A pair of principles that drive the political left – never letting a crisis go to waste, and using prior acts of government-imposed restraints to gradually but methodically steal liberty – is taking the U.S. down a path that, if traveled too far, goes in only one direction. We trust that Western nation voters will reverse the trend before it’s too late. But first they have to recognize how the country is being manipulated. If government authorities can shut down an economy and rob Americans of their freedom with lockdowns and mask and vaccine mandates over a virus, then they can, and will, do the same for a crisis,

Ignoring the provided reasons, I have this in my mind of what is going on with automobiles. We are told new cars are unavailable because of "The Chip Problem". We are also told that shortages are caused by "The West Coast Port Problem". Each was reported in a way that did two things. They told of a huge problem that explained the present situation. They also failed to further report or investigate ant solutions. No probing questions on how to fix the issues. This leaves the lofo person with a kernel in their mind but no real information. Enough information floats around in their head to make them think they understand the problem but not enough to wonder what can be done. This makes them complacent to say that any problem with cars/consumer goods are "Because of the chip/because of the ports" and no further action is needed. So now we have accepted the claims. At the same time, regarding automobiles, the price of fuel is and will continue to rise and electric cars are being both mandated and pushed by manufacturers who are becoming stakeholder driven, not shareholder driven. It will take time to get these electric cars production ramped up. We are going to be continually deprived of new vehicles until the electrics are available and then , those who want new cars will buy electric just to finally get a new car. And then the government has us. Any time it wants to shut down movement, cut electric power supply. This is all a behavior modification exercise. Electric cars are the best example because if we wanted to limit oil and gas use and promote clean transportation Hybrids would be the choice with auto swap when batteries needed charging but they have been largely abandoned to all electric.

They have shown who they are over the last several decades. If they want to limit your behavior or what you can have, or tax it, it is guaranteed to be bad for America and for freedom. It doesn't matter what the justification, it will be bad for all of us and good for them. This is because they choose an outcome, and then invent argument that make it sound reasonable. Thats not just democrats. Thats every one of those dirty scoundrel politicians.

In the 1920s, ready access to automobiles fundamentally changed life in America. We had real freedom, we could see the country, on our own schedule, on our own terms, and in those early days, with little affordable travel infrastructure, we became campers. We carried tents and cooking gear and could have a week or five, as we could afford and see the country. The left is offended by this freedom. They are working to remove that freedom from people. They will take away your ability to travel, to visit people and places that you choose, when you choose, carrying with you whatever you choose. This last is key. They can disarm you on public transportation, but not in your private car. Disarming us is important to them, it is a key part of control.

Electric Vehicles EV are just computers with motors snd seats. Every computer has a MAC address which provides a unique number for that computer. Hence when you go out of state and plug in they know right where you are just like your cell phone location. Difference will be if you have tickets or are wanted for any reason they can deny charging rights at that charging station. You are SOL and stuck there, whereas gas vehicles can pay cash, credit and refuel and skedaddle. They will be able to limit your range of travel and not allow charging more than X miles from your home. Get the picture?

Vow To ‘Unify’ All Americans: I&I/TIPP Poll

One of President Joe Biden’s signature promises during the 2020 campaign was that he would “unify the country.” Now, a little more than a year into the presidency, most Americans don’t feel he has lived up to his promise. In fact, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows they feel America is divided, not united, under Biden. “I pledge to be a president who seeks not to divide, but to unify; who doesn’t see red states and blue states, only sees the United States,” Biden told followers after declaring victory on Nov. 8, 2020. That speech was seized on by many as a sign

Day after day we read of cases in which a speaker was shut down on a college campus, a group was denied a forum or chased from the public square, or free inquiry was snuffed out because there might be words uttered or written that could “hurt” someone. Will the administrators and professors who refuse to punish this behavior, and even sometimes support it, ever understand that the invented grievances aren’t about offense but about having power over others? Just this week, The College Fix reported that a University of Virginia student wrote in The Cavalier Daily that it was dangerous for former Vice President Mike Pence

