Charles Murray’s Wake Up Call on Race Problems

Original Article

Posted By: DW626, 4/16/2022 7:29:48 AM

Charles Murray just can’t help himself; he’s been a social scientist and prolific author for almost 40 years, writing books on the American experience and societal issues. Now he is back in the mix with a book, Facing Reality: Two Truths About Race in America (Encounter Books 2021), that follows up on the book he wrote with Richard Hernnstein, The Bell Curve (1994). That magnificent work blew the top off of racial debates in America by its in-depth analysis of racial cognitive ability (IQ) differences and socio-economic mobility of Americans and factors that are associated with success in life.

Let's begin with the truth. They aren't race problems they are black problems. You don't see Whites, Asians or Indians terrorizing the streets in gangs, clubbing senior citizens with baseball bats, shooting their neighbors or involved in violent carjackings and drug-related murders Remove blacks from the equation and 95% of our crime goes away.

There is research showing that black students' IQ is higher in schools on military bases, where blacks are not the majority and there is less "ghetto" culture. There is a bias in majority-black urban areas against "acting whiite." This negates any environmental effect on IQ. Murray admits there is an environmental factor, from 20-60 percent.

Crime in America, paint a black face on it. Theft and murder are in their DNA you can't make laws to make everything equal. Blacks kill other blacks for nothing but honor or their sneakers. You might think a 'role model' would help they would murder the role model for no reason. When defund police started and 'equity' introduced it was carte blanc for mayhem by blacks in the streets. How do you turn it around now no one knows? This is prejudice but the black family was destroyed in the Civil Rights Act of '64 when Lyndon Johnson said, "we'll have those blacks (not the word he used) voting for us (the democrats) for a hundred years. This article details what all the laws and equity will never fix. Truth denied is disaster waiting to happen.

So? The Race business is entrenched and thriving. It is so thriving that hoaxes are celebrated, such as Jussie's great adventure in nooses. Daily reports of "discrimination" rewarded with judgements. Coffee shops who write "Negro" on their cups or receipts. And there is always a loud cry (and often a campaign) for "justice", which continues even when the hoax is exposed. Murray is another white guy telling what's "wrong" with minorities. It will perhaps set of a kefluffle of racism charges, not unike "The Bell Curve" did years ago. Statistical proof matters not in the discussion of human equality, where the presumption is everyone starts at the same line, and those who cannot keep up are victims of some -ism to penalize them due to race, gender, age...add your own. The Community thrives on this sort of stuff - another cracker writing a book to keep us down. See? The problem will never go away because it can never go away if Marray's findings have any validity. It is apparent from the illegal flow of immigrants to provide cheap labor that the politicos and buisness have written off the urban black community as an economic plus. As the size continues to grow, the real issue is what to do with the expanded number of unproductive wards.

I read a study some years ago that put forth statistical evidence that if crimes committed by blacks and hispanics were eliminated, the United States would have a crime rate roughly equivalent to that of Luxembourg. It made sense then, and it makes sense now. Charles Murray is one of the smartest guys in America. He tells the truth, even when it’s inconvenient or painful to face. That’s why some segments of American society (cough cough liberals cough black commentators cough) don’t want you to hear what he has to say.

Get educated and become a (more or less) productive member of society, and you will likely succeed. The PROOF of that is how many blacks HAVE actually succeeded, and their success is admirable. But race hustlers have succeeded in persuading those who are unable or unwilling to participate lawfully in society that they are VICTIMS of Whitey, rather than being lazy and ignorant thugs. Why is it that Jamaicans or Asian who have come to America have no race problems and never regard themselves as victims? In all of the looting videos, I never see Asians participating in criminality … blacks? - ALL THE TIME. Democrats have a penchant for blaming others for their self-created failings. SO “We Need Reparations!”

"Murray recommends the American credo, individual freedom, responsibility, accountability, and morality." The problem with this is that Blacks have been and are being taught that those are White values that Blacks are verboten to accept. Blacks are also being taught that they are victims, in a large part so the Black "leaders" (Sharpton, Jackson Lee, Jackson, Waters, Hank Johnson etc) can stay in power by keeping the victim mentality. The basis of this victim mentality is that all their problems stem from racism and as a result they cannot succeed. So, in reality, the government and Black leaders are the real problem.

6% of the US population commits 50% of the murders in the country. That 6% has two traits in common, they are black and male. If you want to reduce crime and violence in the country that 6% has to be your focus. If that is racial profiling then we need more of it not less. Sorry if that hurts anyone's feelings.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion has managed more than just a foothold in academia. It has a stranglehold. To even apply for a faculty position in academia, even in the hard sciences you must first pledge your commitment to DE&I and explain how you will promote it in your academic work and teaching no matter that your academic specialty is materials science or geology. This precludes the emergence of any new Charles Murrays. When his generation passes so will any thought of meritocracy as a desirable goal.

A recent epidemic of airline near misses deserves both attention and reflection. In mid-December, a San Francisco-bound United Airlines Boeing 777-200 airliner, just a little over a minute after taking off from Maui, Hawaii, suddenly dived. It lost more than half its altitude and came within 800 feet of crashing into the Pacific Ocean before pulling up. About a month later, an American Airlines jet crossed the runway at New York City's John F. Kennedy International Airport just as a Delta Air Lines plane was accelerating for takeoff. The two aircraft nearly collided.

In celebrating Black history month this year, I thought it would be fitting to finally recognize a triumph of African American literature that has, ironically, been falsely accused of racism. That achievement is embodied in a 1946 Walt Disney movie entitled Song of the South. I assume many of you have not seen the film because Disney has succumbed to the accusations of racism by refusing to re-release it in any form. Nonetheless, you may at least recognize the film’s buoyant Academy Award winning song, “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah” which arguably forms the musical backbone of the movie.

America's Civil War, which raged from 1861 to 1865, was by far the bloodiest conflict in our history. Original estimates put the death toll at about 620,000, including some 360,000 Union and 260,000 Confederate dead. More recent estimates of the carnage are even higher: 750,000 to 850,000. The Battle of Antietam on Sept. 17, 1862, at Sharpsburg, Maryland, still ranks as the bloodiest day in U.S. history, with nearly 23,000 casualties on both sides, including 3,675 killed in action.
