Florida lawmakers voted to end the Walt Disney Company’s special, self-government privileges, which it never should have received. Since 1967, Disney has operated its own mini-state, surrounded by Florida — much as the Vatican is encircled by Rome. (snip) Disney’s hypocrisy is more towering than Space Mountain. While it fights this new law as an alleged cornerstone of homophobia, Disney is delighted to conduct business in lethally homophobic countries.
Disney Cruise Lines’ ships sail into Dominica and Antigua, where glamorous onshore activities await. These Caribbean islands punish gay sex with maximum 10- and 15-year prison terms, respectively.

"Makes money" is their highest goal, as with most companies. Beyond that they care not one bit about the good of the nation, and in fact will actively subvert it if somehow they can make even more money doing so. Disney is a big cheerleader for H1B visas, which they used to fire their American IT staff and replace them with people imported from India whose only reason for being here is that they work for less. Disney then is free to crow about how many non-White employees they have, as a commitment to Diversity.

Disney is finding out the hard way that woke=broke. They've picked a rather peculiar hill to die on, especially in light of all the countries they do business in that reward homosexuality with death. Disney's imbecile CEO Bob Chapek, who got down on his knees and begged the LGBTQ staff for forgiveness for not opposing HB 1557, must be already shooting another apology for not criticizing the homophobic policies of Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Morocco, Oman, the Palestinian Authority, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia and Yemen. He'd be burned in effigy if he did.

Initially, I feared if the law was passed disney might leave FL, leaving a lot of people out of work. Then I REMEMBERED back a couple of years when disney fired HUNDREDS of American employees, gave them like 2 months' notice, & told them they HAD to train their replacement or they would not get their paltry severance. All those replacements were from India - all H1B visa holders. So I hope disney IS having a touch time of it & their stock continued to drop. The CEO shoulda kept his trap shut.

The woke companies will bend over for the gendercrap-outlawing countries; but they won't dare cross the alphabet-soup-activists in the Western world, because that demographic seems to wield a disposable income that is disproportionate to their population. Not many "extra mouths to feed" ...

Deroy Murdock had the articlespot on until the end when he discussed hoe Disney CEO Chapek (and others) were forced to waive the white flag of surrender to the LGBTQ mob. No, they were forced to raise the rainbow flag of surrender ( or pastel Trans flag) to help appease the LGBTQ activist mob.
