A suspect was charged early Thursday with the brutal slaying of Queens mom Orsolya Gaal — with multiple sources telling The Post he was her handyman ex-lover. David Bonola, 44, was taken into custody and charged with murder, criminal tampering and criminal possession of a weapon over the brutal weekend stabbing, the NYPD confirmed early Thursday. Multiple sources told The Post that Bonola was the handyman thought to have also been Gaal’s lover — and that he gave a full confession after his arrest.

The article says Bonola has no prior arrests. Nor does the article mention the eMail from a supposed killer who had just got out of jail claiming revenge. The eMail was fake news?

"Thought to be" her lover -- such great reporting, maybe there's other gossip they can splash across the headlines before a trial begins. And if it turns out he was not her lover but rather a stalker who became obsessed with her, I hope her husband and sons sue the press for slander.

Guatemalan. In the country illegally? The article doesn’t say. If so, why? Death penalty should be automatic for homicides of American citizens by people in the country illegally. Period. And if he’s illegal how do they know he’s never been charged with a felony?

I once sat on a Grand Jury and heard over 350 cases, many of which were heartbreaking in their senseless brutality. I spent many a night wondering just how a bit more apprehension (or parental upbringing) might have saved a victim's life. We might never know why Orsolya threw caution to the wind and did the "hookup" thing, only to be stuffed into a duffle bag and left on the street for trash pickup. For a little "fun" she forfeit seeing her boys graduate college, get married, and start families of their own. No marriage can be so 'bad' as to risk that.

RE #6. Sat on a county grand jury. Heard about 30-40 cases. Three homicides. All were alcohol fueled. So were a number of other cases. Now I wonder what role drugs and alcohol played in this murder. So many people cannot handle alcohol. I would say ban it (I don't drink), but it never worked in the past (prohibition failed), and it wouldn't work now.

Where was this lady’s husband during the years that the lady was doing the nasty with that Mexican guy? As if he had been paying appropriate attention to his wife, she would not have had a motive to become intimate with a so-called “domestic handyman”. Chances are 50-50 these days that the Mexican guy is an illegal alien? Apparently the local police did not apprehend the guy, he simply walked into a police precinct house and confessed to the murder. You have to wonder in New York City how long he will remain in custody, and if he will be released without having to post bond?

I do not necessarily believe that the killer was her lover. It could be gossip and hearsay. Someone has to be a psychopath to kill someone in such a brutal way and if that is what he told the police, I would be very skeptical until some proof or valid evidence was uncovered.

David Bonola, the handyman arrested in the grisly murder of Queens mother Orsolya Gaal, had been living in the United States in violation of immigration law when he was arrested, law enforcement sources confirmed to Fox News Digital on Friday. Bonola moved to the United States from Mexico 21 years ago, police officials said Thursday. They would not comment regarding the 44-year-old's immigration status at the time. But two law enforcement sources with knowledge of the matter told Fox News Digital that Bonola was in the country in violation of immigration law. Details of whether he entered the U.S. legally were not immediately available.

Prices that consumers pay on everyday items surged in March to their highest levels since the early days of the Reagan administration, according to Labor Department data released Tuesday. The consumer price index, which measures a wide-ranging basket of goods and services, jumped 8.5% from a year ago on an unadjusted basis, above even the already elevated Dow Jones estimate for 8.4%. Excluding food and energy, the CPI increased 6.5%, in line with the expectation. The data reflected price increases not seen in the U.S. since the stagflation days of the late 1970s and early ’80s.

Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, who President Biden nominated to the Supreme Court to become the first ever Black female justice, admitted Tuesday that she could not recall the basis for the infamous Dred Scott decision, which in 1857 said that a Black person whose ancestors had been slaves could not be an American citizen. The case came up during Jackson’s confirmation hearing on Tuesday, when she faced questioning from Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas. Cornyn brought up the concept of substantive due process, a legal doctrine utilized to expand the Constitution’s due process clause to protect various rights not enumerated in the Constitution.

President Joe Biden will nominate federal Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson on Friday to replace Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, which would make her the first black woman on the high court's bench should she be confirmed by the Senate. Breyer announced his retirement last month after 28 years on the Supreme Court, effective when the current term ends this summer. That paved the way for Biden to fulfill his 2020 campaign promise of nominating a black woman as a Supreme Court justice.

An effective and more affordable treatment for lung cancer may not gain approval after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) complained about the lack of black people in its clinical trial, with a top FDA cancer official repeatedly noting in a meeting that it is Black History Month. Eli Lilly and a Chinese partner called Innovent believe the drug, known as Tyvyt or sintilimab, could extend the lives of those suffering with late-stage non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), and be more affordable than other treatments. The clinical trial patients were Asian because the trial was conducted in China.

A Manhattan judge on Monday said he will toss out Sarah Palin’s libel lawsuit against the New York Times over an editorial that falsely linked her to a mass shooting — but he didn’t exactly side with the Gray Lady. The former Alaska governor sued The Times – and the newspaper’s former editorial page editor, James Bennet – in 2017 after the paper published an editorial under the headline “America’s Lethal Politics.” But Manhattan federal court Judge Jed Rakoff said Monday he would dismiss the complaint when the jury returns a verdict because Palin had not met the high standard of “actual malice” in the complaint.

The Trafalgar Group is very accurate in its polling. It found 55.7% of voters prefer a Republican candidate in the upcoming congressional races. 42.2% prefer a Democrat. Let me put that in perspective. Remember the 2010 congressional races when the Tea Party flipped 63 seats for Republicans, which gave them their largest majority in decades? Republicans received 51.7% of the votes overall. Democrats got 44.9%. That was a 6.8-point gap. This is a 13.5-point gap.

Minnesota has removed race as a preferential factor for determining which COVID-19 patients should receive scarce monoclonal antibodies, which are outpatient infusions that reduce the risk of severe illness and hospitalization. Updated rationing guidance on Wednesday prioritizes infusions when they are in short supply for people who are immunocompromised or pregnant. It also gives preference to people who are older or have underlying conditions that increase their risk for severe COVID-19, but it switched to a scoring system that no longer considers race.

McAuliffe receives 45 percent to Youngkin’s 53 percent in a new Fox News survey of Virginia likely voters. Youngkin’s eight-point advantage is outside the poll’s margin of sampling error. That’s a big shift from two weeks ago, when McAuliffe was ahead by five, 51-46 percent. Among the larger pool of registered voters, it’s a one-point race: McAuliffe 47 percent vs. Youngkin 48 percent. Two weeks ago, McAuliffe led among registered voters by 11 points, 52-41 percent.
