Washington Post Editorial Board Hails
Biden As 'Tremendous Upgrade' From Trump

Original Article

Posted By: cThree, 4/27/2022 9:16:56 AM

The Washington Post on Tuesday praised President Joe Biden for restoring what it described as “a sense of dignity” to the presidential pardon process. In an editorial, the newspaper offered a damning contrast between Biden’s “care in determining who should benefit from clemency” to former President Donald Trump, who doled out pardons to “personal associates convicted of or on trial for serious offenses,” those with White House connections or people who had celebrity advocates.

Comments:

A little comic relief from the WaPost to lighten your day. They can't help themselves. Go Bozos. The editorial itself is behind a paywall, of course.

Gee, when did the Washington Post hire away those writers from "The Onion." I'm guessing it probably was a Washington Post reporter who asked Mrs. Lincoln back in April 1865, "Well, outside of that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?"

Seeing a broken old man dithering around lost on the world stage is about as undignified as it can get. Joe humiliates himself and the nation every time he's in public and it only gets worse every day. The propaganda is so thick. The Soviet Pravda editors are embarrassed for the Besoz Post.

A sense of dignity????? How dignified was it when Dementia Joe crapped his Depends in front of the Pope??? How dignified was it when he pharted loudly in front of Royalty?? Is it "dignity" when the alleged leader of the free world sniffs and gropes ladies and little kids and gets bossed around by the Easter Bunny??? I don't think that word means what you think it means!!

The Supreme Court sided with a Republican candidate who lost his bid for judgeship in Pennsylvania, ordering the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to toss out its ruling that allowed the counting of mail-in ballots in the race. (Snip) The decision to remand the case does not affect the outcome of the 2021 race. If you’re trying to understand why Democrats are making a comeback in polls despite President Biden’s many failures, look no further than the political firestorm over the crisis at the southern border. The battle offers a case study of how the media shapes public opinion by magnifying left-wing talking points, ignoring key facts and distorting conservative criticism. (Snip) Given the scope of the disaster his policies created, trying to make the GOP governors the villains of the piece seemed like a fantasy. But then the media came to the president’s rescue.

Federal prosecutors said Monday they have declined to bring charges against nine people associated with CBS’ “Late Show with Stephen Colbert” who were arrested in a building in the U.S. Capitol complex last month. The decision, made by the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington, comes after prosecutors determined they “cannot move forward” with the misdemeanor charges against the nine people arrested June 16 in the Longworth House Office Building. The incident followed the third public hearing by the House panel investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol insurrection.

Five years ago, Rep. Mo Brooks saw a unique opportunity to become a U.S. senator. Jeff Sessions had just left Capitol Hill to become the attorney general, and the Alabama congressman was ready for a promotion. He even thought he could receive support from Donald Trump — the incumbent president to whom Brooks had offered unconditional support. That didn’t work out. In the 2017 special election, Trump brushed off the Republican lawmaker and threw his support behind Luther Strange, who ended up losing to Roy Moore in a GOP primary.

The very short answer, as revealed in this story published yesterday by the NY Times, is politics. The attempt to build the first bullet train in the US between San Francisco and Los Angeles almost immediately turned into a boondoggle thanks to decisions that made no sense in terms of efficiency or ridership but only in terms of satisfying powerful politicians. The design for the nation’s most ambitious infrastructure project was never based on the easiest or most direct route. Instead, the train’s path out of Los Angeles was diverted across a second mountain range to the rapidly growing suburbs of the Mojave Desert
