“They Thought People Would Pay For CNN”:
CNN+ Is A Hilarious Failure

It’s not a shock to you or me that CNN+ is crashing and burning. We could have told the CNN bosses this idea wouldn’t work… and we could have told Chris Wallace that his move to CNN+ would be an epic disaster. Axios is reporting that investment and projections for CNN+ are expected to be cut dramatically in response to a low adoption rate, two sources tell Axios.

Once upon a time in a land far, far away, CNN was actually a news channel. You should have been there....

I wouldn't watch Chris Wallace for free on Fox News. I haven't watched CNN for years. Even at the airport, I took a seat as far away from the TVs as possible. Why would I pay for what I wouldn't watch for free? Absolute lunacy. If the new owners are smart, they'll cut their losses and pull the plug.

When I first heard about CNN+ I thought why would anybody pay for CNN stuff? They were already in the dumpster ratings-wise. I also wonder what the heck they are teaching about marketing these days.

I read yesterday they only have 10,000 subscribers - and they thought they would have a million the first year, and around 12 million by the fourth year. Whoever came up with those numbers should be the first to be fired.

#2, before covid I used to travel a lot for my business and I noticed that, even in airports, no one was watching CNN. Everyone was engrossed in a phone, tablet or laptop. CNN got ratings for viewers who were ignoring the network completely.

I'll bet the person or persons that came up with the idea of paying to watch CNN isn't fired. The network would just lose another viewer.

Forgot to add…”apologize for partisanship, and running fake stories, and promise to do better.” Great advice but it won’t happen. The NY Slimes made the same promise after the 2016 election and look how that turned out.

There are too many streaming services and there are only 24 hours a day. I don't subscribe to any streaming services. Plenty of ways to get news that is free. I knew this CNN+ would be a failure. Poor Chris! Not what does he do? Retire to Florida and play golf?

FOX ran and then reran several times a "report" by Chris Wallace about an upscale turkey farm and the owner who was once fired by Steve Jobs early in her business career. That is the only work by Wallace I ever thought was good and likeable.

People are already paying for CNN. It's on cable TV isn't it? Well, cable costs money, not free like regular TV, which NBC, CBS and ABC are. Does CNN+ have different content or is it more of the same propaganda from the left?

quite common in business - new ventures are started by business plans not based on any test marketing. rather, slick-meisters reverse engineer business plans by starting with the top level numbers needed to show profitability and then simply back out the details need to add up to those pie in the sky numbers. use nice charts too.

Just weeks before the 2020 election, the FBI announced that it had thwarted an attempt by rightwing terrorists to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer, the governor of Michigan. At the time, Whitmer was taking intense criticism for her draconian handling of the COVID pandemic. The FBI arrested Daniel Harris, Brandon Caserta, Adam Fox, Barry Croft, Kaleb Franks, and Ty Garbin. The case was a propaganda bonanza for the left in general, and Whitmer in particular – who blamed the inflammatory language of Donald Trump for inspiring the would-be kidnappers.

Financial markets are averse to threats of chaos and death. These conditions tend to interfere with formal promises between parties to service loans, which is the basis of finance. Time, they say, is nature’s way of making sure that everything doesn’t happen at once. If that’s so, then maybe time has stopped because all of a sudden everything seems to be happening at once. Three things, actually: 1) a Russian military operation in Ukraine that a lot of people in America want to turn into World War Three; 2) an epic crack-up of the world financial system; and 3)

"I’ve read most of everything he’s written," President Biden said of Russian President Vladimir Putin last month. "He has much larger ambitions in Ukraine. He wants to, in fact, reestablish the former Soviet Union. That’s what this is about." Many experts believe that Biden is right. In an often cited and perhaps highly revealing comment years ago, Putin said that he believed the fall of the Soviet Union was the greatest geopolitical tragedy of the 20th century. Putin currently has his hands full with a stronger-than-expected resistance to his war on Ukraine – including at home – though his massive military is expected to eventually prevail.

The New York Times published an op-ed Friday that proposes eliminating belief in God — as one of the holiest weekends of the year begins. Titled “In This Time of War, I Propose We Give Up God,” the article claims that God is responsible for “war and violence” and for “oppression and suffering,” and suggests that people stop teaching children about Him. Author Shalom Auslander, who is disillusioned about his upbringing in a religious Jewish community in New York, argues (original emphasis): God, it seems, paints with a wide brush. He paints with a roller. In Egypt, said our rabbi, he even killed first-born cattle.
