federation goons were misguided and corrupt, but they weren’t evil Sith lords. Hillary Clinton is the evil Sith Lord. (Seriously, didn’t you see this picture?)
Star Wars references aside, Hillary Clinton was recently named as a possible contender for not-so-conservative Megan McCain’s temporary replacement. It would absolutely be a ratings bonanza for the somehow-watched show featuring out-and-out racists and Holocaust deniers. It would also be horrendous for everyone else.

Casey White is a dangerous survivalist with no regard for human life, more likely to go out in a hail of bullets than surrender, DailyMail.com can reveal.
This is the view of a man who served time with White, 38, and has spent time with him both in and out of prison.
Robert McBay, 29, spoke exclusively to DailyMail.com as the manhunt for White and former corrections officer Vicky White, 56 (no relation) enters its eleventh day.
McBay, who was born and raised in Limestone, Alabama, served time with Casey in 2015 when the fugitive was arrested after a violent crime spree

One of the more ingenious aspects of our Constitution is its requirement that our military leaders are accountable to non-military officials. All our generals and admirals ultimately report to the Secretary of Defense and his underlings at the Pentagon who are part of the Executive Branch of government. Our Legislative Branch of government, aka Congress, is responsible for, among other things, funding and monitoring the Executive Branch, aka the White House, which is why we have committees such as the Senate Armed Services Committee.

Republican Senate candidate Kathy Barnette called out Dr. Mehmet Oz during a tense exchange about abortion, revealing she was the byproduct of rape.
On Wednesday, candidates for Pennsylvania GOP Senate primary gathered for a debate as they attempt to sway voters before the May 17 primary election.
Candidates were asked about their stance on abortion days after Justice Samuel Alito's draft opinion to overturn Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion nationwide, was leaked.
It was then that candidate Kathy Barnette, a conservative political commentator, explained her personal connection to the pro-life movement, revealing she was the byproduct of a rape.

Democrats would have us believe that January 6th last year was one of the darkest days in American history. It wasn’t. In fact, it’s not even in the top 1,000. But it was a horrible day in another regard. It was on January 6, 2021 when we learned that in the runoff elections the day before, both U.S. Senate seats in Georgia had flipped from Republican to Democrat, including the seat won by Raphael Warnock who defeated Republican Kelly Loeffler.
With the loss of those two seats, the chamber became split evenly at 50-50, Republicans to Democrats, and with Vice-President Kamala Harris being the tie-breaking vote,

What’s that I hear?
I think it’s the howls of rage and fury emanating from a Montecito mansion in the hours after Meghan Markle had the crushing realisation that pretending to be a Hollywood ‘Duchess’ means nothing in the cutthroat world of American TV.
Netflix, which just 14 months ago at the height of the pandemic subscriber boom, employed the Sussexes in an unprecedented exclusive telly deal worth tens of millions, has had a crushing realisation of its own: Viewers of the once-great streaming platform aren’t going to keep paying to be force fed a succession of painfully PC dramas about pregnant men

Much has been said about Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law. While the left did everything possible to demonize the bill and turn public opinion against it, their efforts didn’t work.
Their media tried to label it as the “Don’t Say Gay Bill,” which it wasn’t. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg and his husband Chasten, among others, tried to convince us that kids would die as a result of the law, which they won’t. And Democrats continue to assert that the law will negatively impact the learning environment for kids in the state, which is absurd.

The number of Asian American students at Ivy League colleges flatlined for years before recently rising again, even as the demographic saw substantial population growth, according to a new report.
The analysis, released Thursday by Robert VerBruggen of the Manhattan Institute, a conservative think tank, details how Asian American enrollment at the eight Ivy League colleges remained flat for over a decade, despite the demographic enjoying substantial population growth alongside higher standardized test scores and grade point averages.

The Supreme Court on Monday looked poised to side with a high school football coach who claims he was unfairly suspended for praying on the field.
The Bremerton School District in 2015 suspended coach Joe Kennedy, claiming his postgame prayers were designed to cause a spectacle. Kennedy pushed back, claiming he was exercising his First Amendment rights. During Monday's arguments, the justices seemed to take Kennedy's side.
Justice Brett Kavanaugh pushed back on the district's characterization of Kennedy as an attention-seeker and said it's hard for a head coach to do anything discreetly during an athletic event. Justice Samuel Alito took issue with the district's rationale for suspending Kennedy.

In this installment of their weekly Sunday Six conversation, PF Whalen and Parker Beauregard of The Blue State Conservative discuss the six most impressive moves by our favorite governor, Ron DeSantis.
PF: #6: Signs bill in November banning vaccine mandates in the state, and holds the signing ceremony in Brandon, Florida.
PF: Full disclosure, I’m a huge fan of Ron DeSantis, and have been since the very early stages of his 2018 gubernatorial campaign against Andrew Gillum. He was bold from the beginning, and extremely impressive. But of everything DeSantis has done as governor, this might be my favorite, simply because of the symbolism.

Former President Donald Trump touted the "explosive" 2020 election fraud lawsuit in Antrim County, Michigan, in a campaign call on Wednesday.
Trump spoke for roughly five minutes during a telephone town hall event for Matthew DePerno, a Republican candidate for Michigan attorney general who is spearheading the litigation, according to the Detroit News.
"The mistake had to be corrected," Trump said. "We caught them. And they said, 'Well, we made a little mistake.' It wasn't a mistake at all. It was being caught."
Comments:
I don't know how well he'll do as a Senator, but he's got to be better than the clown in there right now.
