Blue State Bullies: Illinois Dems’ Outrageous
Strong Arming Of Small Businesses

Original Article

Late on Friday night, when most of us were either sound asleep or out kicking off the weekend with some partying, Democrats at the Illinois statehouse in Springfield were busy trying to save their jobs by bullying owners of gas stations. In the wee hours of Saturday morning, lawmakers in the Land of Lincoln put forth and passed a controversial and probably unconstitutional bill requiring gas stations to post stickers on their gasoline pumps. The stickers will laud the efforts of the Democrat-controlled legislature by stating the following; “As of July 1, 2022, the State of Illinois has suspended the inflation adjustment to the motor fuel tax through December 31, 2022.

Comments:

No way is this constitutional. The business owners should sue the heck out of them.

As of July 1, 2022, the State of Illinois has suspended the inflation adjustment to the motor fuel tax through December 31, 2022. So, your next scheduled increase in government abuse payments will be a double whammy. Yeah!

Illinois politicians have been bullying and shaking down small businesses for decades, this is not news. Building inspectors, restaurant inspectors, union thugs all have side incomes from shakedown tactics. Democrats have had a stranglehold on this state and that's how they do it.

If you have to force people to display a sign that tells everyone you are doing a great job, you are not doing a great job. The residents of Illinois should put a Biden sticker over these propaganda stickers.

This is similar to what the democrats did in the 70's, going after oil companies until it was no longer profitable to sell gas. Some you might remember what happen then. Are Illinois residents ready to wait in line for hours to get 5 gallons of gas. A Democrat dream come true!

It looks like Joey stickers praising the increase of fuel prices worked so well, that the demonrats think there's will work just as well, even if they have to bully the stations to plaster them on.

The law says only that merchants have to display their little propaganda stickers. It doesn't say that you cannot make each one the centerpiece of a larger display with a title in 3-inch font that says "This is the self-serving lie that your corrupt government demands we display" along with a concise rebuttal of the stickers' content. At this point, it's clearly a First Amendment issue that they cannot contest and the stickers become more of a liability than an asset to their gaslighting campaign. At that point, they would most likely be quietly withdrawn.

We have family in fascist ILL inois. The nice thing is we can fill up at the border and not fill up again until we cross the border. And the reason is not so much the gas tax as it is the fascists legislated a Winter gasoline blend and wait for it, a Summer blend, which cost more than the neighboring state. And the Illinois voters are CLUELESS.

Way back in 2012 I made stickers which read, “When 0bama came into office, a gallon of gas cost $1.89”. I put them on the pumps every time I stopped for gas. At that time, a gallon was around $3.89 in my area. The price of gas and the miserable economy in 2012 should have ended 0bama’s presidency, which is why I still believe that that election was stolen. Not that Romney would have been much of an improvement.

#15; Illinois prices are a 'price umbrella'. Competing businesses can raise their price to just under the 'umbrella' and still be cheaper. In essence, the IL price sets the state border prices too.

President Joe Biden's plan to lift Title 42, the pandemic edict allowing for blanket expulsion of migrants entering the United States at the southern border, lacks support from not only Republicans but also the majority of independents and a significant number of Democrats across the country. The administration announced April 1 that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention would lift the Trump-era order starting May 23, allowing for the normal processing of refugee asylum requests inside the U.S. The administration has repeatedly stated that the order is a "public health" measure meant to stop the spread of COVID-19,

The inflation rate in Wednesday’s producer price index report was up 1.4 percentage points from the previous month and is the highest in the gauge’s 11-year history. Wednesday’s news signals more inflationary pain to come for households. The producer price index gauges the wholesale prices of goods, which are eventually passed down to consumers. American politics and the governments produced by it are generally considered to be driven by what happens in the so-called “center.” Conventional wisdom states that it is the highly coveted independent and undecided voters that determine electoral outcomes. Each party has its base, and to gain power they must try expanding that base and pulling voters from the center into their columns. But a poll released last week may put that philosophy on its ear with a seismic shift in opinion from a key demographic. College-educated white liberals are arguably the most loyal group within the Democratic Party’s base, but others are critical as well,

It is one thing when China brutally suppresses dissent in Beijing. It is more troubling when it does it in Hong Kong. It is even more troubling when it sends agents to Dubai to harass and intimidate Chinese nationals in foreign countries such as the United Arab Emirates. But to harass and spy on a Chinese American U.S. citizen on U.S. soil is an altogether different matter. That is why last week’s announcement of arrests by the Department of Justice of three Chinese nationals for “stalking, harassing, and spying on U.S. residents” on behalf of China’s secret police is so alarming.  CORRECTION*

Which brings me to Democratic strategist Donna Brazile, who appeared on ABC’s This Week on Sunday and gave the most laughable assessment of the upcoming midterms I’ve seen.