We’ve now listened to three days of a scheduled full week of testimony by Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson. And to be honest, we’ve heard enough. Anyone who truly cares about the Constitution and the rule of law should reject Jackson. Jackson has a winning smile and pleasant demeanor. Those are nice personal traits, but not ones that necessarily elevate you to the Supreme Court. Still, she’s also a Harvard Law grad, clerked for Justice Steven Breyer, worked as a public defender, served on the U.S. District Court

Plenty of commentators have wondered how it is that Vice President Kamala Harris has the ability to use so many words yet say so little. Some speculate that she refuses to read her staff’s briefing materials and so rambles. Others that she just loves the sound of her own nasally voice. Others say that she just isn’t too bright. We believe there’s another possible explanation. Being from California, Harris no doubt was raised on a steady diet of Hollywood fare. Is it too much of a stretch to believe that she watched “Plan 9 From Outer Space“ as a child

By all evidence, Ketanji Brown Jackson’s nomination to the Supreme Court will be a shoo-in. Not because she’s supremely qualified, but because her nomination — as the press reminds us in every headline — is “historic.” Yes, there are and have been black justices and women justices, but never, ever a black woman justice! Who would dare stand in the way of history? President Joe Biden assumed that by checking all the correct woke boxes his candidate could escape the sort of vicious scrutiny, rumormongering, character-destroying attacks visited upon Republican nominees – apparently forgetting that

Are you better off today under President Joe Biden than you were a year earlier? And are you financially prepared for a downturn in the economy or a job loss? The March I&I/TIPP Poll suggests most Americans would answer “no” to both of those questions. The poll asked: “Generally speaking, is your family better off today than it was one year ago, worse off than it was one year ago, or about the same as it was a year ago?” Fewer than one in five (20%) said they were “better off.” while more than twice that number — 42% — said they were “worse off.”

As inflation has continued to climb, so have the number of President Joe Biden’s excuses for why he’s not to blame. First, it was a “transitory” effect of the economy rebounding from COVID lockdowns. Then it was the result of supply chain problems because ports didn’t operate 24/7. Then it was due to a lack of competition among beef suppliers. Then it was greed. Now he’s settled on Vladimir Putin. None of it is true. But the White House is so determined to take advantage of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine it invited TikTok “influencers” to propagandize them. And just like Biden and Congress, the Fed has failed at its job. At the Fed’s own website, it states clearly what its primary job is, by law: “Conducting the nation’s monetary policy by influencing money and credit conditions in the economy in pursuit of full employment and stable prices.” Well, today, we have neither “full employment” nor “stable prices.” On Tuesday, the government reported that wholesale prices, that is prices just a step before retail, surged 10% in February.

Joe Biden’s trip overseas has been a disaster! Biden has dramatically escalated his rhetoric against Vladimir Putin, calling for the Russian leader to be removed because of his brutal invasion of Ukraine. “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power,” Biden’s said at the very end of a speech in Poland’s capital that served as the capstone on a four-day trip to Europe. Biden has frequently talked about ensuring that the Kremlin’s now two-month invasion becomes a “strategic failure” for Putin and has described the Russian leader as a “war criminal.” But until his remarks in Warsaw, the American leader had not said that Putin should not run Russia.

What mattered most and what will be remembered for a long time was a single line the president of the United States said about the president of Russia: “For God’s sake, this man cannot remain in power.”(Snip)Maybe the idea just popped into Biden’s addled brain and he added it on the fly.

In Boston University Law Review article “The Antiracist Constitution,” the Washington and Lee University professor alleges our nation’s founding document “serves white supremacy.” He aids his argument with George Floyd’s death, the Fugitive Slave Act, and the fact that Thomas Jefferson owned slaves. The professor points out a peculiarity: It is June 28, 1776. The Continental Congress orders that Thomas Jefferson’s draft of the Declaration of Independence “lie on the table.” … Jefferson, who enslaves hundreds of people, nonetheless includes an assertion that “all men are created equal.” Moving forward to fugitive slaves: It is September 18, 1850. Congress passes the Fugitive Slave Act…

That obsession has consistently put progressive social policy ahead of military cohesion and readiness. However, Jim Webb, who was a Marine infantry officer while in Vietnam, then the Navy secretary under Ronald Reagan and, lastly, a Virginia senator during the Obama years, has written an op-ed about a different concern: The potentially damaging, purely operational changes Marine commandment Gen.
