Last September, New York Democrats sought to drive the Republican Party out of existence in the state by taking the term “gerrymander” to unheard-of levels. Currently, the Democrats hold 19 congressional seats to the GOP’s 8. The map drawn by the state legislature was a parody of democracy. It would have eliminated five Republican seats and strengthened the marginal hold on several other seats by Democrats. An intense road rage dispute between two motorists in Florida landed one of them behind bars Tuesday after he pulled out a knife, prompting the victim to display a gun, authorities said.

Back in 2012 at a town hall meeting, a woman asked me if I thought there were socialists in Congress. I replied by stating that there were some 75-80 socialist and communists in the US Congress. Well, that sent some folks into an apoplectic meltdown; however, it was the truth.
