First Lady Kamala Harris on Monday marked the celebration of Indigenous Peoples’ Day on social media, but she ignored Columbus Day.
“On Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we pay respect to Tribal Nations and indigenous history,” Harris wrote on social media. “Today and every day, let us continue to celebrate and uplift the rich contributions of Indigenous peoples — their leadership has made our country stronger.”
At the time of publication, the vice president did not post anything on social media about Columbus Day, as most leftists typically condemn the holiday as racist:

It's Columbus Day. We honor a man that risked his life to prove a scientific theory as fact ( the world is indeed round )...... and in pursuit of capitalism, a route to India for spices. Having thought that he sailed to India is why we call Indians Indians. We celebrate his courage. The woke/PC left are nuts , but you knew that.

I’d love to see her be forced to live like indigenous people, as they did in the 15th century, for a year. The dumb squaw!
Come to think of it, she couldn’t survive living like Europeans as they did in the 15th century.

Ah, yes. The orb revolves and again we celebrate the Indigs, the proper name for those misidentified by late 15th Century geographers and, hence, Cristoforo (The Admiral of the Ocean Sea), himself. In truth, he found the IndigNation. And so it proceeds with the eager, drooling aid of the Press Corpse.

To condemn Columbus Day as racist is narrow-minded and hypocritical. Every race of humans has engaged in inter-tribal fights over territory and power. And the people who Columbus found to be here were not indigenous, either. Even the "ancient" tribal people came here from somebody else or descended from somebody who did, either across the Ice Age land bridge from Asia, or in some form of watercraft (from Asia, Africa, or Europe).

Unfortunately, the people democrats 'celebrate' are indigenous to other areas of the world. Not the USA.

Not to be overly nasty, but when Colombia discovered America there were no wheels, metal tools, no written language, no nothing but indigenous people living sorta like cavemen. My guess is if we had not discovered America until last year it would have looked the same then as it did back then. Conquest has been one of mankind’s most consistent traits since Adam & Eve. It is not unique to Europeans for sure.

If Columbus or another European explorer hadn’t reached America it is possible that another explorer from an advanced culture, perhaps China or Japan, would have reached the New World first.
In that case Kamala wouldn’t exist since her ancestors were from Africa and India. Her parents only met each other because both were part of the melting pot that is the result of European colonization.
The indigenous peoples were doomed since their cultures were thousands of years behind the higher civilizations that would ultimately have discovered the New World.
