The Oklahoma Legislature passed a law Tuesday that makes performing an abortion in the state a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison. The governor is expected to sign the bill into law, and it would go into effect this summer.
Once in place, the law would have major regional impacts. More Texans have sought abortions in Oklahoma than in any other state since a Texas law banning abortions after about six weeks of pregnancy went into effect Sept. 1.
“Oklahoma is going from a state where we’ve been a haven for refugees who’ve needed support to a state that has chosen to make refugees of its own citizens,”

First, victimhood, then intersectionality.

Oh no, so you will have the terrible inconvenience of having to go to New Mexico or Louisianna to slaughter your unborn baby now!!!! Oh the inhumanity of that inconvenience!!!
Hopefully that slightly longer drive will give these women a little more time to realize that they really don't want to kill the small unborn baby growing inside them!!!!!

There was a ''camp meeting'' held in Tulsa recently that can start singing & shouting now that the praying is done and the Governor is about to sign the bill. So may it be.

Gee...it costs less to fly SWA to LA or Vegas than it does to drive to Oklahoma...and THERE you can get aborted for FREE. (plus...drinks are free)

It used to be that the smoke and mirrors rallying cry by the pro-aborts was “Make abortion safe, legal and rare”. I notice that the sign in the photo at the top of this article omits the word “rare”. If that doesn’t just say it all about the left’s intentions…

The great thing about 50 states is that you can see the impact of lawmakers.
If you don't like the taxes in New York, you can move.
If you don't like the abortion restriction in Texas or Oklahoma, you can move.
If you don't like the lawlessness in Oregon, you can move.
If you don't like the burden on business in California, you can move.

Maybe people in OK need to practice safe sex and have a ticket to AZ or CA if they need to have an abortion.

I disagree with this bill. It takes any decision on a woman's body away from her. If she's been raped or has a life threatening issue, who gave the decision on this woman's body to politicians or those who think they know whats better for her? And there is always the comment about woman's responsibility over conception. What clueless people with limited life experience. Their comments usually start with "well if THAT woman....."

Oklahoma now has the distinction of state with most restrictive abortion laws. God bless you Oklahoma. Wow, the imprisonment of lawbreaking abortion providers puts further teeth to it. As I read the article, it is sad that there were so many Texas women coming to OK for abortions after our restrictive laws went into effect that there were weeks long waiting lists?? I guess both TX and OK women will be having to go to AR, Kansas and Missouri now. I hope the extra time and inconvenience may cause some of these ladies to reconsider…

#12, there is nothing in that law that stops any woman in Oklahoma from slaughtering her unborn baby in an abortion. Not a single word.
It just says that she won't be able to spill that innocent blood on Oklahoma soil. Kansas, Nebraska, Louisianna, New Mexico, and Colorado are all within driving distance. There won't be any roadblocks on the roads out of Oklahoma stopping her from travelling to any other state if she is hell-bent on killing her unborn baby.

But where she has the medical procedure, if warranted, should not be decided by politicians and people who presume they have the right to make that decision for her.

Amazing thing about pregnancy... it is a preventable condition. We have the technology, and for the "old school" sort, there's a low cost option called, "abstinence."

#12 - This bill is about elective abortion, "contraception" after the fact. Should a woman face the horrific circumstance of her life verses her baby's, the option to abort as a medical necessity would still apply. Fortunately, those cases are rare.
Every life is precious and God-given, no matter the circumstances of the conception - even in the event of rape or incest. Rape victims receive "official" counseling that presents abortion as the only answer. Many victims report that the abortion was like a second rape. No one speaks on behalf of the child's life. No one speaks to the fact that child carries half of their mother's DNA. It is her child, too. The most inspiring group at the annual Walk for Life are the rape-conceived young people and their mothers; both by birth and adoption.
For fifteen years I lived under the pain of mortal sin, having aborted three pregnancies between the ages of 18 and 21. I was a strident supporter of abortion because to be otherwise I would have to confront the evil that I had done. With the grace and forgiveness of Christ I can now testify to the horrors of this procedure. Not only are members of the family missing at the dinner table, but the lives of mothers and fathers who have aborted their babies are often lost in substance abuse, promiscuity and pornography. The soul-pain is excruciating. More than one life is taken on the abortion table.
Prayer is our greatest weapon. Join "40 Days for Life" in the annual Lenten prayer vigils in front of Planned Parenthood facilities and other abortuaries. These are silent vigils, non-confrontational. They offer alternatives to abortion-minded women, some even have buses equipped with sonograms. 80% of abortion-minded women who see a sonogram change their mind. Be a part of the solution. Be a Prayer Warrior for Life. Pray at a vigil near you.

The unborn child is a living human with his/her own DNA. Abortion is the deliberate killing of a human being. The number one reason women go for an abortion is that their contraception did not work or they did not use contraceptives and became pregnant.
What Planned Parenthood and their like will not tell the women who come for an abortion is that they are more likely to suffer from depression, substance abuse, divorce, and even suicide. Check out the stats.
