Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., is America's most unpopular senator, according to a Morning Consult poll released Monday. Just one-third of Kentuckians, 33%, approve of McConnell's job performance, while 60% disapprove.
The most popular U.S. senator is South Dakota Republican Sen. John Thune, who has a 62% approval rating with a 28% disapproval rating, the poll showed.
Sen. Joe Manchin, D-W.Va., showed the largest approval increase, despite facing harsh criticism from fellow Democrats over his moderate views.

We already knew that yesterday was a tough day for some Twitter employees. Today Politico reveals that the lawyer who heads Twitter’s trust and safety team started crying when talking about what might be coming next for the site.
Shortly after billionaire Elon Musk bought the powerful social media platform, top Twitter lawyer Vijaya Gadde called a virtual meeting with the policy and legal teams she oversees to discuss what the new ownership could mean for them.
Gadde cried during the meeting as she expressed concerns about how the company could change, according to three people familiar with the meeting.

Barack Obama recently took to the stage at Stanford University to lecture an audience on the perils of disinformation. But it was Obama himself who used the occasion to spread lies and misinformation. This shouldn’t come as any surprise. In 2013, PolitiFact awarded Obama its Lie of the Year award for repeatedly promising the American people that “if you like your health care plan, you can keep it.” (snip) Would-be totalitarians like Obama don’t want to prevent the flooding of the public square with raw sewage. They want the exclusive ability to flood the public square with sewage and prevent its cleanup.

Former NFL football player and philanthropist Jack Brewer is demanding MSNBC host Joy Reid apologize for her tweet claiming a photo of young Black boys attending an event where Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed an anti-critical race theory bill "is tantamount to child abuse." Brewer explained the boys in the photo are students of his education and mentorship programs and were well aware of why they were attending the event.
"Joy Reid messed with the wrong boys," Brewer told Fox News Digital on Monday, adding that he has also retained legal counsel about a potential defamation suit.

Uber's decision to waive delivery fees from black-owned restaurants during the George Floyd riots could cost the company $91 million.
A New York appeals court ruled this week that the ride-share giant must pay the costs to the American Arbitration Association (AAA), which is handling 31,000 claims against the race-based promotion, which users say violated civil rights law.
Uber's terms of use provide that disputes with the company will be settled in arbitration administered by the AAA. The conservative litigation boutique Consovoy McCarthy PLLC under that provision filed demands against the company on behalf of thousands of customers.

Legacy media outlets were quick to condone the exposure of the woman behind “Libs of Tik Tok.” What they didn’t mention was exactly what the educators, who got fired after the account posted their videos, were saying to children in their classrooms.
The Washington Post’s Taylor Lorenz revealed the identity of the individual behind the “Libs of Tik Tok” account in an article published Tuesday. The article accuses “Libs of Tik Tok” of spreading “anti-LGBTQ+ sentiment” by causing teachers to lose their jobs over their own social media posts, although the article omits mention of the exact quotes that got the teachers fired.

Florida lawmakers voted to end the Walt Disney Company’s special, self-government privileges, which it never should have received. Since 1967, Disney has operated its own mini-state, surrounded by Florida — much as the Vatican is encircled by Rome. (snip) Disney’s hypocrisy is more towering than Space Mountain. While it fights this new law as an alleged cornerstone of homophobia, Disney is delighted to conduct business in lethally homophobic countries.
Disney Cruise Lines’ ships sail into Dominica and Antigua, where glamorous onshore activities await. These Caribbean islands punish gay sex with maximum 10- and 15-year prison terms, respectively.

Veteran news anchor Chris Wallace broke his silence about the abrupt collapse of the CNN+ streaming service – revealing his future role at the left-leaning network is unclear once the platform is shuttered.
Wallace’s interview show, “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?” is one of several programs that will cease airing when CNN+ officially shuts down on Saturday – roughly one month after the doomed service debuted to great internal fanfare. When asked about his future during a live-streamed event hosted by the Common Ground Committee on Sunday night, Wallace acknowledged that he doesn’t yet have any news to share.

A little over a decade ago, two researchers at Wharton published a paper showing that, despite women’s increasing work and educational opportunities, their self-reported happiness was in steady decline. Back in 1970, women were on average happier than men; they are now less happy than men.
Broadly, since 1970, everyone has gotten more miserable. But the decline in women’s overall happiness has outpaced men’s, and the happiness curve inverted sometime in the early 1990s. The paper also documents increasing anxiety and neuroticism, as well as decreasing social cohesion among women.

As a young adult, Hunt chose to become a sex worker while she studied at the University of Richmond where she earned a degree in psychology and now has her eyes set on Congress. She also wants everyone to know that she never regretted her abortion.

In the ongoing public battle over Twitter as a speech platform, one actual user of Twitter, Chris Bakke, wanted to see who exactly these Board of Directors are, who are attempting to stop Elon Musk from purchasing it.
Chris Bakke then noted how little of the actual stock is owned by the company’s Board of Directors. Sans Twitter Founder Jack Dorsey, the combined ownership of the entire board equates to 77 shares of stock, worth around $3,200 bucks.
