The Senate passed a procedural motion Monday night to proceed with Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson's confirmation - voting 53-47 to discharge her Supreme Court nomination from the Judiciary committee and bring up her name for a vote before the full chamber.
Moderate Republican Senators Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Mitt Romney of Utah all joined Democrats after an 11-11 vote earlier on Monday left her Supreme Court nomination in a dead-lock.Democrats want to vote on her confirmation by April 8, when Congress breaks for a two week spring recess. With a 50-50 split Senate, and the backing of at least three Republicans, Brown will all but assuredly
If the Turtle had any cojones, he would kick all three of them out of the GOP. But, what the UniParty wants, the UniParty gets...

Another despicable consequence of the theft of a presidential election and several Senate elections, to have this radical, unqualified, criminal coddling dolt confirmed.

Isn't there something wrong with one's soul when 100% of Paedophiles agree with you...So it must be with Romney, Collins and Murkowski.

A farce from start to finish. Frightening that there are people who think this FIRST is a good thing.

Don't they need 60 or 51 to confirm her?
All three senators hate us conservatives.

It is now fact: the Senate is NOT split 50/50.
(Wonder how much money, if any, it took…)

I confess to knowing absolutely nothing about the Mormon faith, but it is a belief system so I assume that means a belief in God and His Commandments. God does not want us to be slothful (did Mitt Romney or any member of his staff read and study Judge Jackson's legal opinions concerning child sex offenders (some of the victims were so young - even babies)? God does not want us to lie; so could Romney or any member of his staff have read Judge Jackson's opinions in those areas and still say they favor her being admitted to the Supreme Court? I would think that the actions performed by these child sex offenders would be those that cry to Heaven for vengeance, so how could a faith-filled man or woman vote in good conscience for this nominee? Again, I know nothing about the Mormon faith, and no one is questioning Judge Jackson's educational background, her intelligence, her work experience, or her race. This should be a question of moral integrity. Besides, there are so many highly qualified black women who are ready to take her place.

There is another way to look at the Brown nomination. When was the last time the Supreme Court looked at a pedophile case? I'm guessing never, because pedophilia is a criminal act and there are witnesses. So, pulling Brown off a federal bench is one way of making sure she never gives another pedophile an EZ pass. Brown will be in the Kegan and Sonyamator camp--always writing dissenting opinions. That's the silver lining of sorts.

Until KBJ can provide a definition, KBJ should not be referred to as a "woman". Nor should the pronouns she or her be used.

But Is "she" a "she"? "She" doesn't Know! It seems to be somewhat disrespectful to proclaim this momentous candidate as the first Black Woman on the Supreme Court. We're being told that up is down and black is white these days. Make it stop!

An inexpensive and effective chastity belt type device needs to be developed to protect our kiddies from the pedo-lovers, otherwise known as pedophiles. Seems to be the in thing now, since good old fashioned heterosexual activity has fallen out of fashion.

So, that says to me that those Three Republicans think it's okay that the Judge gave Pedophiles a Lesser sentence instead of the suggested amount. SHE obviously thinks it's okay for an Adult Man to Rape a Toddler and film it so everyone can enjoy it. Those Three Republicans must think it's okay as well. I guess they don't care if a 4 year old Boy, or Girl, is tortured by a grown man, raped and filmed for fun. This should forever be part of what we say about those THREE Republicans. They should now OWN IT!

Got to wonder if there are ANY nominees to the Supreme Court who these three would ever vote against. Do they believe the Senate is there to simply rubber stamp for the President?

Every Mormon that I have ever met has been a first-class, honest and decent human being but then I have never met Mitt Romney. One must remember that the entire religion was started by one man so it will not be perfect. So was Islam. I have also met many good muslims but those on the dark side are some of the worst human beings in the world. So it's not Romney's religion that makes him what he is. As for the two Twisted Sisters, it's time for both of them to go. They consistently side with the democrats and they are always wrong except for the one time that Collins wasn't.

If Clarence Thomas would say he identifies as a woman, he could claim to be the 1st black woman on the SCOTUS. Dems, who idolize Lia Thomas, wouldn't have an argument. It would be fun to watch the LSM and peppermint patty try to spin that.

Romney, Murkowski and Collins will go down in history...alongside Benedict Arnold and Axis Sally, except their betrayal is not to a foreign enemy of the Republic but to a domestic one. No Senator can honor their oath to the Constitution and vote to put a person on the highest court who neither believes in nor understands it.

Romney should have been booted from the Mormon church many years ago
as he has NO faith that he actually follows. Possibly his $$$ donations allow him an exception, or the church itself no longer believes in it's purported beliefs. The same as Pelosi and other politicians who do not follow their churchs' beliefs.

Had to fix that egregiously misleading headline. Not that it makes any difference in the outcome; but I'm sick of seeing those Senators be called Republican, almost as much as I'm sick of seeing the media call men women and vice-versa, affirming (even praising) whatever the gendergarbage activists demand.

Evil people. Someone needs to filibuster this. THAT would require 60 votes and I don't think that they can get that many.
Senator Scott....how about you filibuster this vote?

My error, I know that the filibuster was removed from judges.....all judges or SCOTUS, too? Probably all, for a moment I was thinking that the filibuster still applied to SCOTUS nominees.
