More of my older sister's music but I do remember his music and his sunny personality. RIP When he slugs Conrad Birdie, he did what every man in the audience wanted to do.

Fun movie. Always enjoyed it. He was the guy every mom was happy to have her daughter date. Ann Margaret was young, innocent, and a sexy young woman all in one movie. This was one movie that showed her all around talent. Thanks for the memories. RIP

I do, OP. Had the good fortune about 30 years ago to see him, Frankie and Fabian at a summer concert in North Carolina. It was produced by my brother in law and we were all staying at the same hotel. Spent some time in the lobby after the show chatting with them and getting a picture taken. Great guys, all of them. No big egos. Especially enjoyed Bobby. Sad to read this but love that memory.

My mother-in-law grew up with Bobby Rydell (sort of). My wife has a signed picture with him from when she was in high school that is more than just a publicity picture (he knew that she was her mother's daughter). I am not completely clear how the family knew him, but my wife had a great aunt who sang in clubs in Philadelphia around the time he got his start, so that may be part of it. The stories are all kind of vague, but I am under the impression that Bobby Rydell made an effort to remember those people he knew growing up who were not in show business, even if the connection was limited.

I just celebrated (?) my 79th birthday 3 days ago, so this story is kind of depressing, in more ways than one. May he rest in peace.
