The war in Ukraine is a tragedy to watch. Whether or not like Sean Penn, who claims he’s thinking of taking arms to fight Russia, or like most of the corporate media you are rooting for Ukraine and demonizing Russia, you have to admire Ukrainian pluck. You also have to be astonished at the poor performance of the Russian military, who apparently lost their flagship missile cruiser Moskva in the Black Sea either by missile strike (U.S. claim) or accidental fire (Russian claim). I grieve for the suffering of those displaced by the war and the loss of life.

To put another knot in this rabbitt hole, Elon Musk has been a buddy and fledging member of Klaus Schwabs little mud hole WEF since 2008, along with other world thinkers like Trudeau DiCaprio.

If in fact the federal government or for that matter any governmental entity within the United States is subsidizing Twitter the argument that they can censor because they are a private business and not the government is mute. In this case both Twitter and the government are blatantly violating the first amendment. I am anxiously awaiting to see some actual evidence of this. In addition, as a publicly traded entity all financial statements have to be available to the shareholders. These statements should show all income sources. If they are hiding this then they are also guilty of tax fraud. Has the IRS done audits on Twitter? I am not a financial expert of any kind and may be incorrect with my thoughts. But?

communists only fight against other communists to gain political and societal power against them and if anyone thinks Penn is doing this for the good of mankind, they were born either under a rock of last night - he's a commie sympathizer and is only exposing himself in this way to advance his agenda, whatever it might be but it's probably not good for the Ukrainians

Clarice, perhaps writing two articles would have been better. The first should have been limited to the Ukraine tragedy and the other to Elon's attempt to buy tweeter. IMO, giving Ukraine one paragraph then pivoting with lots of text describing Musk's attempt to buy tweeter makes the loss of life in Ukraine look cheap.

As usual, this perceptive lady is spot-on. Obama is the secret benefactor in the woodpile for Big Tech. It was too difficult to hide the lines of Google executives, Gates, Zuckerberg and others frequent visits to the White House during his well-funded and illegal attempts to change this country. She is correct about the economics because advertising alone can not be supporting these behemoths. The government also supports the Washington Post and the New York Times because nobody buys their weekly rantings and many of their "scoops" are leaks directly from the White House and its supporting tentacles. CNN could no longer hide their pathetic viewership but found it difficult to block our access to the ratings but these others can. They were all anti-Trump during four years of endless impeachment attempts. Conservatives were systematically blocked as users. We have a fully supported propaganda arm, paid for by the American taxpayers and used to create an alternate version of the truth for them. It's not only the First Amendment that is the target, it is the entire Constitution. That is our payback for allowing a foreign entity to be awarded the presidency of the United States and for allowing an extremist bunch of radicals to steal the 2020 election. Prepare for much more of the same in the coming years unless we find the courage to attack the Death Star directly.

If the US government is subsidizing Twitter, that is the dictionary definition of fascism. Benito Mussolini, the twentieth century's most enthusiastic fascist, stated that fascism is the combining of government and corporate power.

I knew the George W. Bush story reported by Dan Rather was a lie from the get-go. Because: 1) I was a clerk in the Army Reserve, so I knew how the Reserve/National Guard actually worked. (Don't ask the Regular Army or Air Force; they don't know.) 2) I know what typing done on the typewriters of the time looked like in comparison to some produced by a word processing program (and so should have Dan Rather - he used them enough).

Charles Murray just can’t help himself; he’s been a social scientist and prolific author for almost 40 years, writing books on the American experience and societal issues. Now he is back in the mix with a book, Facing Reality: Two Truths About Race in America (Encounter Books 2021), that follows up on the book he wrote with Richard Hernnstein, The Bell Curve (1994). That magnificent work blew the top off of racial debates in America by its in-depth analysis of racial cognitive ability (IQ) differences and socio-economic mobility of Americans and factors that are associated with success in life.

Fox News has parted company with Laura Logan, the journalist contends, for relaying viewers’ comments that Dr. Anthony Fauci does not represent science, as the Biden adviser has claimed, and instead represents Nazi doctor Josef Mengele. Logan, formerly with CBS News, had in mind the fallout from COVID, but a different context might be more appropriate. Josef Mengele earned a medical degree in 1938, the same year he joined the Nazis’ Waffen SS, where he volunteered for medical service. At Nazi concentration camps, Mengele would decide which arrivals would live or die.

There can be little doubt that former Vice President Mike Pence thought he was doing the right thing. There are certainly many pragmatic reasons for his decision to not intervene in the electoral processes during those fateful days in January 2020. We’re a year and a half into the geriatric Biden regime and those pragmatic reasons are quickly losing their luster. Writing in the foreign policy mouthpiece of the Biden administration and the Democratic Party, The Atlantic, former president Bill Clinton attempts to defend his decision to begin the post–Cold War expansion of NATO by naming the members of his foreign policy team, especially the late Madeleine Albright, who supported this move against the advice of George F. Kennan — who knew more about Russia and its history and culture than all of Clinton's advisers combined.

National Review’s Kevin Williamson is urging conservatives to divorce, or at least, separate, for a time, from the Republican Party -- that is, from the Donald Trump-led Republican Party. In a recent column, Williamson claims that what he calls “sensible conservatives” twenty years ago or so “could take a realistic, instrumental view of the GOP and find it reasonably useful for our ends.” But not today. Not when the Republican Party consists of “vulgar” populists and “infantile” nationalists who loathe free trade, free speech, the U.S. military, and libertarians.

Marin Marais died 60 years before the French Revolution. He composed “Voix des Humaines,” an instrumental trio with a very haunting beginning, that, with hindsight, seems to presage the bloody termination of the French evolution of feudalism. More and more of us today sense the gathering storm of oppression-triggered revolution and some even risk cancellation by speaking loudly about the contradictions of policies that put people above the law in this nation founded on laws, not men.
