Los Angeles - A U.S. appeals court ruled Wednesday that California’s ban on the sale of semiautomatic weapons to adults under 21 is unconstitutional. In a 2-1 ruling, a panel of the San Francisco-based 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals said Wednesday the law violates the Second Amendment right to bear arms and a San Diego judge should have blocked what it called “an almost total ban on semiautomatic centerfire rifles” for young adults. “America would not exist without the heroism of the young adults who fought and died in our revolutionary army,” Judge Ryan Nelson wrote. “Today we reaffirm that our Constitution still protects the right that enabled their sacrifice:

Gee, old enough to vote and get drafted, but not old enough to protect oneself, per our Constitutional right? Some Judges still have a few brain cells remaining.

#3, Kyle would not have placed himself in that hazardous position, without a gun. I also disagree with the law professor quoted in the article - he said gun rights are being expanded. He is wrong. In fact, gun rights are being affirmed. There is a difference.

When you go woke, you run the risk of going broke, and apparently, Netflix is pulling the ripcord before the streaming giant good and fully faceplants. Following a financial report that saw its stock price plummet 37 percent in late April, Netflix is now moving to adjust its culture and reengage its frustrated audience. A new “culture memo” dealing with “artistic expression” has been sent out, and it’s clearly a shot at the woke staffers who have been sandbagging the company. Excerpts come via The Daily Wire. “If you’d find it hard to support our content breadth, Netflix may not be the best place for you,”
WH Spins One Heck of a Tale When They
Get Nailed Over Baby Formula Shortage

Is the White House lying even about their response to the baby formula shortage? Listen as White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki claims Joe Biden has been working on the issue that she blames on the Abbott Company recall. She says that they’ve been working on the problem for months. Funny that. If they’ve been working on it for months, why hasn’t Biden hasn’t made any public comment on the effort? White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said it was a “top priority” on Wednesday. But then, when she was asked who was the point person on the issue at the White House, Jean-Pierre was unable to say. Some priority.

Incoming White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked who is running lead on the baby formula crisis for the White House? Her reaction was disturbing. During a press gaggle on Air Force One, she giggled and said she doesn’t know who that person is but she’d find out. The reporters took the answer in stride. Imagine if the previous president’s press secretary delivered that answer (and giggle) to such an important question for so many families right now. The baby formula crisis is real and it has a lot of moms in a panic due to the shortage of products on store shelves. Imagine being one of those moms
Major companies remain silent on abortion

It’s a good thing, but isn’t it a little odd that corporate America is suddenly silent on such a hot-button issue as abortion? Since the leaked opinion from the Supreme Court was exposed, there has been a deafening silence from the woke CEOs so eager to weigh in on controversial issues. It would be nice if corporate America finally realized that consumers don’t care about the personal opinions of CEOs and resent it when those opinions are pushed on the general public. For example, was it really such a good idea for Disney to come out on the opposite side of parental rights in public schools when its original business model

You all remember the story: the Biden Department of Justice coordinated with the National School Boards Association to arrange for FBI investigations of parents who are unhappy about their local schools teaching racism and anti-Americanism (Critical Race Theory) and gender confusion, and requiring masks. The episode was so sordid that many state school board associations dropped their affiliation with NSBA, and most people doubted that the FBI would be craven enough to follow Attorney General Merrick Garland’s patently unconstitutional directive. But follow it they did. Yesterday Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee, acting on tips from unhappy FBI agents, wrote Merrick Garland to criticize the diversion of FBI resources

Hollywood executives are reportedly hesitant about taking a public stance against the Supreme Court’s expected reversal of Roe v. Wade as they look to avoid the kind of public relations disaster the Walt Disney Co. is currently experiencing after it picked a fight with Florida. Studio and talent agency executives, who lean overwhelmingly to the left, have become “much more nervous” when it comes to responding to politically divisive issues, including abortion, according to a report from The Wrap. The firestorm Disney is going through over Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law has become a Hollywood cautionary tale and a template of what not to do

At the end of 2014, a video game journalist by the name of Nathan Grayson wrote for the gaming news website Kotaku. One day, it came to light that Grayson was in a relationship with a game developer named Zoe Quinn, and he was giving good reviews to Quinn’s game without disclosing this relationship. The gaming community naturally did not like the fact they were getting unethical journalism surrounding the gaming industry and demanded that these gaming news sites do better. In response, the now-social justice soaked gaming websites published articles about how the gaming community was over

The House Select Committee on the January 6 Capitol has issued subpoenas to House GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy and four other House Republicans who have declined the panel’s requests to voluntarily cooperate. The group also subpoenaed Representatives Jim Jordan of Ohio, Mo Brooks of Alabama, Andy Biggs of Arizona and Scott Perry of Pennsylvania. The round of subpoenas, which the committee announced on Thursday, is the first time the panel has issued subpoenas to sitting members of Congress. It is extraordinarily rare for a Congressional committee to do so. “The Select Committee has learned

This is the gargantuan black hole that lives at the centre of our galaxy, pictured for the very first time. Known as Sagittarius A*, the object is a staggering four million times the mass of our Sun. What you see is a central dark region where the hole resides, circled by the light coming from super-heated gas accelerated by immense gravitational forces. For scale, the ring is roughly the size of Mercury's orbit around our star. That's about 60 million km, or 40 million miles, across. Fortunately, this monster is a long, long way away - some 26,000 light-years in the distance - so there's no possibility of us ever coming to any danger.

Newsom’s announcement comes after a leaked majority draft opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization revealed that the Supreme Court could be poised to overturn Roe v. Wade, returning the question of abortion to the states.

Howard Lake, Minn. — More wet weather is making it hard for farmers across the state to start planting their crops. Some of them say they're at least 10 days behind. "I'm hoping we can dodge the rain events for the next couple days," said longtime farmer Brad Dehn. "If we get upwards of an inch, inch and a half, we could be delayed another week." He says a cool and wet April, coupled with recent storms, means he can't plant corn or soybeans yet on his 2,400 acres of fields outside of Buffalo in Wright County. "I’m a little bit nervous about what could happen," said Dehn.

The dramatic move by Finland was announced by President Sauli Niinisto and Prime Minister Sanna Marin. It means that Finland is all but certain to join NATO, though a few steps remain before the application process can begin. Neighboring Sweden is expected to decide on joining NATO in coming days. “NATO membership would strengthen Finland’s security. As a member of NATO, Finland would strengthen the entire defence alliance,”

Let it be known that the politicians of the Democrat Party in Washington are either evil or cowardly with the exception of one. Reports say that Democrats had brought Roe v Wade to the floor in order to codify it into law. The goal was to legalize abortion nationwide up until birth with what would be no limits. As you can imagine, every single Republican voted against this and they were joined by none other than West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin who had indicated that he’d vote against it earlier in the day. This resulted in Democrats being 11 votes shy of what they needed to pass Roe into law.

Marjorie Taylor Greene from Georgia, and Dan Crenshaw from Texas, were involved in a heated online exchange over providing U.S. aid to Ukraine Since Russia's incursion began, the U.S has supplied Ukraine with billions of dollars in aid. Back in March, the House and the Senate approved $13.6bn for ‘assistance’ to Ukraine. On Tuesday, the House approved $40 billion more in aid. At the beginning of the month, Biden had requested $33 billion but the House generously offered $7 billion more. The aid to Ukraine comes as the US, under Biden, is struggling on several fronts.
