A Pennsylvania man fatally shot a father of four as he tried to unload his gun while stopped at a red light, police said. Lloyd Amarsingh, 28, has been charged with third-degree murder in the Friday morning shooting that he claims was accidental, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.
Amarsingh, of Darby, told detectives he pulled out his gun and tried to unload it while stopped at an intersection in Upper Darby, but the weapon went off accidentally as he tried to remove a live round from the chamber, according to an affidavit of probable cause for his arrest.
The weapon fired from Amarsingh’s white Audi A4 and struck Jim Hunt, 56, of

Similar to the "decline to report party affiliation" means a perpetrator was a Democrat, the fact that the assailant is not ID'd as a legal gun owner means that he is not a CC-licensed NRA member.

It would take a willful suspension of disbelief to write this headline. A black man shoots a white man in the head in a drive-by shooting. This is a hate crime and a murder, but the headline says cops say it was an 'accident'. If it works for Alec Baldwin, it will work for this thug.

That's the best excuse he could come up with on the fly, and especially when the poor man was under extreme pressure from White Supremacy.

Shooter was Nafrican. Man shot was evil, lily-white, crackah-ass honkie supremacist. Standard ops. Nothing to see here. Move along.

I don't know too much about guns, but how does a gun "accidentally" go off while unloading it? Isn't the bullet chamber open and apart from the firing part of the gun? And who unloads a gun while stopped at a red light anyway? The alleged shooter is either really unlucky or really stupid. Either way, his idiocy has just killed someone who was doing nothing other than sitting in his van stopped at a red light. Dumb people do dumb things. He should have waited until he got home to unload the gun.

Guns don't kill people. Really stupid gang-banger morons driving $40,000 German cars kill people.

Something tells me it would be a waste of time to commit this excuse to memory in the event I were ever to find a use for one.
It's been a while since the Philly area was my home away from home but I suspect if one were to be the least bit curious about how these events really unfolded, you'd want to know what possessed the man to have a loaded gun to begin with (the easy part) and what circumstances at that place and time changed to cause him to decide he should unload the weapon.

Not buying this incredible feeble story 'excuse'.
#6 - they don't - you have to pull the trigger. Period, end of story.
If it is a revolver, pull the trigger and the gun fires. Period.
If it's a semi automatic and a round is IN THE CHAMBER and the slide is IN BATTERY ( fully closed )
pull the trigger and the gun fires. If the slide is out of battery ( open, even slightly ) pull the trigger,
nothing happens.
This fool is either lying through his teeth or should not be allowed near anything more dangerous
than a used, soft bar of soap !

I seriously doubt that he was "unloading".....other than perhaps in the way, "He unloaded the gun into the guy." way of "unloading".
Even if true, and I doubt it, extreme incompetence and stupidity.

The perp already won, he is only charged with third degree manslaughter. I want him to demonstrate how one unloads a gun while pointing it, above the window level, at a man's head - and gets it to go off. This murderer will get probation because the prosecution is in agreement on open season on polar bears... our own, keep alert and armed.

This was no "accident". Just the behavior that happens every day in areas that resemble the deographics of Philadelphia, Chicago, St Louis, and other large urban areas. There is no hope for many cities. All you can do is more to "safer" locations. Once the safe places are gone, so is America.

You cannot text while driving, but no one said you couldn't unload your weapon while driving.

Many years ago, I knew a woman who was married to a cop. He purchased an antique pistol and was sitting in his living room “cleaning” it when it went off and hit her in the hip. He claimed it was an accident. Right. About as much of an accident as this murder.
He got thrown off the force and she got a divorce.

Why would a person want to unload a firearm while driving an automobile?

It is impossible to fire a gun trying to unload it! Revolver or Automatic! He fired on purpose! Explaining how it happened in court will be fun to watch!
