CNN's Brian Stelter Just Got Destroyed...By

Lord have mercy. This Disinformation and the Erosion of Democracy summit at the University of Chicago’s Institute for Politics has unearthed some gold regarding the liberal media news complex and how they’re a massive problem…to the very theme of the conference. The Atlantic’s Anne Applebaum pretty much exposed why the media is so distrusted when she admitted why she buried the Hunter Biden story. She said she didn’t find it interesting.

You can bet your last dollar if it had been Don Jr., or Ivanka's laptop it would have been all over every major newspaper in the country, as well as the leading story on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN and MSNBC.

Isn’t funny when the left lies are confronted with the truth it’s is called a right wing conspiracy instead of the truth. It seems it is ok for the left to peddle lies and conspiracy theories. With respect to the proven Russian hoax it is not a theory but a fact. We all know that choosing not to cover the Hunter Biden laptop story had nothing to do with how interesting it is. Only Kool-Aid drinking liberals buy that hot air filled excuse. Another question I have is - could they not get a better speaker than a washed up ex-CNN executive who was fired because of his total lack of journalistic integrity, who continually showed total disrespect toward objective and truthful reporting along with taking a top rated network and running into the ground where network commercials had better ratings and viewership. Not to mention making the work place a safe haven for pedophiles, and rapists/ sexual predators. They really couldn’t get anyone better? I guess the organizer’s speaker budget must have been small.

All I saw was a panel of cowards. Stelter was practically screaming "LOOK A SQUIRREL!" CNN employs Anderson Cooper, a former CIA spook! CNN's mantra is misinformation, to control the masses for their globalist masters. Joy Reid is the biggest racist on the planet and her show is finally getting cancelled-not because she spouts racist bullshit, but because its ratings suck.

Applebaum found Hunter's laptop "uninteresting". Extreme bias - "popular right-wing narrative about CNN" OF COURSE, what else are they going to say? The media has been caught with their pants down. They had to go full out, into the tank with dems to get rid of Trump, who was shredding them. That recklessness comes with an eventual cost when the truth reasserts itself. Individuals so caught may dissemble and dodge with some success. But when all the liberal media took the same stance, the pattern and the reality is unmistakable. They lied. They are grossly biased. They are not reporters, they are political agents, propagandists. So, like all criminals do, they deny and blame others. However, each time they do this, it becomes more obvious what they are doing and they lose more and more credibility. An innocent person would be embarrassed over blowing such a major story. They are not.

You are bang on target #1. Under your scenario the "news" networks would have literally fallen all over themselves to be the first to report it. They would have not even bothered to take the time to verify the story, just like so many other Trump "bombshell" stories that turned out to be completely bogus.

Stelter never got around to the point of journalistic ethics. The simple reason is that he knows any are dead, killed by market research and compliant news rooms. Put aside CNN, and look at any network's morning shows. They are strongly female-centric and are designed to build a hive of viewership. Each has a queen or two presenting, and some male drones in minor roles, like the weather. Everything is happy and light, to get your day off right. And whatever news is presented to create "concern", from actual hard news to features on health, diet, the envronment...add your own.

National Review’s Kevin Williamson redefines conservatism 10 replies

National Review’s Kevin Williamson is urging conservatives to divorce, or at least, separate, for a time, from the Republican Party -- that is, from the Donald Trump-led Republican Party. In a recent column, Williamson claims that what he calls “sensible conservatives” twenty years ago or so “could take a realistic, instrumental view of the GOP and find it reasonably useful for our ends.” But not today. Not when the Republican Party consists of “vulgar” populists and “infantile” nationalists who loathe free trade, free speech, the U.S. military, and libertarians.

Who can objectively assert that anything they are doing is good for America or for our allies in the free countries of the world (assuming any remain post-COVID)?

Marin Marais died 60 years before the French Revolution. He composed “Voix des Humaines,” an instrumental trio with a very haunting beginning, that, with hindsight, seems to presage the bloody termination of the French evolution of feudalism. More and more of us today sense the gathering storm of oppression-triggered revolution and some even risk cancellation by speaking loudly about the contradictions of policies that put people above the law in this nation founded on laws, not men.

It has been unseasonably cold in Washington D.C. this spring. The blossoms on the cherry tree on my front lawn had barely bloomed when a cold snap and heavy wind-driven rain scattered the petals all over my front lawn. I stepped out front to pick up a box of herbs left there to be planted when a neighbor passed by. I don’t know him very well, but his virtue signaling was a rather good clue as to where his sympathies lay. His lawn was peppered with signs: ”Biden-Harris,” “Hate has no Home Here,” “Build Bridges not Walls,”

It seemed like another tiresome Oscar night devoid of any entertainment and replete with virtue signaling and political spiels. Just when you were about to yawn from boredom, Comedian Chris Rock ascended the stage to present the best documentary award. Rock began with a jab at Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz for being nominated on the same night. His next target was Denzel Washington as Macbeth, Rock said “King Lear ain’t got nothing on me.” Next, Jada Pinkett-Smith caught Rock's eye “Jada, I love you, G.I Jane 2, can’t wait to see it,” referring to the actress’s bald head.

It seems to me that the point of the superpartisan congressional January 6 Commission is to tar former president Donald Trump with inciting a riot (“insurrection” for the hyperbolic), an issue they raised and lost in the second impeachment battle. Perhaps they hope to persuade the Department of Justice to institute some cooked-up criminal charges against him for his comments on January 6. If I’m right about their objective, this week the Supreme Court in an unanimous opinion seems to have dealt them a setback.

A few days ago, porn star Stormy Daniels lost her appeal in her failed defamation suit against Donald Trump; she now owed more than $300,000 in legal fees to President Trump. "I will go to jail before I pay a penny," a defiant Daniels tweeted after the ruling. Daniels also posted a lengthy statement on Twitter where she claimed Trump had won the case “on a technicality” because her former lawyer, Michael Avenatti, failed to file a notice of appeal in her defamation suit on time. Avenatti himself was convicted in Manhattan federal court last month for defrauding Daniels out of money she was owed in a book deal

Being a Republican voter is no easy thing. Social media censor you. Companies fire you. The Department of Justice persecutes you. Democrats assault and harass you. And all the while, most Republican Party "leaders" stand back and do nothing as they watch. We've got the only political party in modern history controlled by a small group of elected officials who fundamentally disagree with the prevailing viewpoints of 90% of the voters who put them in office. Election after election, their unstated yet indisputable campaign slogan is simply, "Vote for us because we don't hate you quite as much as the other guys."

As Tuesday's Supreme Court confirmation hearing dragged into the evening hours, Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) raised a simple question about when constitutional protections for life — or even just life itself — begins. When does life begin, in your opinion," Senator Kennedy asked Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson for starters. "Senator... um... I don't... know," Judge Jackson replied, followed by an uneasy, awkward laugh. "Do you have a belief?" Kennedy pressed. "I have, um, personal religious and otherwise beliefs that have nothing to do with the law in terms of when life begins," Jackson responded. "Do you have a personal belief though about when life begins?" Kennedy probed.
