Here's the Next 'Walls Are Closing in

I’m a huge fan of horror movies, but I also know when certain franchises have become ridiculous. Friday the 13th and Friday the 13th Part II are great. It gets silly after part III—and totally goes off the rails by the time ‘Freddy Takes Manhattan’ was released. It’s the same with these ‘walls are closing in on Trump’ stories. Just end it. We all know the ending. Nothing is going to happen. Nothing happened with Russian collusion because that was a hoax. Nothing happened when Michael Avenatti declared war on the Trump White House. Avenatti screwed over his client, Stormy Daniels

Liz’s new friends think her father was a war criminal. That doesn’t say much for her choice of friends. I don’t think Trump had much good to say about her father either. Her father signed some letter against Trump (i forget which one, there have been so many) that oozed of lack of integrity if not corruption. The dims hated the iraq war or at least found it a useful cudgel. I don’t think Trump thought it was wise either. So you can see why her confused mind would take the wrong path.

At least one Democrat isn’t giving President Joe Biden a free pass for overseeing the worst inflation in 40 years. Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia issued a scathing statement on the development on Tuesday, rejecting Biden’s attempts to invoke political excuses for the price squeezes on middle-class Americans. “Let me be clear, inflation is a tax, and today’s historic inflation data tells another chilling story about how these taxes on Americans are completely out of control,” Manchin said. Manchin directly criticized Biden’s administration for failing to provide solutions to the problem, instead looking for someone to blame. “When will this end?

His family shared the sad news Tuesday on his Twitter account. “We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Gilbert Gottfried after a long illness,” they said. “In addition to being the most iconic voice in comedy, Gilbert was a wonderful husband, brother, friend and father to his two young children. A flying object collided with President Joe Biden as he spoke on energy policy at an Iowa ethanol plant on Tuesday. Americans questioned what the mysterious white substances could’ve been, with most spectators eventually coming to a likely conclusion. It appears that a bird delivered a “dive bomb” of sorts directly on the shoulder of the President of the United States. [Video] Biden was only slightly fazed by the aerial attack, continuing on with his speech after a glance at his left shoulder. The venue in which Biden gave his speech, POET Bioprocessing in Menlo, Iowa, was an indoor space.

On the first Earth Day, April 22, 1970, the world was warned that billions would die soon because of a disastrous ice age. The Earth had been cooling for thirty years and it was about to get much worse. Crops would not survive the ice age so the people couldn’t be fed, The Earth was cooling even though CO2, the population, and fossil fuel consumption was rising rapidly, which we are told causes warming. The complicit media dutifully repeated these warnings to scare the public with no questions and no research. The warnings were 100% wrong because they were WAGS (wild a** guesses) instead of based on scientific data.

Very few Americans believe the nation is doing “very well” under President Joe Biden’s leadership, a Sunday CBS News poll revealed. Only 7 percent of Americans believe the country is doing very well, while 33 percent say the nation is doing very badly. On the economy, nine percent of Americans say Biden’s national economy is doing very well. Thirty-one percent said it is doing very badly. On whether Biden is doing enough to reduce 40-year-high inflation, only 31 percent say he is, while 69 percent say he is not. Biden’s approval with independents is also struggling. Only 12 percent of independents strongly approve of the president. Forty-one percent strongly disapprove.

Once upon a time, the mantra of the libertarian Left was "keep the government out of the bedroom." President Joe Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi want to regulate any gadget or appliance with an electric switch that turns on in your house or your driveway. New Department of Energy rules will dictate the amount of water that comes out of your showerhead, how much warm air comes out of your heater and how much cool air comes out of air conditioners. There is even talk about gadgets monitoring your home's temperature in the winter and summer months. How is any of this the government's business? The latest shower regulations are especially aggravating.

At what point do people stop doubting Ron DeSantis? The critics said the Florida governor couldn’t win the battle over Critical Race Theory. They said he couldn’t ban mask mandates in schools. Democrats shouldn’t have dished it out if they couldn’t take it. As it appears more likely that Republicans will retake the House of Representatives and possibly the Senate, discussions of impeaching President Joe Biden are becoming more prevalent on the right. However, not everyone is keen on the idea. House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) recently warned against impeaching President Biden when they retake the House. As calls for Biden’s impeachment are increasing on the right, it appears the lawmaker is signaling that he would not lend his support to such an endeavor. He might want to rethink this one.

Bidenomics. It’s a beautiful thing. If you’re Joe Biden and the Democrat Party, that is. On Planet Biden, you — if the “you” is Biden — can have it both ways. You can lie your head off about “record job growth” and “record GDP growth” out of one side of your face, then turn around and out of the other side of your face, lament the heavy burden facing “everyday Americans” due to a “still recovering economy,” which was only bad in the first place because Trump. Then again, everything wrong in America is because Trump. Except for stuff that is because Putin, of course.

SEATTLE – Seattle’s Link Light Rail is a freeloader’s paradise. There are no turnstiles, so passengers are supposed to either buy a ticket or tap their pre-paid card. But so few riders are paying, fares are currently covering just 5% of the system’s operating costs, a fraction of the 40% mark Sound Transit set as a requirement. At a recent Sound Transit Board meeting, the outgoing CEO summed up the situation. "Our fare collection system relies overwhelmingly on an honor system," Peter Rogoff said, "and our increasingly acute problem is that our riders aren’t honoring the system." By one measurement

Atlanta—The National Urban League released its annual report on the State of Black America on Tuesday, and its findings are grim. This year’s Equality Index shows Black people still get only 73.9% of the American pie white people enjoy. While Black people have made economic and health gains, they’ve slipped further behind white people in education, social justice and civic engagement since this index was launched in 2005.
