Jack’s magic coffee shop posted their latest financial results today. As suspected, the social media company Twitter said revenue for the first quarter totaled $1.2 billion (+16%). However, costs and expenses totaled $1.33 billion (+35%), resulting in an operating loss of $128 million. (link) Another unsustainable result for a company that doesn’t make a profit yet continues to operate. I digress…

FTA: The metaphorical Jack had a great idea, open a coffee shop where the beverages were free and use internal advertising as the income subsidy to operate the business. Crowds came for the free coffee, comfy couches, fellowship, conversation and enjoyment. This is an article that must be read. Sundance comes up with a point that is difficult to ignore.

Try this on. From an earlier article by Sundance: Twitter is not a platform built around a website; Twitter is a platform for comments and discussion that operates in the sphere of social media. As a consequence, the technology and data processing required to operate the platform does not have an economy of scale. There is no business model where Twitter is financially viable to operate…. UNLESS the tech architecture under the platform was subsidized. In my opinion, there is only one technological system and entity that could possibly underwrite the cost of Twitter to operate. That entity is the United States Government, and here’s why. https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2022/04/14/elon-musk-make-a-massive-proposal-offers-to-purchase-twitter-for-41-billion-with-plan-to-take-company-private/

This sounds like a money laundering operation. Need some revenue? Call your amigo in the cartel and have him "purchase sime advertising." Voila, some of that human trafficking money converted to "revenue" and debited to a business checking account at Wells Fargo. Payroll checks going out to coyotes. They'll get a W2 and all looks legit. Nothing to go through FINCEN.

They've had it in place now for several years. That implies it's already too late to stop them, since they've had windows into the private lives of everyone who might stand in their way and know where all the skeletons are buried. I've long thought that explains why so many ostensibly strong conservatives, like Jeff Sessions and Mike Pence, suddenly became weak little doormats when they had the chance to stop the many fraudulent attacks against Trump.

Yes, it should be a must read. If this is true and Twitter is actually and entity of the United States, they violated the first amendment right of free speech by banning certain individuals and even a newspaper (NY Post). The first time I saw Dorsey I knew there was no way he created Twitter, he just not that smart. This is CIA/FBI/Homeland Security driven.

At least he says "repost warning" before he begins. I wonder how many besides myself read right past that without pausing to consider what it meant in the context of this article. Sundance cites long passages of material from ... previous Sundance articles, it seems. The citations give the first impression of collaborative research. Isn't that kind of like reporting allegations that "sources believe...", when your own suspicion is the so-called source?

Nothing new here folks. The New York Times has operated this way since at least the Clinton years. Do you think subscribers and advertisers actually pay them enough to stay above water? The WaPo was going broke before Bezos came to the rescue. Zuckerberg is a natural nerd sellout and Bill Gates has opened the MS code to the government for years. If private virus creators can get into your computer on a low budget operation, imagine what the government can do when they already have a skeleton key.

The claims that the 2020 Presidential election was wrought with fraud and abuse have been sung from every mountain top in the land, and by every conservative politician or public figure of note. Conversely, claims that it was the most secure election in the history of Presidential politics have been spoken on every liberal street corner and by every mainstream media personality in the country. The American public has become tired of both sides, having been beaten down by the rights claim of a “rigged” election, and weary of the lefts claim that this was a white glove tested, perfectly executed demonstration of democracy in action.

Geoff Morrell, the chief corporate affairs officer for Disney, who helped crafted the embattled company’s response to Florida’s Parental Rights in Education law, has resigned to “pursue other opportunities” after just three months. The one-time George W. Bush Pentagon spokesman joined Disney only three months ago to head up the company’s global communications dept. — which included overseeing Disney’s government relations and public policy. But on Friday, Morrell released a statement telling the company that he was stepping away, saying, “After three months in this new role, it has become clear to me that for a number of reasons it is not the right fit,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.

CNN political commentator Van Jones was very blunt Friday, asserting that the day-to-day lives of black Americans have worsened under the lack of leadership by President Joe Biden and claimed that Democrats have “overpromised, underdelivered so far.” Van Jones appeared on CNN’s “New Day” with co-host John Berman. He tore into Biden and fellow Democrats over cratering poll numbers, especially among black voters. A Gallup poll this month showed Biden’s approval rating among black Americans optimistically standing at 67 percent. The kicker is that number has dropped a shocking 20 percent since he took office.

WASHINGTON — Citing growing worries about high gasoline prices, Democratic leaders announced an effort Thursday to give the Federal Trade Commission increased authority to crack down on companies that engage in price gouging. In doing so, they downplayed the possibility of other options such as a federal gas tax holiday or offering oil companies more government incentives to increase production. Instead, they said the FTC needs more tools, including stiffer fines and penalties and a team of dedicated experts to monitor markets and go after price gouging. When Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas recently unveiled his “six pillar plan” for dealing with the crisis on our southern border, he certainly didn’t mention this truly awful idea. During his recent testimony before Congress, Mayorkas slipped in one option that Joe Biden is reportedly considering. In order to provide better care for the tens of thousands of illegal aliens streaming across the border, the White House is looking at the possibility of diverting funding from the Veterans Administration for that situation. Additionally, some of the doctors and nurses tasked with caring for our veterans could be reassigned to providing care for the illegals.
