Why the left went after sports

The Cleveland Indians are the most exciting team in baseball. They have 10 rookies on their 26-man roster. Six others were rookies last year. They play small ball and win. They are managed by Tito Francona Jr., a grandpa who led the Boston Red Sox in 2004 to their first World Series championship in 86 years. Fans in Cleveland shun the Cleveland Indians this year. That's because the team is not the Cleveland Indians. Management caved in to Woke Know Nothings and changed the name to Guardians this year. Attendance was 25th among the 30 major league teams.

Forget the woke leftists. The question is why are sports franchises and big business acquiescing to the woke? The tyranny of the minority around the world is obviously very powerful and more powerful than most of us believe. They've infiltrated and established themselves in positions of power, and they're changing our entire world. America, the last bastion of freedom, has to be conquered and destroyed in order for the world to fall apart. That's happening now, and it's at an accelerated pace; we're losing our country piecemeal every day, and the rest of the world is not faring much better. The one world government is making its move. Things will be so bad that people will fall in line and accept their takeover, or we'll simply be powerless to defend against them. It's bad.

One of my favorite t-shirts is a Cleveland Indians copy that, instead of an Indian, has a white guy with blonde hair (wearing a big grin like the Indian) that states, “Caucasians” that replicates the original design. It was initially designed to troll white people but backfired (politically), because white people would LOVE to have a “Caucasian” team logo. The tee became a bestseller, so it was a win-win for the designer.

Qs a resident of western pennsylvania in the 1940s, I was a fan of the Cleveland Indians. And as I understand the folklore surrounding the team name, Cleveland, 120 years ago was named the Spiders. Then along came a Cleveland player who was highly skilled, and they renamed the team the Indians, because that player was one. (The Cleveland football team was named the Browns after their coach, Paul Brown.) Baseball used to be important to me and other little boys, because we all believed, deep down inside, that we could be major league baseball players. After all, major league players were not genetic freaks, or huge - they looked like our dads. Those days are gone. The truth is out. My baseball career ended at about age 15. I batted against an 18 year old junior legion pitcher, David Wickersham from the Erie, Pa area, who went on to play 10 years of major league ball as a pitcher. I had two at bats, grounded out and flied out, proud that he didn't wipe me out.)(knowing when ro quit is a positive personal characteristic.)

I suspect more than a few empty seats are creditable to the labor issues MLB faced this Spring, and the usual whine about the overpaid ballplayers and the cost to attend a game in person. How many proudly posted they would never attend another MLB game for this or that reason. I don't recall one pointing to the re-naming of the team, which was indeed stupid and petty. I suspect another reason might be downtown crime there days. Not to mention several early season rainouts.

I saw a number of Cleveland fans wearing Cleveland Indians jerseys at a game on the MLB network when that network was showing replays of a game. The Guardians just doesn't make any sense. I understand that there was a Cleveland team named the Guardians years ago, but whenever I see the uniforms, it just doesn't look right to me. My wife is Mescalero Apache. Born on the reservation. We live next door (really the same town) in Ruidosso NM. Our school teams (which are majority Apache, mind you) were the “Braves” and the “Warriors” and various iterations of the same depending if middle school or HS. The Apache used a rip off of the Washington Redskin logo for decades. Either in, or just lost, the Apache-dominated school district was in a lawsuit with the white elite liberals in Sante Fe who have taken over our state bc the whites say the Apache are racist against indigenous New Mexicans. (The Zuni and other big tribes are welfare queens and just thank the Great White Masters for their crumbs. Apache had a ski lodge, casino, and are very active oil and had industry— if Biden hadn’t shut it all down like an idiot. Thousands of sections in the Permian Basin.!) Anyway, we’re still selling the old stuff locally. We don’t care. As an aside, sounds like the “Cleveland Indians”’is an abandoned trade name. Go make shirts and sell them. The reason why the left went after sports is because they were that loser who got hit in the face with the dodgeball during high school gym class then dumped in the locker room full trash can or stuffed in a locker. They were the very last to be picked for any team as a kid and were left hiding during hide and seek.. Also because they basically have the athletic ability of a slug. So now being woke pin headed adults we get ridiculous team names like the Washington Commanders of the Army and the Cleveland Guardians of the Galaxy.

The Left went after sports because it is the most glaringly obvious example of the direct connection between hard work and success. You don't have to be the smartest. You don't even have to be the most talented. If you put in the time, even in the off season, to work constantly toward excellence in your position, you WILL do better than those who do not. Period. And it applies to every job and profession. Sports shines a flood light on the lies of the entire woke equity critical-race excuse-for-failure industry.

Researchers with Boston University have developed a strain of COVID-19 that killed 80 percent of mice infected with it, according to a preprint study released last week, prompting concern and condemnation. The team of researchers extracted the Omicron variant’s spike protein, which they noted has “an unusually large number of mutations.” The researchers then attached Omicron’s spike protein, which is a structure that allows a virus to bind and invade human cells, to the original Wuhan COVID-19 variant that reportedly emerged in late 2019. They dubbed it “Omicron S.”
