This is a lie so egregious that even USA Today felt compelled to debunk it. The sign was removed nearly 50 years ago.

Any bets that those that were behind the sign in the 70s were 100% Democrats?

Beat me to it #2. For once a "fact check" gets it more or less right about Trump, but it leaves out the political affiliation of the ones who actually put up the sign decades ago. The KKK was a Democrat organization, like antifa.

The signed was placed there by dimokkkraps. That is the organization responsible. Why does no one want to hold those responsible responsible ?

Democrats have always been the party of slavery - and not just blacks, either. Blacks were convenient, because it's hard to change your skin color. Before the civil war it was worth a black's life, even in the North, if they lived too close to a Democrat stronghold. Kidnapping free blacks was not unheard of. But really... what they've ALWAYS wanted was to be king and god of everyone else.

The democrats of Johnston County were KKK racists back in the mid 70s. Racist democrats ran the black Republican elected officials (the ones they didn't kill) out of Wilmington, NC back in the day. I didn't learn that from a book; my grandmother told me it happened.

I grew up not an hour from Johnston County back in the ‘60s and ‘70s. I remember that sign back then. It has been LONG gone.

PHOENIX -- The number of people coming to the southern border to seek asylum is growing. It’s now also putting a strain on workers at Sky Harbor airport. Hundreds of migrants are arriving daily, and many don’t have finalized travel plans when they arrive, so airport staff is stepping in to help. Arizona’s Family spoke with a handful of migrants at the airport. They came from different places like Cuba, Peru and Haiti. Up to 400 migrants arrive at Sky Harbor each day with nothing but the clothes on their backs, a plastic bag full of personal information and a

If you haven't filed your taxes yet and panicked Friday at the sight of April 15 on the calendar, you can breathe easy -- the tax deadline this year isn't until next week. The Internal Revenue Service moved Tax Day, which is almost always April 15 each year, again for 2022 for the third straight year. The deadline in 2020 and 2021 were both extended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This year's push-back had nothing to do with COVID-19, and everything to do with a local holiday in the IRS' hometown, Washington, D.C. Federal offices in D.C. are closed on Friday

President Biden's approval rating has reached the lowest level of his presidency, with a new poll showing only a third of Americans approve of his job performance. Just 33% of Americans approve of Biden's job performance compared to 54% who disapprove, according to the results of a Quinnipiac University poll released Wednesday. That mark ties the lowest approval Biden has received in the poll during his precedency, matching the number set in January when the president faced a 33-53 approval deficit. Biden's approval numbers are slightly among registered voters, with 35% saying they approve of the president's job performance compared
Gender equity, family planning missing

American women and gender-diverse individuals are disproportionately affected by climate change, but municipal climate plans fail to address family planning or gender equity solutions, a new report has found. The report, released on Tuesday by the Center for Biological Diversity, scrutinized 21 climate plans in cities nationwide, whose total populations represent about 10 percent of the U.S. population. The authors found that none of the plans included family planning, contraception or reproductive health solutions and that only one city — Boston — referred to gender equity as a climate change mitigation strategy. “Societies are more resilient when governments invest in

This week, climate activists disrupted the UK’s oil supply, because they believe they face a desperate choice. Nonviolent resistance now, or the unthinkable violence of climate change later. “There is a need to break the law,” says Just Stop Oil’s Melissa Carrington, “so we are not guilty of greater crime.” But is she right? In so-called liberal democracies, we have a default obligation to obey the law. It’s a moral duty, as well as a legal one. It’s part of our implicit contract with the government we elected, which provides us, in return, with the protection of justice. But what

SEATTLE – Seattle’s Link Light Rail is a freeloader’s paradise. There are no turnstiles, so passengers are supposed to either buy a ticket or tap their pre-paid card. But so few riders are paying, fares are currently covering just 5% of the system’s operating costs, a fraction of the 40% mark Sound Transit set as a requirement. At a recent Sound Transit Board meeting, the outgoing CEO summed up the situation. "Our fare collection system relies overwhelmingly on an honor system," Peter Rogoff said, "and our increasingly acute problem is that our riders aren’t honoring the system." By one measurement

A major Saudi government-owned broadcaster aired a sketch mocking President Joe Biden as US-Saudi relations plunge to a new low. In the comedy sketch on MBC's "Studio 22" show, which aired Monday, Biden's character appeared sleepy and forgetful, wandering offstage before being tugged back by a likeness of Vice President Kamala Harris. Biden is then seen confusing Spain and Africa, forgetting Russian President Vladimir Putin's name, and mistakenly calling Harris his "first lady." The sketch then ends with the Harris character dragging the sleeping Biden character off stage. (Snip) The Saudi government owns a majority stake in MBC and it

The New York Times published an op-ed Friday that proposes eliminating belief in God — as one of the holiest weekends of the year begins. Titled “In This Time of War, I Propose We Give Up God,” the article claims that God is responsible for “war and violence” and for “oppression and suffering,” and suggests that people stop teaching children about Him. Author Shalom Auslander, who is disillusioned about his upbringing in a religious Jewish community in New York, argues (original emphasis): God, it seems, paints with a wide brush. He paints with a roller. In Egypt, said our rabbi, he even killed first-born cattle.
