The Greatest Of All American Philosophers…
The Incomparable George Carlin

Over the centuries, America has been blessed with more than its fair share of comedians. The exceptional ones often made their name harpooning politicians and politics in general. It’s fair to say some of the best of those skewers were more expert in irony, cynicism, and sarcasm than knee-slapping, pie-in-the-face comedy. In his final years, George Carlin (1937-2008) rose from Top 40 DJ and TV’s “Hippy-Dippy Weatherman” to the pinnacles of popularity, foremost among those who could speak unvarnished truth to power and get belly-laughs, standing O’s, and serious respect for his words and insights.

Am a fan of Carlin. He refers to the crooks on Wall Street. Undoubtedly there are. But Washington is the abode of the nest of vipers. One of the things I like about him is his mind works differently from most. Such as if you had chicken for lunch and chicken for supper did you ever wonder if the two chickens knew each other?

In his prime Carlin was a comic genius. Those days were long gone when he resorted to cynical screeds about politics and his hatreds. He was a howling shell of his former self. You know, where the audience laughs at whatever he says bc they paid money to be there. Plus they're as cool as he is. His screeds against religion were just bile. And then he died. Sad and pathetic.

I liked his comedy album stuff. It helped to be drunk when listening. Like so many, he didnt know when to hang it up. That TV series that took place mostly in a NY Irish pub was just sad. A worn out, bald hippie who just spent the whole show griping. Kind of wrecked my image of him.

Interesting that the government benefits from dumbed down citizens. In Iran the ones who win the "lottery" to live in America are the educated, the engineers, the doctors.... The ones who might rise up and lead an insurrection against a corrupt government.

Carlin was so funny he made my stomach ache - before he augured in. My favorite is his big box little boxes theory of gender-specific behavior. THAT surpasses Freud et al. Only "Mars vs Venus" comes close. He illustrated the fragility of the human experience in all its comedic nobility. RIP

I met him when I worked a regional theatre where he was performing on our first Comedy Festival. Tiny in stature, quite shy, polite, demanded nothing. I respect that. He was way ahead of his time.

I’ve always been a big Carlin fan. Yes he was undoubtedly a democrat. He like to poke at the elite, mostly republican, religious types. Heck when I was younger my ideals tended to be more left. Growing older and living in reality changed me AnyWays I don’t think he was a nutcase progressive/regressive like the democrat party has evolved into. His bit on saving the planet is worth a viewing if anyone here has eight minutes to spare. https://youtu.be/7W33HRc1A6c

The ease with which insane leftists confidently, albeit horrendously and erroneously, go through life is something worthy of a larger study. How can self-confidence and attachment to reality be so far removed? It is simply a marvel. Nina Jankowicz, suddenly a young woman with frightening authority in the United States, has been tasked with leading this new ministry. Who is she? Well, among other things, Jankowicz has produced a series of cringy and humiliating videos, replete with off-tune singing, exaggerated facial expressions, and lyrics that would make Joseph Stalin blush under that Siberian mustache.

If Hillary Clinton deserves to be locked up, then Joe Biden deserves to be retired to a long-term care facility. What other human being would still be in charge of his own house, let alone an entire nation? I feel no pity for Joe, who spent his entire life chasing money and power, and has now been reduced to a soulless tool of the globalist machine. Instead of pity, I feel outrage. I am livid that my countrymen voted for this demented fool. Put differently, didn’t vote for Trump, thus enabling his victory all the same. Was it worth it?

Aside from unique circumstances in their childhood, they are people like anyone else leading lives interesting only to themselves. For my money, only Barron Trump’s suborbit height is worth following. Politically, however, it’s worth pointing out that far-left dad Barack and America-hating mom Michelle raised two girls who got quite accustomed to wealth, luxury, privilege, and elitism. Now, as the latter recently shared on Ellen, both are quite content remaining secure in the upper echelon of society’s wealthy influencers. Peons need not apply.

Stephen A. Smith is someone with whom sane people rarely agree. He is loud, obnoxious, and intentionally controversial. Rational dialogue doesn’t get clicks, and credit to him for carving out a niche where people love to hate him. Just weeks before the 2020 election, the FBI announced that it had thwarted an attempt by rightwing terrorists to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer, the governor of Michigan. At the time, Whitmer was taking intense criticism for her draconian handling of the COVID pandemic. The FBI arrested Daniel Harris, Brandon Caserta, Adam Fox, Barry Croft, Kaleb Franks, and Ty Garbin. The case was a propaganda bonanza for the left in general, and Whitmer in particular – who blamed the inflammatory language of Donald Trump for inspiring the would-be kidnappers.
