Producer prices increased a scorching 11.2% for the year ending in March, according to a report Wednesday from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the highest on record.
The inflation rate in Wednesday’s producer price index report was up 1.4 percentage points from the previous month and is the highest in the gauge’s 11-year history.
Wednesday’s news signals more inflationary pain to come for households. The producer price index gauges the wholesale prices of goods, which are eventually passed down to consumers.

In the wee hours of Saturday morning, lawmakers in the Land of Lincoln put forth and passed a controversial and probably unconstitutional bill requiring gas stations to post stickers on their gasoline pumps. The stickers will laud the efforts of the Democrat-controlled legislature by stating the following;

“She doesn’t back down, she doesn’t give up, and she has ALWAYS been with ‘Trump,’” the former president said in a statement through his Save America PAC, calling Greene “a warrior in Congress.”

One of the more remarkable aspects of our modern culture is the phenomenon of having two liberals as some of the loudest voices for conservativism. Elon Musk – who up until five minutes ago was a darling of the left for his efforts against climate change – is now public enemy #2, behind only a certain former president, of course. And Bill Maher, who openly espouses socialism, is suddenly the voice of reason against wokeism. Go figure.
Indeed, Maher is not a conservative. But he is a liberal in the classic sense, which means that he adamantly opposes cancel culture and is open to reason.
